On Friday, prosecutors outlined their sentencing recommendations in documents filed in the United States District Court of Massachusetts. This comes months after the actress admitted to paying $15,000 to a college counselor to inflate her daughter’s SAT scores. According to the sentencing memo, prosecutors are shooting for the 56-year-old to serve one month in jail, followed by 12 months of supervised release and a $20,000 fine. They are arguing for jail time while emphasizing that Huffman being confined to her large Hollywood Hills home wouldn’t be too much of a punishment. The former Desperate Housewives star who was previously facing up to four months in jail before pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud earlier this year. In response to prosecutors’ sentencing recommendations, Huffman’s legal team requested one year of probation, 250 hours of community service, and a $20,000 fine. The actress asked for leniency in a letter submitted to the court. Felicity Huffman: “When my daughter looked at me and asked with tears streaming down her face, 'Why didn't you believe in me? Why didn't you think I could do it on my own?' I had no adequate answer for her. I could only say, 'I am sorry. I was frightened and I was stupid.'” pic.twitter.com/Ffq9qpvjkL — Aaron Leibowitz (@aaron_leib) September 6, 2019 “I honestly didn’t and don’t care about my daughter going to a prestigious college. I just wanted to give her a shot at being considered for a program where her acting talent would be the deciding factor,” the letter read. “This sounds hollow now, but, in my mind, I knew that her success of failure in theater or film wouldn’t depend on her math skills.” Felicity’s lawyers also submitted Letters in Aid of Testimony written by her friends and family, including her husband, William H. Macy and her former Desperate Housewives co-star Eva Longoria . Felicity Huffman is set to be sentenced on September 13.

Jennifer Aniston covers the October issue of InStyle. Considering the actress is 50 years old and still looks the way she does, editors refer to Aniston as the “Babe Eternal” on this cover, a label over which no one has any beef. Take one glance at another aspect of the cover image, however, and you’ll likely join the many readers who did the same, shook their heads and asked… … what the actual f-ck?!? In short, Aniston’s skin has very clearly been darkened for this cover shoot. She’s nearly unrecognizable. As you can see below, Aniston is wearing a black DKNY bra in this photo, along with a Lalaounis necklace and Elizabeth Locke, John Hardy and Reinstein Ross bracelets. But it’s the airbrushing that has received a majority of the attention because, we mean… just look at this: Wrote InStyle on Instagram, as a caption to this snapshot: “Jennifer Aniston has been a beacon of American glamour for the past 25 years, and now she’s stretching her boundaries. “In a series of five newsstand covers (just try to choose a favorite), she channels iconic beauty looks from the ‘60s and ‘70s.” That may all be true, but it hasn’t stopped many folks from around the Internet from wondering: Why does Aniston look African-American?!? “Beautiful cover, but why is she ten shades darker than she really is,” one person questioned, while another stated simply: “I don’t remember her being this dark.” Neither do we. To be clear, most complaints were directed not at Aniston, who didn’t go blackface or anything here. But instead at the people behind the scenes at InStyle. “I get that these covers are supposed to be channeling the glamour of yesteryear but that ‘glamour’ routinely marginalized women of color for white women (whether made tan or otherwise),” wrote Instagram user Patricia Birch astutely, adding: “Seeing Jennifer Aniston several shades darker than normal reminds me of that legacy. “In 2019, if you want a brown skinned woman on your cover, put a brown-skinned woman on your cover.” For comparison’s sake, here is another recent snapshot of Aniston on this same magazine’s cover: Aware of the backlash, a publicist for InStyle told NBC News: “This one shot in particular was inspired by Veruschka,” a German model who was popular during the 1960s. The publication then sent NBC News three images of Veruschka appearing heavily tanned, which they said inspired the photo of Aniston in question. Again, this also may be true. But we’re pretty sure you can’t blame the average reader for not being aware that Veruschka was the inspiration for a photo of Jennifer Aniston on the cover of InStyle. Do better, editors. Source: Jacopo Raule / Getty Zazie Beetz Speaks On Her “Cat Wash Routine” In Lieu Of Showers If you’ve ever been caught in the middle of a huge crowd at a concert or any other event, you’ve probably never thought to yourself, “these people 3 inches away from me definitely shower too much.” Despite that, Atlanta and Joker star Zazie Beetz thinks that Americans shower too much–which is a routine she admittedly doesn’t subscribe to. In a recent interview with Into The Gloss , the actress gives some insight into why she isn’t a fan of hopping into the shower everyday like the rest of us. “I actually think Americans shower too much. I like a cat wash—I do my face, my armpits, and my… intimates. I’ll use cocoa butter to moisturize. Nostalgic and functional—and it smells wonderful. Sometimes I use Sabon’s body scrub, but most of the time I just make my own with brown sugar and an oil, or brown sugar and honey. That’s quick and easy. I don’t use any perfumes… they’re so expensive. For years, I have been saying that I want a scent, because I love when you smell somebody and think, ‘Ah, you smell like you.’ But I kind of do have a scent—it’s just from the products I use, and not from perfume.” The German-born entertainer also says that she recently decided to transition into a skincare routine using only natural products. Beetz says that the recent environmental crisis inspired her to switch to a beauty regimen that was more sustainable–but she’ll always keep a container of Palmer’s cocoa butter on deck. Zazie also spoke on her daily workout regimen and how it changes depending on what role she’s playing at the time: “When I was Domino in Deadpool , I was on this really intense workout regimen. In the morning I would do two hours of fight training, which was essentially mixed martial arts plus stunt work. Then, in the afternoon, I would do two hours of weightlifting. That was five days a week, four hours a day, for months. I didn’t have much of a workout routine before, and such an abrupt shift was traumatic for my body.” She didn’t say whether or not her showering increased when she was working out for four hours a day, but we can only hope there was more than a “cat wash” happening after those intense sessions. Either way, a lot of the actress’ fans didn’t seem to love the news that she’s not getting clean very often and the idea that Americans “shower too much” isn’t exactly taking off.
