Source: Mirrorpix / Getty Michael Jackson Seen In Jewelry Store With Sex Abuse Accuser In 1989 The public case against Michael Jackson has taken a turn and this one is going to be hard to ignore. TMZ has obtained surveillance footage from a store where Michael Jackson allegedly took sex abuse accuser James Safechuck shopping for jewelry back in 1989. Jackson is said to have donned a disguise including a fake mustache, phony teeth, and a wig to shop at a Zales in Simi Valley. Those of you who weren’t born or were too young might not remember, but this lil’ excursion became a big story in the late 80s because security stopped MJ thinking that he was in disguise to rob the store. At the time no one knew that the little boy seen in the video was with Jackson. TMZ has confirmed that the little boy was Safechuck. Obviously, this case will never see a courtroom, but in the court of public opinion this could be very damning to those were on the fence about Jackson’s guilt. In the Leaving Neverland documentary, Safechuck speaks of an “engagement ring” that Jackson bought him. That ring was not purchased during this trip according to TMZ, but the video definitely begs the question “What the HELL was Jackson doing in a jewelry store with a young boy?”. What do you make of this?
“L eaving Neverland ” premiered six days ago, which cause child abuse allegations against Michael Jackson to resurface. Now Brandi Jackson is speaking out, Jackson’s niece. You might know one of them, because it was a huge pop music scandal. Wade is not a victim, he’s an # Opportunist.” The rumors is that Robson cheated on Jackson with Britney Spears while she was dating Justin Timberlake . She closed with, “You constantly talked about wanting to be ‘relevant’. It’s time to stop these lies and live your own life.” pic.twitter.com/HuVhFo8knG — Brandi Jackson (@BJackson82) February 11, 2019 In 1993, Michael Jackson was accused of molesting a 13-year-old boy. In January of 1994, he reportedly settled for $23 million. The accuser’s father committed suicide in 2009, five months after the singer died. Jordan Chandler reportedly has never come forward about the allegations and supposedly lives outside of the country. In 2017, when Wade Robson, a choreographer who is featured in “Leaving Neverland,” accused Michael Jackson of sexual assault—even though he’d said in the past the singer didn’t assault him—there was a hunt to find Chandler. According to The Daily Mail , he left the U.S. to avoid investigators. In 2003, Michael Jackson was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent to a 13-year-old boy. He was ultimately acquitted of all charges. Robson testified at the 2003 trial, but James Safechuck , the other person featured in “Leaving Neverland,” did not. Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges. As you’ve likely heard by now, this week saw the premiere of the controversial documentary Leaving Neverland on HBO. The film has left countless viewers scandalized, and many say it left them with no doubt that Michael Jackson is guilty of child molestation. Of course, as is usually the case with decades-old controversies, there are vehement believers on both sides of the argument. The Jackson family has decried the film as an act of ” public lynching ,” and an attempt to denigrate a man who’s no longer alive to defend himself. Around the world, protesters have gathered at screenings of the film to show their support for Jackson and loudly declare their belief in the late music legend’s innocence. The debate has mostly involved those who believe Jackson’s accusers and the much smaller group who maintains that the pop star is innocent. But one of the world’s most famous people has found herself unexpectedly caught in the middle. Following Monday night’s conclusion of the two-part docuseries, HBO aired a follow-up special entitled Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland . The goal of the broadcast was to shed light on the accusations against Jackson through interviews with two of his alleged victims. It was also part of an effort to provide support for those whose lives have been touched by abuse and who may have been triggered by the revelations contained in Leaving Neverland . Oprah is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, and she presented the facts of the Jackson case in a clear and level-headed fashion. Nevertheless, she now finds herself the victim of a targeted harassment campaign spearheaded by Jackson defenders. Multiple outlets are reporting today that Winfrey has received death threats, and the insults hurled at the media icon in online discussion forums are truly nauseating. The situation is made even more appalling by the fact that Oprah has been an outspoken advocate for child abuse survivors throughout her life. “It happened to me at 9, and then 10, and then 11, and then 12, 13, 14. You don’t have the language to begin to explain what’s happening to you,” Oprah told People magazine last year. “That’s why you feel you’re not going to be believed. And if the abuser, the molester, is any good, they will make you feel that you are complicit, that you were part of it,” she added. “That’s what keeps you from telling.” To our minds, the things that Jackson confessed to during the various investigations into his alleged sex crimes are enough to render him forever indefensible. But the fact that those who choose to defend him are now attacking survivors of child sexual trauma has brought this already ugly situation to a new depth. Fortunately, brave souls such as Wade Robson, James Safechuck, and Oprah Winfrey will not be intimidated into silence. According to reports, the late Michael Jackson is next up to be chronicled for his alleged sexual misconduct with minors. Rolling Stone: The two-part, 233-minute Leaving Neverland , named after Jackson’s famed California ranch, will receive its world premiere as part of the festival’s Special Events category before airing on HBO this spring. If you’re a Duggar fan, we certainly don’t need to tell you that Jana Duggar is single . And if you follow the family closely on social media, then we may not need to tell you about the growing legend of Chuck Vuolo, Jeremy’s hipster brother. In case you’re unaware, every time Jinger and Jeremy visit his family in Texas, fans absolutely lose their minds over older brother Chuck. This week, Jeremy posted the above photo in honor of Chuck’s birthday: “Happy Birthday, big brother! I admire you in so many ways and am grateful to God for you,” Jeremy captioned the pic. “You’ve already been an amazing uncle to my daughter; I look forward to sharing “’stories of Uncle Chuck’ with her when she’s a bit older. I love you more than I can say. Enjoy the day, bro.” So we guess Chuck is a bit of a wild card? Of course, with how squeaky clean Jeremy and his family seem to be “stories of Uncle Chuck” probably include such rebellious behavior as the time he put his lunch money in the collection plate. Anyway, you may be asking yourself, what does this loose cannon Uncle Chuck have to do with Jana? Well, you see, Duggar fans are oddly obsessed with the idea of Chuck entering a romantic relationship with Jana Duggar. It all began when Jeremy posted some pics from a mini family reunion last month. “Set him up with Jana?” one fan asked. “I was thinking the same thing too,” echoed another. “I hope so she’s so sweet!” wrote a third commenter, adding: “How cute would they be?!” Jana courtship rumors surface at the rate of about one per month, and it seems like October will be entirely devoted to Chuck. Some fans are now convinced that Jana and Chuck are actually courting — and as far as we can tell this is based on nothing other than the fact that they have yet to publicly state that they’re not. Maybe those fans are onto something. After all, with this many members of the Duggar family involved, it seems like someone would clear the air and issue some sort of statement. Of course, it’s much more possible that Jana is still single and everyone involved is just enjoying a little free publicity. View Slideshow: Jinger Duggar Asserts Her Independence: I’m a Vuolo Now!
Source: WENN / WENN UPDATE 9/18/18 at 4:11 P.M. EST : Despite the former writer’s claims, Sesame Workshop released a statement saying Bert & Ernie were just best friends: “They were created to teach preschoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves. Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits, and characteristics (as most Sesame Street Muppets do), they remain puppets and do not have a sexual orientation.” — Everything you thought you knew (or didn’t know) about Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street as a child has just been confirmed by one of the show writers: They were gay. Email Submit Their tight chemistry makes sense now… Mark Saltzman , who joined the writing team in 1984, said he wasn’t trying to push any agenda, but the two characters’ connection was inspired by his own same-sex relationship with film editor Arnold Glassman, according to Queerty.com . Mark was Ernie, and Arnold was Bert. If you remember, Bert & Ernie were roommates at the 123 Sesame Street apartment. They always slept in separate beds, but they also always went back and forth with each other like couples tend to do. Saltzman, who was already with his partner before he became a Sesame Street writer, says he didn’t know else to write them, “but as a loving couple.” Follow @TheRSMS Saltzman on speculation around Bert and Ernie back in the day… I remember one time that a column from ‘The San Francisco Chronicle,’ a preschooler in the city turned to mom and asked “are Bert & Ernie lovers?” And that, coming from a preschooler was fun. And that got passed around, and everyone had their chuckle and went back to it. And I always felt that without a huge agenda, when I was writing Bert & Ernie, they were. I didn’t have any other way to contextualize them. The other thing was, more than one person referred to Arnie & I as “Bert & Ernie.” Saltzman on ways Bert and Ernie’s scenes reflected his relationship… How could it not permeate? The things that would tick off Arnie would be the things that would tick off Bert. How could it not? I will say that I would never have said to the head writer, “oh, I’m writing this, this is my partner and me.” But those two, Snuffalupagus, because he’s the sort of clinically depressed Muppet…you had characters that appealed to a gay audience. And Snuffy, this depressed person nobody can see, that’s sort of Kafka! It’s sort of gay closeted too. The writer says his personal relationship embodied the Bert & Ernie relationship. “I wrote sketches. Arnie’s OCD would create friction with how chaotic I was. And that’s the Bert & Ernie dynamic,” he said. Need a refresher on that dynamic? NurPhoto/Getty Chuck E. Cheese Patron Accidentally Shoots Himself We’re used to hearing about fist fights at Chuck E. Cheese, but the supposedly family friendly franchise—”where a kid can be a kid,” eat pizza, and play games—took child endangerment to new levels over the weekend. If the occasional beat down wasn’t enough to make you think twice about taking your chil’ren to the establishment, this latest story will definitely do it. A 22-year-old Tacoma, Washington patron needed to be hospitalized after he accidentally shot himself in the leg while inside the restaurant, causing both children and adults to panic, NY Post reports. Why he had a gun at Chuck E. Cheese of all places? No one knows. One father who was at the restaurant for a birthday party when the shot rang off said, “A bunch of people started running down towards the end and then they said somebody has a gun, so everybody starts running.” The restaurant was evacuated after the shot was fired and no other patrons suffered injuries, according to the site. As for the the young man who hurt himself, NY Post states: “The 22-year-old man was rushed to the hospital following the incident. He is expected to make a full recovery. Police added that the man brought his concealed-carry firearm into the restaurant legally, KOMO reported, but parents expressed outrage he took his gun inside the establishment in the first place, as it caters largely to children. A representative for Chuck E. Cheese was not immediately available for comment.” Hopefully, Chuck E. Cheese has a plan to increase security and ensure weapons are never brought onto the premises. It’s great that no one’s child was hurt, but the kids shouldn’t have been exposed to the firearm in the first place. Demi Lovato turns 26 years old today. In one sense, this is a very unhappy birthday, considering the singer is celebrating it far away from friends and family members in rehab. In another sense, however, this is a very very happy birthday. How so? How can we make that determination when Lovato is in some treatment center and will be remaining there for the foreseeable future? Because at least she’s alive, that’s why. It’s been made clear at this point that Lovato really did come close to death on the morning of July 24 when she overdosed from an unknonwn, possibly tainted drug . From that standpoint, those close to the singer are simply grateful she’s somewhere out there, able to acknowledge today’s occasion. Madison De La Garza is one of these people. The half-sister of this beloved singer, Madison shared an extra sweet and special message about Lovato on her Instagram page Monday afternoon. “Today could have been one of the worst days of my life, but instead i get to spend it thanking God, the incredible doctors, Demi’s team and everyone across the world who offered their support,” wrote the 16-year old as a caption to the precious image down below. It features Lovato holding her baby half-sibling oh so long ago. The note continues: “Without all of these people I wouldn’t have my big sister anymore. “I’ve been thinking about how I wish that everyone could see the silly little things that she does, like how her nostrils move when she says certain words and when she brushes my hair behind my ear when I’m trying to sleep, because those are the things I’m thankful for today.” Last we heard, Lovato has understandably canceled the remainder of her 2018 tour in order to focus on her well-being, both physically and mentally. Concluded Madison: they seem so small, but those little things make up my sister – not a singer, not a celebrity, and definitely not what she’s been described as in the media – she’s a daughter, a friend, and my big sister… and i am so, so thankful that i can tell her happy birthday. #happybirthdaydemi. How so very sweet and personal, right? Across the Internet, an endless array of self-proclaimed “Lovatics” sent along their best wishes to Demi as well. “Wishing the happiest of birthdays to the queen @ddlovato,” one person wrote. “Love you forever & thinking of you today.” Another chimed in as follows: “Happy Birthday Demi!! Hope you are feeling better. You are my inspiration, my idol. You always put a smile on my face. You are a survivor. We love you.” Truth be told, we doubt Lovato has Internet access right now. It can’t be helpful to her healing process. But we just hope she’s at least somewhat aware of all the people out there who are thinking of her today and everyday; wishing and praying for her well-being. Please hang in there, Demi. Please know how much you are loved and admired. View Slideshow: Demi Lovato: 19 Candid Confessions from Her Documentary
As impressive as the stupid things that Eric Trump says to defend his dad may be, nobody can outdo what Rudy Giuliani said over the weekend.. In an appearance on Meet The Press with Chuck Todd, Giuliani defended holding Trump back from testifying in the Mueller probe. As you will see in this video, part of Giuliani's argument led him to make the astounding declaration that “Truth isn't truth.” Speaking to Chuck Todd, Giuliani once again defended why Donald Trump has not simply sat down to answer questions that Mueller has for him. “Look,” Giuliani said. “I am not going to be rushed into having him testify so that he gets trapped into perjury.” Everyone's response, that the best defense against perjury charges is to simply tell the truth, is apparently not convincing for Giuliani. “And when you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he's going to tell the truth and he shouldn't worry, well, that's so silly,” Giuliani claims. The former mayor tries to explain: “Because it's somebody's version of the truth.” Chuck Todd finds that line odd, and asserts the obvious: “Truth is truth.” “No, it isn't truth,” Giuliani responds. ” Truth isn't truth. ” “Truth isn't truth?” Todd exclaims, incredulous. “Mr. Mayor, do you realize –” “No, no,” Giuliani, who seems to have just realized what came out of his mouth, interrupts. Chuck Todd correctly predicts: “This is going to become a bad meme.” His nonsensical claim that “truth isn't truth,” which seems born from some sort of Orwellian nightmare, did indeed become something of a meme. On Monday, Giuliani took to Twitter to try to explain why he was spouting off nonsense on Meet The Press . “My statement was not meant as a pontification on moral theology,” Giuliani protests. “But one referring to the situation where two people make precisely contradictory statements,” Giuliani says. “The classic 'he said, she said' puzzle.” “Sometimes further inquiry can reveal the truth,” Giuliani says. “Other times it doesn't.” His “explanation” doesn't really mean much. He's trying to say that Trump and Comey may have different versions of events, but two people with different versions of events does not amount to perjury charges. The concern by members of Trump's team, of course, is that Trump will make contradictory statements under oath or accidentally incriminate himself. Those are things that a compulsive liar who doesn't know anything about politics or legalities yet is convinced that he's the world's greatest expert in everything might do. And because everyone but Trump himself knows Trump's dispositions, many on both sides expect that he would commit perjury if he gives any sort of sworn testimony. That is what Giuliani fears but … for obvious reasons, he did not phrase it that way. Giuliani has made a number of outlandish statements while actings as Trump's personal attorney. From tweeting the word “you” to the upsetting claim that porn stars are worthless , he's said a lot and most of it has not made him appear to be particularly competent. Some believe that Trump hiring Giuliani as his attorney is simply a case of water finding its own level. Others, however, believe that all of Giuliani's bumbling is part of some master strategy to catch his enemies off-guard. At the very least, Trump might be able to try to appeal a future conviction on the grounds of inadequate representation.
