Bye Beyotches! Racist San Jose University Students Who Put Bike Lock Around Black Rommates’ Neck Finally Get Expelled

Deuces! San Jose Students Expelled Over Racist Taunting Of Black Roommate A group of San Jose University students who taunted their black roommate with racist treatment in what they say was a “prank” most certainly won’t be having the last laugh. via News One San Jose State College (SJSU) has reportedly expelled three of four students charged with racist bullying of a Black classmate, Donald Williams Jr., according to the San Jose Mercury News. The fourth student had his suspension extended, requiring him to attend counseling and remain on probation for the rest of his college tenure. Last November, then-freshman Williams reported that the students subjected him to constant abuse, which included wrestling him to the ground, fastening a bike lock around his neck, calling him racist names, locking him in his room, and showing him the Confederate flag. The discovery spurred a firestorm in the community. After an internal investigation, the students received misdemeanor battery and hate crime charges, even though they plead not guilty. The students are also banned for life from enrolling in any California State University colleges, per university documents. “It’s a no-brainer,” said LaDoris Cordell, a retired judge who anchored a task force investigating the incident. “They have no business being enrolled at SJSU.” Along with the minor, the expelled students include Logan Beaschler and Colin Warren. Joseph Bomgardner is the suspended student. Bomgardener received his punishment without admitting to having partaking in the attacks. San Jose State found that the students violated six university rules, including jeopardizing Williams’ safety. Geffon contends that the incident was just part of a series of harmless pranks the men saw on Comedy Central. He also denied they were racist in nature. Campus police reports state that the students nicknamed Williams “Three-Fifths” (an apparent reference to the Three-Fifths law, which once counted Blacks as only a fraction of a person). They called him “Fraction” when he protested the name. Williams’ parents reported his claims to the school after they found a Confederate flag placed over an Elvis Presley cardboard cutout in their son’s suite and a dry-erase board with the N-word on it. Good riddance!

Rev. Al Sharpton And The National Action Network Calls For A National Boycott Of Kanye West’s Confederate Flag Yeezus Apparel!

The good reverend would like a word with his Lord Yeezus. The Nation Action Network Calls For A Boycott For Confederate Flag Yeezus Merchandise Via EurWeb The National Action Network of Los Angeles, a leading national civil rights group founded by Rev. Al Sharpton calls for a national boycott of hip hop superstar Kanye West new clothing line featuring the confederate flag symbol. Why? “Kanye West already has several pieces of merchandise from his Yeezus tour that are emblazoned with the controversial Southern Cross at his tour store in Los Angeles. Our organization is determined to shut down that and any other store that decides to sell this merchandise. For African-Americans the confederate flag is symbolic of the hurt and pain of slavery in the South and the legacy it has left for those still living under those ideologies. When Kanye embraces and adorns this confederate flag, He also embraces the ignorance and racism that goes along with it.” I challenge Kanye West to create a clothing line of merchandise featuring swastikas if he’s sincere about his beliefs . But we all know Kanye doesn’t have the courage to do that. The Jewish community would run him out of town if he did and so should the African American community,” stated Najee Ali political director of the Los Angeles National Action Network. “Kanye West selling jackets with the Confederate flag on them is a disgrace and embarrassment. many of our ancestors were brutalized, kidnapped , raped, and murdered during slavery under this flag. Its inexcusable for West to be promoting and merchandising this flag. Were determined to boycott and shut down any other stores that attempt to sell this merchandise, stated Rev K.W. Tulloss President National Action Network Los Angeles. The Rev. Al Sharpton: “The Confederate flag symbolizes dehumanization, injustice and pain. It is a stark reminder of an era in our history that was defined by the abhorrent practice of slavery. And it is representative of a mentality that looked upon blacks as inferiors who needed to remain in the shackles of subservience.” Will any of YOU be joining Rev. Al and his posse of offended African-Americans in their boycott of Kanye Kardashian West? Image via Splash

Trace Adkins Confederate Flag Earpiece: Right, Wrong or Irrelevant?

Trace Adkins helped ring in the holidays last night, performing “The Christmas Song” at the Rockefeller Center tree lighting on national television. Simple and sweet, right? Not for those who looked closely. The country crooner created quite the raucous across Twitter because he was wearing a Confederate Flag earpiece during the rendition, as this symbol is considered by many to represent a tacit support of slavery. To others, it’s a mere symbol of southern pride. Adkins is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and talks in length about this organization in his biography, “A Personal Stand: Observations and Opinions from a Freethinking Roughneck.” Where do you stand on the singer showing off his Confederate Flag earpiece on such a platform. Respond now and watch the performance below:   Totally inappropriate! Totally fine, it’s his decision! Fantastic, wish the South had won! Who cares?!? View Poll » Trace Adkins – “The Christmas Song”

Skinheads, Neo-Nazis & Gang Bangers Protect And Serve: Racism Running Rampant In The U.S. Military

Racism In The U.S. Military They call it “rahowa” — short for racial holy war — and they are preparing for it by joining the ranks of the world’s fiercest fighting machine, the U.S. military. White racists, neo-Nazis and skinhead groups encourage followers to enlist in the Army and Marine Corps to acquire the skills to overthrow what some call the ZOG — the Zionist Occupation Government. Get in, get trained and get out to brace for the coming race war. If this scenario seems like fantasy or bluster, civil rights organizations take it as deadly serious, especially given recent events. Former U.S. Army soldier Wade Page opened fire with a 9 mm handgun at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin on August 5, murdering six people and critically wounding three before killing himself during a shootout with police. The U.S. Defense Department as well has stepped up efforts to purge violent racists from its ranks, earning praise from organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has tracked and exposed hate groups since the 1970s. Page, who was 40, was well known in the white supremacist music scene. In the early 2000s he told academic researcher Pete Simi that he became a neo-Nazi after joining the military in 1992. Fred Lucas, who served with him, said Page openly espoused his racist views until 1998, when he was demoted from sergeant to specialist, discharged and barred from re-enlistment. Experts have identified the presence of street gang members as a more widespread problem. Even so, the Pentagon has launched three major pushes in recent decades to crack down on racist extremists. The first directive was issued in 1986, when Defense Secretary Casper Weinberger ordered military personnel to reject supremacist organizations. That failed to stop former Marine T.J. Leyden, with two-inch SS bolts tattooed above his collar, from serving from 1988 to 1991 while openly supporting neo-Nazi causes. A member of the Hammerskin Nation, a skinhead group, he said he hung a swastika from his locker, taking it down only when his commander politely asked him to ahead of inspections by the commanding general. “We’re very strict on the tattoo policy here within this recruiting station,” said Sergeant Aaron Iskenderian, head of the Army recruiting office in Fayetteville, the Army town next to Fort Bragg. Iskenderian cited the example of a young man who came in recently with a tattoo of the Confederate flag. The potential recruit also told Iskenderian he had a black girlfriend. Iskenderian sent the issue up the chain of command, and the young man was rejected. Academics who study white supremacists say proponents of the “infiltration strategy” of joining the U.S. military have adapted, telling skinheads to deceive military recruiters by letting their hair grow, avoiding or covering tattoos, and suppressing their racist views. For neo-Nazis who get past the screeners, as with the gang members, the military needs a comprehensive strategy, said Carter F. Smith, a former military investigator who is now a professor of criminal justice at Austin Peay State University in Tennessee. “They are some of the most disciplined soldiers we have. They really want to learn to shoot those weapons,” Smith said. “The problem wasn’t just that we were opening the floodgates to let them in. We let them out after prosecution or when their time was up and we didn’t let the police know.” SMH at the guy telling them he had a “black girlfriend”… Thoughts on this? Source

Madonna Teases ‘Girl Gone Wild’ Video

Clip for second single off MDNA features Madge getting sexy with male dancers. By Jocelyn Vena Madonna in “Girl Gone Wild” Photo: Interscope Madonna has dropped a video tease for her new single, “Girl Gone Wild.” It’s a black-and-white homage to her wild, sexy days in the ’90s. The fashion video — shot, fittingly enough, by fashion photographers Mert and Marcus, who also did the artwork for MDNA — is fast-paced and full of quick shots of Madonna grinding, smoking, looking longingly out in the distance and being her usual sexy self while clad in chains and latex. It’s intercut with scantily clad male dancers who are seen dancing, touching and kissing one another. It seems that the only girl gone wild in this clip is Madonna. No word on when the full video will drop. “GGW” is the second single off the March 26 album release and features production by Benny Benassi; it was recorded in New York and London. While the album’s first single, “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” was brighter in the way that songs early in her career were, this song is more like what fans heard during her Confessions on a Dance Floor era. “I think the majority of the record is more action-packed,” Madge teased to MTV News back in January about the highly anticipated LP. “More high-energy.” The album also features production from longtime Madonna pal William Orbit , as well as Demolition Crew, Martin Solveig, Alessandro “Alle” Benassi, Hardy “Indiigo” Muanza and Michael Malih. “With William, I didn’t really have a discussion,” Madonna said of working with Orbit. “We’ve worked on stuff for so many years that we kind of finish each other’s sentences. He knows my taste and what I like.” Related Artists Madonna

‘John Carter’: The Reviews Are In!

Critics are not finding much to praise in film based on Edgar Rice Burroughs hero. By Kevin P. Sullivan Taylor Kitsch in “John Carter” Photo: Disney Disney’s $250 million effort to bring the iconic Edgar Rice Burroughs hero, to the screen is certainly not making critics leap for joy supernaturally high because of differences in gravity. In fact, many have outright damned the film, while others have found a deep and fun love of B-movie and pulp traditions We’ve rounded up a sampling of reviews of “John Carter,” so you’ll know whether to head out to the theater this weekend. The Story “Our hero is John Carter, the Confederate Civil War veteran who strikes gold in the Arizona territory but who is whisked to the planet Barsoom on the flimsiest of pretexts. Barsoom is Mars by another name, and the Virginia-born Carter lands in the middle of another civil war, this one between the Heliumites and the Zondangans. Dejah Thoris, the Heliumite princess known also as ‘the red girl,’ is about to be married off against her will. But love finds a way, and while Taylor Kitsch’s hunky John Carter and Lynn Collins’ dishy princess smolder as effectively as possible under the circumstances, Kitsch in particular seems lost in ways unrelated to his character’s predicament.” — Michael Phillips, Chicago Tribune Taylor Kitsch “If the movie had a leading actor with the galactic charisma necessary for the task, we might even be talking classic sci-fi. Since it’s impossible to put Harrison Ford into the Wayback Machine, though, we’re stuck with the unfortunately named Taylor Kitsch (TV’s ‘Friday Night Lights’) as John Carter, the burned-out Civil War veteran who finds himself mysteriously transported to the Red Planet while searching for gold in the caves of Arizona. Kitsch is decent company — manly, muscled, noble, sardonic — but there’s nothing unique about him, and we follow him by default.” — Ty Burr, Boston Globe The Backstory “It starts with a great story — of love and politics, time travel and mystical pathways between planets — badly sucked dry. Based on ‘A Princess of Mars,’ the post-Civil War/pre-Tarzan brainchild of arguably one of the most entertaining non-Disney imagineers of all times, Edgar Rice Burroughs, the book and the Barsoom (a.k.a. Mars) series that would follow has been picked over for plot points by Hollywood for years.” — Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times The Pixar Connection “The Pixar touch is evident in the precision of the visual detail and in the wit and energy of Michael Giacchino’s score, but the quality control that has been exercised over this project also has a curiously undermining effect. The movie eagerly sells itself as semitrashy, almost-campy fun, but it is so lavish and fussy that you can’t help thinking that it wants to be taken seriously, and therefore you laugh at, rather than with, its mock sublimity.” — A.O. Scott, New York Times The Final Word “The film was directed by Andrew Stanton, whose credits include ‘A Bug’s Life’ (1998), ‘Finding Nemo’ (2003) and ‘WALL-E’ (2008). All three have tight, well-structured plots, and that’s what ‘John Carter’ could use more of. The action sequences are generally well-executed, but they’re too much of a muchness. Does ‘John Carter’ get the job done for the weekend action audience? Yes, I suppose it does.” — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times Check out everything we’ve got on “John Carter.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . ‘Jonah Hex’: Dead Man Walking, By Kurt Loder

The venerable comic-book cowboy comes to life … sort of. Josh Brolin in “Jonah Hex” Photo: Warner Bros. “Jonah Hex” is about as anti- as a hero can get. It’s not just his chewed-up cowboy hat, his bullet-riddled duster and his perma-surly disposition. It’s the melted skin running down one side of his face and the ugly hole torn in the flesh next to his mouth (which makes whiskey-drinking a messy enterprise, but not — as we see just before he shoots up a barroom full of bad guys — an impossible one). In cooking down 38 years’ worth of DC comics for “Jonah Hex,” the new movie, director Jimmy Hayward and his writers have produced a lumpy soup of western action and supernatural shenanigans, heavily spiced with narrative confusion. The story leaps back and forth in time, and while the picture is sometimes funny, possibly intentionally, at some points it’s anybody’s guess what’s going on. In playing Jonah, Josh Brolin is stuck with a character whose facial constriction reduces him to little more than a walking bad attitude — he’s like Clint Eastwood’s old Man with No Name in the Sergio Leone westerns but without the warmth. The time is just after the Civil War (at least when it’s not during the Civil War). We learn that Jonah was framed for the betrayal of his Confederate battle unit, which resulted in the death of his friend, Jeb Turnbull (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Jeb’s demented father, Quentin (John Malkovich in full cuckoo mode), retaliated by killing Jonah’s wife and son, and disfiguring his face with a red-hot branding iron. Now (or sometimes now) Jonah roams the West as a bad-ass bounty hunter, his only love connection a beautiful whore named Lilah (Megan Fox). When Ulysses S. Grant (Aidan Quinn), president of the newly reunited States, learns that Turnbull is creating a “super-weapon” that will be a “nation-killer,” he recruits Jonah to stop him. Our battered hero is well-equipped to do so. After a close call with death some years back, Jonah was left with one foot in the spirit world; and so while he spends much of the movie being shot and beaten, he appears to be unkillable. He’s attended by a pack of hellhounds (“I wouldn’t try to pet ’em if I was you”) and has the useful gift of bringing dead men back to life with a touch of his hand. (“I’m sorry I killed you,” he tells one corpse, after raising him from the grave. Says the dead guy: “I’d better be getting back under ground.”) Jonah also has a taste for esoteric weaponry — saddle-mounted Gatling guns, dynamite-firing crossbow pistols — and a talent for dodging bullets by simply leaning back a bit to let them fly by (past our madly rolling eyes). The lovely Lilah is no slouch in the slick department, either: When she and Jonah are handcuffed to an overhead rod, the cuffs suddenly snap free, and she brandishes a lock pick. “My mama didn’t raise no fool,” she says. (To which we reply, “What the hell … ?”) Despite the picture’s wall-to-wall uproar — train-jackings, bullet storms, incessant detonations — there’s little excitement to it. The action is furious from the outset and remains at that level throughout, increasingly diluting its intended effect. And the dialogue, which I take to be satirical, never quite meshes with the film’s heavy violence. Like its half-dead protagonist, the movie never comes completely alive. Va. Gov. McDonnell reinstates Confederate History Month

Virginia's Republican Governor Bob McDonnell has offended many with his shocking reinstatement of Confederate History Month in the state of Virginia. McDonnell's two Democratic predecessors, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, refused to continue Confederate History Month, a practice that was insensitive and divisive at best, naked racism at its worst. http://www.examiner.com/x-4383-Portland-Progressive-Examiner~y2010m4d6-Republica… added by: unimatrix0
