N!GGER! is it a good word? by the "Burn a Koran Day" Church (dove world outreach)

Dr. Laura is not alone in her fight for the right to say n!gger. After dropping the N-bomb 20 something times a Pastor at the Dove World Outreach Church rants about the racist double standard that prevents white people from using the word as freely as a black man on HBO'S Def Comedy Jam. The Pastor claims no matter how anyone spins it – it is a form of reverse racism to get mad when Whites say n!gger. But then he drops this gem of wisdom – “The standard that the Bible clearly tells us, Black is Black – White is White. What relationship can the Darkness have with Light? we cannot keep coming back and forth, right is right – wrong is wrong. Hold the Stadard” This Pastor's pants must be on the ground . . Cause his head is up his ass. But that's just my opinion, what do you think of this Churches use of the N-word, and does anyone else see a not so subtle message in this Bible quote added by: Stoneyroad

Ground Zero Mosque on Greg Gutfeld’s Plan for Gay Islamic Bar: Respect ‘Sensibilities of Muslims’

As we noted in this morning’s Open Thread , Greg Gutfeld is planning on building the first gay bar catered to Muslim men next to the impending “Ground Zero Mosque.” Gutfeld wrote at his blog , the Daily Gut, that he has “already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.” On Twitter today, Gutfeld and the official twitterers of the Park51 project – the official name of the mosque – duked it out in what was a very telling exchange. See a full graphic of the back and forth below the fold, courtesy of Johnny Dollar  (pic at right by way of Jim Treacher ). “He’s got a point,” notes Allahpundit in reference to Park51’s tweet concerning “Muslim sensibilities.” “Construction projects that fail to consider local cultural sensitivities aren’t very conducive to dialogue, are they?” Indeed, the entire exchange seemed to strengthen Gutfeld’s position. He shouldn’t offend Muslim’s sensibilities? Well what about New Yorkers’ sensibilities? How is Park51’s total disregard for those sensibilities any more constructive in building a dialogue than Gutfeld’s? Outrage over Gutfeld’s move only reinforces the point his project is making (whether or not he intends it): yes, everyone has a right to build wherever they like, as long as they do it legally, but that “sensibilities” are a two-way street. Since Park51 has apparently taken a stance against Gutfeld’s bar, will media liberals condemn the mosque’s proprietors as homophobes the same way they condemned mosque opponents has Islamophobes? Individuals who opposed the mosque’s construction have been dubbed ” bellicose ,” ” xenophobic ,” ” Nazis ,” and ” intolerant know-nothings ,” while the mosque itself has been labeled a ” monument to religious tolerance .” The Twitter exchange today demonstrated the double standard espoused by the mosque’s proprietors. Will the media personalities who so vilified the mosque’s opponents endorse that same double standard? Or will they defend Gutfeld’s attempt to promote a dialogue about the treatment of homosexuals in most Muslim nations and communities, even if it means offending a few people?

Zac Efron is "So Proud" of Miley Cyrus

Last month, Miley Cyrus made one of the most confusing, ridiculous comments on record, saying there’s a double standard at work between the negative reaction she receives on stage and the praise heaped upon Zac Efron in movies. However, Miley also showed love for the former High School Musical star, telling Billy Bush: “Zac has a special place in my heart. If it wasn’t creepy and he wasn’t my friend, I would have posters of him on my wall.” After being shown this interview, Efron had the following to say to Access Hollywood about Cyrus: “I’ve known her since she was a little girl. It’s amazing what she’s done. She’s blossomed into this beautiful lady and taking the world by storm. I’m so proud of her.” In other words: Zac is the anti-THG when it comes to Miley Cyrus. As he tours the country in promotion of Charlie St. Cloud , meanwhile, Efron stopped by the Mall of America in Minnesota yesterday. Over 7,000 fans came out to meet and greet this handsome actor. Check out a trio of photos from the event below:

ABC News Prominently Features ‘Gay-Friendly’ McDonald’s Ad Airing In France

Is ABC News trying to position itself as the go to place for gay rights advocacy amongst the broadcast network websites? Ten days after featuring a video of a gay prom king and queen, the website prominently displayed a gay-themed McDonald’s ad. The video first appeared Monday with the title “McDonald’s Ad You Won’t See in the U.S: A fast-food commercial with a gay-friendly story is only airing in France.”  The website followed this up Tuesday with a piece headlined “Gay Group: Don’t Trust McDonald’s Commercial” (video follows with quotes from article and commentary): A gay business advocacy group is charging McDonald’s with hypocrisy after the global fast food giant aired a gay-themed commercial in France.  “They were looking to portray themselves as an advocate of the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) community or an ally … when it was completely counter to what their actions here in the U.S. were,” said Justin Nelson, the president and co-founder of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. “It’s completely hypocritical.”   Contrary to some online reports, Nelson said the NGLCC isn’t offended that the commercial won’t be broadcast on U.S. airwaves — it’s frustrated that it was broadcast at all, given McDonald’s recent history with the NGLCC.  For McDonald’s to “continue to distance themselves (from the gay community) here in the states and run an ad like that in another country — it just seemed to be a double standard or double speak,” he said. This, combined with the French commercial, led the chamber to send an angry letter, dated June 3, to McDonald’s vice chairman and CEO James Skinner. The letter dismissed the ad as “blatant geographic pandering” and called on McDonald’s to “show suppport for LGBT people, our families and our businesses — not just where it is politcally expedient, but around the globe.”  What is ABCNews.com telling us with all this gay rights activism?

Kristin Cavallari Does A Body Good

I don’t know what it is that Kristin Cavallari does all day, but it always seems to involve a sweet yoga outfit so who really cares. Here she is buying some household supplies the other day looking pretty damn cute. There’s kind of a double standard here, if she was a fat chick wearing this kind of outfit all the time it would be unacceptable, but because she’s got a tight little body nobody gives a crap if she just throws on some sweats to leave the house. I know I don’t, but when she becomes my girlfriend I expect her to put a little more effort into her choice of clothing… Or at least stop wearing a bra.

ManCrunch.com Super Bowl Ad: Rejected!

There’s little debate that Super Bowl XLIV will pit the top teams in each conference against each other. But there’s already a great deal of controversy surrounding commercials that will air on CBS during the game. A pro-choice group, for example, is taking extreme exception to the planned Tim Tebow ad on the February 7 broadcast

Adam Lambert Admits: I Went Too Far

Can we please, finally move on from Adam Lambert’s American Music Awards performance and focus on the great songs off the singer’s new album? A week after admitting he got carried away on stage and probably should have toned down his act, Lambert reiterated similar sentiments on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
