Dancing With the Stars: Was It Rigged for Laurie Hernandez?

Laurie Hernandez is the youngest person to win Dancing With the Stars.  The Olympic gymnast managed to win the title on last night’s season finale . Her win was thrilling watch, but it was not all the surprising. Being a gymnast, you could say she already had an advantage in the competition.  She already knew what she would have to do if she had any hope of winning, and that would mean she would have to undergo rigorous coaching.  It was evident way back on the season premiere that producers were betting big on Hernandez. She was given the closing performance on the opener and that generally means the producers thought she was the real deal.  View Slideshow: Dancing with the Stars Pros: Ranked! We already knew that votes from the audience counted and Hernandez was basically America’s sweetheart before even setting foot in the ballroom.  She got a lot of publicity throughout her stint on the Olympics and it was all good. America watched as she went from strength-to-strength.  Laurie Hernandez Breaks Down on Dancing with the Stars She and her team from the Rio Olympics were practically everywhere after taking part in the Olympics.  Additionally, producers opted to show clips of Laurie’s now deceased grandmother, who was very positive about her appearing on the show.  Showing things like that definitely makes it look like the producers were gearing Laurie up for the win. If America’s influence was not helping Hernandez before that, then it most definitely was after that.  Some people have started being able to accurately predict how the season will play out just based on the blatant favoritism in the premiere.  America does love people winning who have great stories, and there’s no denying that Laurie’s journey this year has been anything short of amazing.  It is difficult to rig a show with a scoring system, unless the judges play a part in it, but we’ll probably never find out.  What do you think about all of this? Cars 3 Trailer: Is Lightning McQueen Dead?!?

Cars 3 is coming to a theater near you … with a twist. A grim, dark twist very unexpected for the franchise. The trailer portrays the main character of the series, cocky but affable race car Lightning McQueen, spinning out in the middle of a race. A slow-motion shot of McQueen busting into a cloud of wreckage, follows, and just before he hits ground, an ominous new tagline appears: “From this moment, everything will change.” One of Disney and Pixar's most commercially successful franchises, Cars is as merchandise-friendly and light-hearted as they come. What it is not, though, is … particularly deep. Whereas some Pixar films are known for emotionally complex and moving storylines, as well as their animation, Cars isn't among them. Perhaps with Disney's first look at Cars 3 – a sequel to Cars (2006) and Cars 2 (2011) – we are seeing hints that this may soon change. The original film featured brash Lightning stuck in the small town of Radiator Springs where he learned humbling lessons in life and love. The first sequel centered more on dim-witted but lovable Mater the Tow Truck being mistaken for an international super spy. Obviously. Owen Wilson will reprise his leading voice role as McQueen in the three-quel, while Larry the Cable Guy is on board as Mater again. Kanye West: Hospitalized for Psychiatric Evaluation!

Kanye West has been hospitalized for a psychiatric evaluation after some erratic behavior left some of his close friends and family fearing for his safety.  Per TMZ, the 39-year-old husband of Kim Kardashian  is in Los Angeles hospital , where he will be checked over by a doctor to make sure he is okay.  Eatlier today, cops apparently responded to a welfare check on Kanye when his behavior became a cause for concern.  Kanye was not at his home when the police called, but we’re hearing that when he was located he was taken to hospital.  He was allegedly being looked over for sleep deprivation, but someone at the hospital suggested he should be admitted.  Kanye did not want to admit there was anything wrong with him and had to be restrained when he refused to go to the hospital.  The rapper has had a troubling few days, with fans questioning whether he was headed for a meltdown.  This was fueled over the weekend when he took aim at Beyonce and Jay Z after showing up 90 minutes late to his own concert in Sacramento.  When he begun shading Beyonce, it was pretty clear he had some beef with her over the VMAs.  “Beyonce, I was hurt ’cause I heard that you said you wouldn’t perform unless you won Video of the Year over me and over ‘Hotline Bling.'”  “Now, don’t go trying to diss Beyonce,” Kanye told his audience. “She is great Taylor Swift is great. We are all great people.” “But sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forgetting who we are just to win.” “F-ck winning,” he said. “F-ck looking cool. F-ck looking cool F-ck being cool. F-ck all that, bruh.” “I been sent here to give y’all my truth, even at the risk of my own life, even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I been sent here to give y’all the truth.” He then turned his attention to Jay Z, basically saying Beyonce’s husband had contract killers on his payroll.  It was pretty bizarre and you can watch the full video below: Kanye West Attacks Beyonce and Jay Z in Another Rant Then came the word that Kanye had canceled the rest of his Saint Pablo tour .  All of this definitely fueled the flame that something was not right with him.  Hopefully, he gets the help he needs.  We extend our thoughts to his family and wish him a speedy recovery.  What do you think about all of this? The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 Recap: Tension at Hilltop

Have you been missing Maggie? If so, then you were in for a treat on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 5 as we got to see just how fractured leadership was at the Hilltop Colony.  If you watch The Walking Dead online , you’ll know that Maggie and Sasha made a break for the colony after Negan murdered both Abraham and Glen on The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 1 .  It’s definitely not scenes you could easily forget, but catching up with the characters was pretty intriguing. Maggie got some much-needed confirmation that her pregnancy was going as planned.  However, she was told to rest up for a few days to get over the emotional trauma she was put threw watching her baby daddy being brutally murdered.  When she and Sasha went to pay their respects to their fallen friends, Gregory showed up and made it clear he wanted Maggie out of the colony because he didn’t want to have any more dealings with the Alexandria crowd.  This was a bit rich when you consider the fact that the Alexandria group only went to war with the saviors to save Gregory’s people. Sasha and Maggie were quick to point this out, but he didn’t give a damn.  He revealed that Maggie could stay the night, but she would be leaving first thing in the morning. So much for the hospitality he gave her when she was wheeling and dealing with him last year.  Gregory was no doubt terrified at the prospect of the Saviors showing up and attacking his people. There’s no telling what Negan would do if he got wind of Gregory’s involvement.  That night, Maggie and Sasha were shocked to the core when the gates to the colony were knocked down and a car was in the courtyard with loud music. This was drawing all of the walkers into the colony and making things very difficult.  Sasha pleaded with Maggie to stay in the trailer while she went off on her own to save them. Pretty much as soon as Sasha made her escape from the trailer, Maggie was out in the open and barking orders at people.  Even though she was ill, she knew what she had to do in order to save everyone. She got in a tractor and ran over the car until the music stopped playing. It really was the best course of action and it proved she’s a natural leader.  The next morning, Jesus, Maggie and Sasha pled their case to Gregory to allow them to stay, but they were stopped in their tracks by the arrival of the Saviors.  Maggie and Sasha were put in hiding to avoid being murdered. Simon and the group of the saviors went into the house and immediately started laying down the law. Gregory was trying every trick in the book in order to get them away.  He offered them everything he could, but he lost all of his alcohol and art. It was a thrilling turn of events, but it was needed to show that absolutely no group is safe from the wrath of the Saviors. After the meeting, Maggie went to Gregory to tell him she would not be leaving and that he was to quit calling her names. He obviously felt defeated after losing most of his inventory and looking pretty stupid.  Maggie was then shocked to the core when Enid showed up. Enid hitched a ride with Carl and the two of them seemed to get a lot closer.  Watch The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 4 Online It would be such a shame if they never got the chance to meet up again. Couples just don’t seem to have a long shelf life on this show. Right now, Carl is on his way to Negan’s base with Jesus, but what is their master plan? Simon was a little too nice to Gregory compared to the way Negan would have acted.  The show seems to be taking some of the characters in interesting directions, but who will die next? Mike Pence on Hamilton: That’s What Freedom Sounds Like!

It doesn’t seem possible, but this weekend, America is loving Hamilton just a little bit more than it already did. And that’s because, on Friday night, Hamilton told Vice President-elect and notoriously terrible human being Mike Pence. They expressed their fears that he wouldn’t protect all the people in this country, but they expressed those concerns with respect and kindness. Donald Trump, Pence’s bestie, was deeply offended, and he called for an apology , but Pence himself? He was pretty cool with it. Mike Pence on Hamilton: I’m Not Offended! Pence went on Fox News Sunday, and towards the end of the interview he was asked about the Hamilton fiasco. He said that he and his family “really enjoyed” the show, and that it was an “incredible production,” and that it was “a real joy to be there.” With tickets sold out for pretty much the rest of eternity, yeah, we imagine it’s be a joy to be there. Then, as hilarious yet embarrassing as it is, Pence said that he did hear some boos as he took his seat, but “I nudged my kids and reminded them that’s what freedom sounds like.” He said that he did hear the speech, and “I wasn’t offended by what was said.” He added that “I’ll leave to others whether that was the appropriate venue to say it.” Pence went on to give a mini-speech, in which he said “I know this is a very disappointing time for people that did not see their candidate win in this national election.” “I just want to assure people that what President-elect Donald Trump said on election night, he absolutely meant from the bottom of his heart.” “He is preparing to be the president of all of the people of the United States of America, and to watch him bringing together people of diverse views, bringing together people that differed with him strongly, seeing him talk to leaders around the world …” “I just want to reassure every American that in the days head, I’m very confident,” he said. “They’re going to see President-elect Donald Trump be a president for all of the people, and we embrace that principle and we’re going to work hard to make that principle every day that we serve.” Nobody wanted to hear all that nonsense, so he was asked if he wanted to hear an apology from the Hamilton cast and crew. “As I said, I would leave that to others whether that was the appropriate venue for that,” he answered. So all this sounds pretty coached, right? Or at least like he coached himself to play it cool. If theatre-goers booing at him was “what freedom sounds like,” then wouldn’t the actual speech also be what freedom sounds like? Hamilton Cast Delivers Speech to Mike Pence Why not just stick with that instead of the whole “I’m not going to say that it hurt my feelings, but if other people think it was really mean of them, then that’s cool” bit? But hey, at least he said that he wasn’t offended, right? And he very willingly admitted that Hamilton is an absolutely amazing show. It’s more than what Donald Trump did. Yesterday, after the news of what happened began circulating, Trump tweeted “Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!” “The Theater must always be a safe and special place,” he wrote. “The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!” He must have really been torn up about it all, because this morning at 6:22 AM, he tweeted “The cast and producers of Hamilton, which I hear is highly overrated, should immediately apologize to Mike Pence for this terrible behavior.” “Highly overrated”? Austin Forsyth: Does Joy-Anna Duggar’s New Man Know About the Josh Sex Scandals?

Earlier this week, we reported that Joy-Anna Duggar is courting Austin Forsyth . If you’re familiar with the Duggar way of doing things, you know that courting is like dating on steroids. The Duggars describe it as a sort of “pre-engagement” in which new couples spend a chaste, chaperoned few weeks together (virtually all physical contact is forbidden) in order to decide if they should take the next step. Most of the time, the arrangement results in a proposal, as in the cases of Jill, Jessa and Jinger Duggar. On rare occasions, however, one or both parties decide to call the whole thing off, as in the case of Josiah Duggar and Marjorie Jackson . Either way, courting never goes on for very long, so Duggar fans take an intense interest when it’s announced (and it’s always announced) that one of the Duggar kids has entered a courtship. Of course, these days there’s a shadow hanging over all new Duggar relationships in the form of the Josh Duggar sex scandals . It’s been rumored that it was the allegations against Josh – and his family’s attempts to hide his crimes – from authorities that led to the dissolution of Marjorie and Josiah’s relationship. Details are scarce, but it’s widely believed that Marjorie’s family only had vague notions about Josiah’s disgraced older brother and insisted that their daughter end her association with the Duggars upon learning that the family sheltered a child molester for several years. One would think the Duggars would have learned their lesson, but insiders claim they’re repeating the same mistakes with the Forsyth family by attempting to keep Austin and his parents in the dark about Josh’s shameful past. While Austin’s immediate family has kept mum, Radar Online recently spoke with several relatives of Austin’s, all of whom claimed to have no knowledge of the Josh scandals. “I don’t know anything about any of that,” said Austin’s grandfather when asked about Josh’s past. “I don’t know anything,” Austin’s great-grandmother echoed. It’s hard to imagine that anyone who takes even a passing interest in the lives of the Duggars could be unaware of Josh’s sexual misconduct, but the family is part of an isolated community that avoids most forms of media. So while it seems unlikely, it is possible that Austin’s family, and perhaps even Austin himself, are unaware of the shocking controversy that led to the cancelation of 19 Kids and Counting – the show that made the Duggars famous. Susan Sarandon vs. Debra Messing: The Feud That Just Won’t Quit

It’s been ten long, scary, disheartening days since Election Day, and we’d like to say that the news that Donald Trump would be our next president has gotten easier … Nope. Still sucks. One of the worst things about the Trump presidency — and to be clear, all the things about it are the worst things — is how hard it’s divided the country. And we’re not just talking about how it’s separated racist, misogynistic bigots from people with actual sense. As sad as it is, even people who stood against Trump are now turning against each other in these troubling times. In this case, we’re talking about people like Susan Sarandon and Debra Messing. To give a little background. Debra has always been a loud and proud supporter of Hillary Clinton, while Susan was all about Bernie Sanders. When Hillary won the primary , well, that did just not sit well with Susan, and though Bernie urged his followers to stand with Hillary, Susan was just like “nah.” In an interview in March, Susan even suggested that Trump would be a better president than Hillary. “Well, you know, some people feel Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately,” she said in real life. “If he gets in, then things will really explode.” Susan was right on that one: things sure are exploding . It doesn’t seem to be the charming revolution she had in mind though. After Susan gave that quote, Debra tweeted that “the idea that Susan Sarandon wud say that NOT supporting HRC in a HRC/Trump race is a legitimate choice for Democrats, is insane.” Susan maintained that, for Bernie supporters, a Clinton vs. Trump election would be “a dilemma,” and then on November 1st, she publicly endorsed Jill Stein. This woman actually said “Now that Trump is self-destructing, I feel even those in swing states have the opportunity to vote their conscience.” Where’s a good “bitch, please” gif when you need one? So obviously things didn’t work out at all like Susan expected, and now she’s trying to hold on to the last little bit of hope that everything won’t go to hell in the next four years. She responded to a tweet urging people to never forget how awful Trump is with “True but reach out in dialogue to those who voted for him.” “We can’t afford a blanket judgement of them. We need allies in that camp. Possible.” And that was a statement Debra did not feel good about. “JESUS CHRIST,” she wrote in response. “NOW she wants to give racist, islamophobic, homophobic, sexist, mysogynists a chance! ‘Pure’ 4 Bernie. F-CK everyone else.” Susan hit back with “No, never excuse hatred, but how do you move forward in a climate of hate when you only expect the worst of an entire group of people?” Then Debra wrote of Susan “She encouraged ppl to vote for Trump over HRC on a news interview. Said she was more ‘dangerous.’ She needs to be held accountable.” When someone suggested Debra was threatening Susan (LOL can you imagine?), Debra clarified “Dangerous!? Hell no!” “I wud like her to say that she regrets not simply saying that she’s voting 3rd party vs. saying a revol with DJT cud be *thumbs up emoji*.” Instead of admitting that though, Susan chose to ask Debra to tweet something about the Dakota Access pipeline protests, and Debra agreed, so all’s well that ends well? Blac Chyna Reveals Weight Loss One Week After Giving Birth: WOW!

Yesterday, Thursday, November the 17th, was a very, very special day. It was the one week anniversary of Dream Renee Kardashian’s grand entrance into this world . We sincerely hoped you planned accordingly and sent cards and gifts and well wishes to little Dream and her parents, Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian, and if you didn’t, well, then go ahead and feel terrible about yourself. But before you send that belated fruit basket, why don’t you settle in for a minute and learn about another important thing that happened yesterday. Yesterday, Blac Chyna revealed how much weight she’s lost in the seven days since she’d given birth. Hint: it’s a lot. Chyna did the big reveal on Snapchat, because of course she did. Go ahead and check out her post: “From 192lbs to 177lbs (7 days postpartum),” she wrote. “Goal 130lbs my starting weight b4 Dream.” “I can’t believe how flat my stomach is already!!!!” she added. “Getting dressed tomorrow for the first time can’t wait.” Fifteen pounds in seven days … not too shabby, right? Dream weighed seven pounds and five ounces when she was born, and then throw in the weight from the placenta and all that fun general bloating that pregnancy brings, and we’d say that Chyna’s off to a great start towards her goal. It makes sense that she’d be taking her weight loss seriously — she’s been saying for months that we’re all going to be completely amazed and how fast she planned on getting back in shape after giving birth. In June, she announced “My goal is to gain, like, 100 pounds this pregnancy . Imma tear it up, then Imma snap back.” She didn’t quite hit her goal of 100 pounds — she gained just around 57 — but still, she’s excited to get back to her pre-Dream body . Last month, he shared a couple of old photos of himself and Chyna, and captioned them “Oh yeah we snapping back lol.” “Baby will be here in 4 weeks,” he wrote, “and I’m done with carrying this pregnancy weight. Me and my baby gonna be righttttt…” “MOTIVATION TIME!! We almost there Chy.” Yes, Rob did actually think up the words “I’m done with carrying this pregnancy weight,” thought they were good, and posted them on the internet, but let’s not dwell on that absurdity. Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer Get Racy AF on Instagram!

Marriage has really changed Chelsea Houska. Or at least that’s what it seems like, anyway. For a while now, Chelsea has been a real class act, avoiding arrests and sex tapes and pointless nude photo shoots — something we can’t say for her fellow Teen Mom costars . But now, after one month of marriage (and at 27 weeks pregnant, no less), Chelsea’s ready to switch things up. Is that a photo of Chelsea’s new husband, Cole DeBoer, getting up close and personal with her breasts?! Yes, yes it is. And we are positively scandalized . Don’t worry though, because as unexpectedly racy as the photo may be — he’s got his lips puckered and he’s zeroing in on her boobs, y’all, that’s PG-13 as hell — we’ve got some sweet updates, too. One of them being a new photo of Chelsea’s baby bump! “27 weeks!” she captioned the photo, shared just a few days ago. “I cannot wait to meet this sweet little boy !” She also shared a photo of Cole when he was a kid alongside an ultrasound photo of their little bundle. “You guys,” she adorably explained, “I’ve totally become that crazy mom that is literally comparing ultrasound pictures with baby pictures of Cole.” “I can’t help it! I stare at these photos ALL the time, I’m so excited.” And nobody blames you, girl. You’re pretty much living the dream. Over on Twitter though, that’s where the true cuteness lies. Check out this painfully cute message Chelsea tweeted earlier this week: I just have to be sappy for a moment…. I truly feel like the luckiest woman in the world. I have such an incredible husband. I am seriously SO proud to call myself his wife and to have his children. I cannot wait to raise a son to be just like him. And Aubree to be just as sweet. My heart is so full. Aww, Chelsea, stop it.
