Last week, Kim Richards ditched rehab to attend her daughters wedding in Mexico, and the trip went about as poorly as could be expected. First, Kim got drunk and acted so belligerently that her daughter won’t talk to her and her sober coach quit on the spot. After that, Richards disappeared , leaving her loved ones wondering if she’d managed to make it back to the US. Now, Radar Online Kim has made it home to LA , but has decided to forgo treatment for her well-documented alcoholism. “Kim came back from Cabo last week but is refusing to go back to rehab,” said one insider. “She suffered a huge relapse at the wedding, and was mixing booze and pills. However, Kim is refusing to go back to rehab.” The source says Kim’s sisters have done everything in their power to convince her to return to treatment, but the 50-year-old Housewife remains firmly in denial. “Both siblings are obviously very concerned about her,” says the source “There is only so much the family can do for Kim, and refusing to get help is a big obstacle.” Obviously, the Richards family’s main concern is for Kim’s health, but there are other reasons for her to return to rehab, as well. Sources familiar with her court case say that Kim lucked out after her April 15 arrest and struck a deal that would allow her to avoid jail time in exchange for completing an addiction treatment program. If you feel like the drama involving Lisa Rinna and the Richards sisters has been going on forever, you’re not alone. Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers are very much back together, but his health prospects are much more up in the air than their romantic status. The Real Housewives of Orange County stars have been living together as Brooks battles cancer , but he tells Radar that the arduous battle continues. According to Brooks, chemotherapy treatments to treat his “aggressive” cancer (Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins lymphoma) don’t seem to be having any effect. “I am sick,” Ayers, who has battled the illness since 2013, admitted. “I do feel bad, but it’s mind over matter a lot of times. You gotta stay the course.” Six months of chemotherapy and a largely liquid-based diet later, Gunvalson’s live-in boyfriend says he was hoping things would have improved by now. “When the test results came back, the numbers haven’t changed substantially,” he revealed. “They haven’t gotten worse, but they haven’t gotten better.” “That was kind of disheartening, to be honest with you.” “ I’m not so sure my body is responding to chemotherapy ,” he admitted. “At least the cocktail that I was doing. I’m not sure it responded like it needed to.” Ayers says he’s faced with three options, starting with an “aggressive form of chemotherapy” that would mean 3-4 days a week of treatment for months. It’s that, an experimental stem cell transplant, or a holistic approach, which one of their Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars is helping him with. “Shannon Beador’s been very much in our corner, putting us in contact with a lot of unbelievable world-renowned holistic physicians,” he said. “We’re exploring that and with that would come no chemo. It would be addressing and taking what I’ve been doing with the holistic diet and an infrared sauna.” “It’s just assessing what my mentality, my body responds to and it’s been quite a daunting mental task,” the reality star admits, but he still has Vicki. That, more than anything, gets him through the day these days. “She keeps me up and going and it’s been good rather than just routine, monotonous life. That’s not what we’re about. In less than two weeks, Teresa Giudice will turn herself over to authorities and begin serving 15 months in prison on fraud charges. Sources say Teresa’s been doing everything in her power to give her daughters an enjoyable final Christmas with their parents ( Joe Giudice begins his 41-month sentence after Teresa gets released), but not surprisingly, she’s found that to be easier said than done. In addition to the stress brought about by a looming prison sentence, Teresa has reportedly grown increasingly frustrated with her turbulent marriage. There have been rumors that Joe plans to divorce Teresa while she’s locked up, and given his behavior over the years, we wouldn’t put it past him. Neither would Teresa, it seems, as the Housewife has reportedly grown desperate in her search for a temporary guardian to care for her four daughters while she’s behind bars. “She knows Joe doesn’t want to take care of them, and she doesn’t think he’s capable,” a source tells Life & Style. “Teresa has become so desperate she’s now considering giving her kids to friends.” The insider says Teresa has struck out in her search for a family member to take her three youngest daughters. Her oldest, Gia, is reportedly planning to live with one of bandmates from the girl group 3KT. “[Gia] knows her family needs her, but she also realizes she need a mother figure while her mom is locked away,” says the source. Even though Teresa Giudice is headed to prison soon, that doesn’t mean the troubled Housewife has any plans to let up in her relentless hustling. Along with her husband Joe, Teresa sat down for an interview with Bravo recently to speak publicly about her crimes and punishment for the first time since her sentencing. Teresa Giudice Reacts to Prison Sentence The interview will air in its entirety tonight, but regardless of whether or not it turns out to be the ratings bonanza that Bravo is banking on, it’s already proven to be a hugely lucrative 30 minutes for the Giudices. The couple was reportedly paid $325,000 for offering Bravo honcho Andy Cohen first crack at an interview. The network initially offered $275,000 for Teresa alone, but threw in an extra 50 grand in order for Joe to join her. Of course, the Giudices have been ordered to pay $414,000 in restitution, which means that all of the money they make from the interview will go to directly the victims of their various financial scams. It’s still a pretty sweet deal for Joe and Teresa, as they’re now well on their to settling their debt just days after being sentenced. Teresa has been ordered to report to prison on January 5 in order to begin serving her 15-month sentence. Joe Giudice has been sentenced to 41 months , and will begin his serving his time after his wife is released. The Giudices sentencing has been delayed several times since they both pled guilty to fraud back in March. But today the troubled couple finally had its day in court today, and as expected, both Joe and Teresa pulled out all the stops in hopes of avoiding prison. Joe and Teresa Giudice: Sentenced! Joe and his lawyer went with an age-old excuse for his bad behavior, claiming that Giudice suffers from a severe drinking problem. “Joe does have a serious problem with alcohol,” attorney Miles Feinstein told the court. “And being on the show didn’t help. It’s there. I’ve noticed it. When he comes into my office he smells like alcohol.” Feinstein requested that Giudice be sent to rehab in lieu of prison. Unfortunately for Joe the judge and prosecutor weren’t having it. Judge Esther Salas stated that Joe will indeed have access to addiction treatment – while he’s doing his time behind bars. Joe, of course, wasn’t the only one engaging in 11th-hour shenanigans and generally making a mockery of the justice system. Sources say Teresa Giudice seemed oblivious to the seriousness of her situation this morning. The Real Housewife was reportedly laughing and speaking optimistically about her future as a team of beauticians prepped her for court. “Teresa has a hair stylist and makeup artist come to her house Thursday morning,” says one insider. “Not even the threat of going to prison was going to stop her from looking good.” When the beauty treatment took longer than expected and threatened to make the Giudices late for court, Teresa’s response was classic Teresa: “Teresa retorted the judge couldn’t start without her, and said she didn’t want to take a bad mug shot picture if it ended up being required.” And Teresa wonders why she hasn’t received much sympathy from the court thus far. News of her sentence has yet to be released, but we’re guessing her hair extensions and fake eyelashes didn’t help her case.
