Things got so rough with whatever she was dealing with that the 40-year-old decided to go to urgent care to obtain treatment. Soon after, she also sought out some relief by drinking twin sister Tia’s breast milk, hoping the added nutrients in her milk would aid in healing. Email Submit As it turns out though, Housley was dealing with a multitude of icky things that perhaps, breast milk couldn’t really help fully fix. According to her co-host, Loni Love , who shared some insight during an episode this week, it’s been a rough bout of sickness, but she’s getting better. “I went to go visit [Tamera] yesterday and she wants to let you know, she’s going through it y’all, but she is OK!” Love said, according to OK! Magazine. “We took her to the ER, she’s doing fine.” “First she got bronchitis,” Love continued. “Then it turned into the flu, which ended up turning into viral pneumonia.” SEE ALSO: Tia & Tamera Mowry Take To Social Media To Mourn The Passing Of Their Grandmother Her co-host said that Housley filmed while she dealt with the bronchitis, and not taking time off definitely could have made things worse. Medical experts note that influenza viruses can indeed cause viral pneumonia. “She just needs to be at home,” Love added. “She [doesn’t] need to be here with me, I got this!” Symptoms of this infection include a fever, a mucus-riddled cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, chills, muscle aches and more. People who believe they’ve developed viral pneumonia are encouraged to go to the ER if they find they have chest pains, a fever over 102, and difficulty breathing. With all that being said, viral pneumonia does tend to go away on its own, not to be mistaken with other sometimes fatal forms of the infection. Mowry seems to feeling better, too. It’s helped that she’s had the chance to rest, received visits from the ladies of The Real, and also that Tia sent her some adorable pink balloons, which the star shared on her Instagram story. Pneumonia can have someone down for about one to two weeks, so Housley should be back in action soon enough. Until then, nothing but sleep and a lot of fluids for the star. (Photo by Derek Davis/Staff photographer) Dirty Raw Oysters Kill Texas Woman Some cautionary health related news is coming out of the south and seafood lovers might want to take heed. A woman from Texas named Jeannette LeBlanc ate raw oysters while on a trip to Louisiana with friends and family in September, reports news station KLFY-TV and the dinner ultimately cost her life. LeBlanc reportedly developed a rash and had trouble breathing for over 36 hours after consuming the Oysters. After spending 21 days in the hospital fighting the infection, caused by vibriosis,she died on Oct. 21. Now her wife, Vicki Bergquist, is raising awareness about the cause of her death. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states most people who become infected with vibriosis do so by eating raw or undercooked shellfish, particularly oysters. It is also possible to contract vibriosis by exposing an open wound to brackish or salt water.
Mario Tama/Getty Images Jerry Brown Signs New HIV Legislation Starting January 1, 2018, it will no longer be a major crime in California to knowingly expose a sexual partner to HIV without disclosing the infection. Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation on Friday that lowers the offense from a felony to a misdemeanor. The California legislature passed SB 239 on September 11. The law previously punished people who knowingly exposed or infected others with HIV by up to eight years in prison, but this new legislation will lower jail time to a maximum of six months. The new law also reduces the penalty for knowingly donating HIV-infected blood from a felony to a misdemeanor. Bill sponsors Sen. Scott Wiener and Assemblyman Todd Gloria, both Democrats, argued California law was outdated and stigmatized people living with HIV, especially given recent advancements in medicine. Evidence has shown that a person with HIV who undergoes regular treatment has a negligible chance of spreading the infection to others through sexual contact. “The most effective way to reduce HIV infections is to destigmatize HIV,” Wiener told CNN. “To make people comfortable talking about their infection, get tested, get into treatment.” Because the previous law. Wiener said by destigmatizing HIV, the bill would encourage people to get tested, which will in turn lower HIV transmission in the state.
Dear Bossip, So, here’s the deal: I met this guy 2 weeks ago at a football party. He has text me non-stop, even text good morning and good night every day. Not to mention he text as soon as we get off work. I’m pretty sure he’s a player, but because I see the best in people I am not so good at being a judge of character. Ok, so he asked to come over one night but then when I told him he couldn’t spend the night he changed his mind. Then he proceeded to say maybe we can do dinner and a movie one night this week. I said ok. That night came. I asked him what we were going to do and he said a lot of cuddling and kissing. I reminded him that he mentioned dinner and movie. Then he said he would cook for me. After I let him know that he had to bring whatever he was cooking he decided he wasn’t about all that. So, he came over and we just hung out in my living room talking and watching TV. Then he invites me to his softball game, so I go. Then the following Friday night I finally let him sleep over. We had sex, which wasn’t that great actually. Then he came over the next night to a party I was hosting. He spent the night again but we didn’t have sex. The next day (Sunday) he decided that he didn’t know what he wanted anymore. He went from wanting to date and possibly a relationship to not knowing. However, he says he doesn’t want to end things completely. I mean seriously? Thank you for your time. And, another thing, when did dating become going to someone’s house, chilling, and the both of you know that you are horny asses, but you convince yourself that you have all this restraint and nothing is going to go down, but then guess what happens, you start kissing, fondling, and then panties come off and his drawers are off, and you write me saying, “It just happened.” SMDH! Dating is going out and observing someone’s behavior in public and interacting with other people. It’s about going to various places that you two have in common, or exploring new adventures together. It’s not going to someone’s house and sitting in the living room watching TV. Especially not on the first date. Ugh! I can’t with you people. But, you obviously found something you liked about him because your dumb ass kept entertaining him and his conversation. So, ask yourself why after several conversations and him being clear about what he wanted that you let him come over, have sex with him, and then get upset when he says he doesn’t know what he wants anymore, but that he doesn’t want things to end between the two of you? You left the door wide open (meaning your legs) with an invitation to your bedroom and bed, and now you want to clutch your cheap ass pearls and act like Ms. I Got Some Values And Morals And Self-Respect About Myself. LMBAO! I can’t do you today. So, to answer your question of what to do now? Uhm, hmmm, do you want to be his booty call? Do you want to be his jump-off? Do you, and can you, handle a casual sexual relationship with him? You did state that his sex game was not all that, but I’m certain you can teach him and train him on how to handle you and your cooty-cat. LOL! That man is not interested in anything more with you other than sex. He’s made that painfully and abundantly clear from the beginning. But, you, and like so many others don’t listen to when someone is telling you who they are and what they want. You figure if you can get them to see how holy and virtuous you are that they will succumb to your light and change their evil and trifling ways. Chile, miss me already. He wants sex. You don’t. He wants to be friends with benefits. You don’t. What he’s communicating and expressing is not in alignment and part of your desires. Therefore cut your losses, move on, and make a note that this was a lesson learned. Know from this point moving forward that you need to listen and hear when a man is telling you what he wants. If he keeps stressing sex, sexual encounters, sexual contact, intimacy, cuddling, hugging, lounging, caressing, massages, or anything that requires body contact, then he is not interested in being in a relationship. British Woman Dies From Infection Following Butt Lift This is so sad. A British woman has died after being infected by a rare flesh eating bacteria following her fat transfer. According to Daily News reports via Mirror UK : Jane Kiiza caught the rare bacterial infection after the procedure to remove fat from various parts of her body and inject it into her buttocks. The 47-year-old is the first British casualty to die from the procedure, an inquest heard Kiiza visited top surgeon Dr. Shailesh Vadodaria for the ‘Brazilian butt lift’ surgery in June this year at an exclusive clinic in London’s Harley Stree During surgery, Dr Vadodaria removed fat from her back, legs and stomach and injected it into her buttocks, reported Mirror Online. But two days later, Kiiza contacted him in a panic suffering from intense pain as the bacteria tore through her body. She was rushed to her local hospital where she was given antibiotics, but then went into septic shock. Surgeons cut out the infection, but before they could operate again, she went into cardiac arrest and died. Analysis of swabs revealed the infection had been caused by the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which does not normally cause an infection. The extremely rare flesh-eating infection was only found in Kiiza’s buttocks. Apparently this is very rare, and only five other cases of it have ever been reported following liposuction and one case after fat transfer. Crazy right? Facebook/YouTube

Randy Travis is currently resting in a Texas hospital and is listed in critical condition after his admission Sunday due to a heart condition known as viral cardiomyopathy. The ailment weakens and enlarges the heart, making it unable to work as well as it should. It’s unclear what caused the infection and the singer’s rep has not provided any further details at this time, though it’s unlikely Travis will perform as scheduled in South Dakota on Wednesday. Travis had lately been in the news for a handful of legal incidents. His smashed pickup was discovered on the side of a road last August; he was involved in a drunken parking lot brawl the week prior to that accident; and he was arrested for DUI two weeks before prior to that dust-up. We wish him a full recovery.

The woman in Georgia who has been battling a flesh eating bacteria deserves kudos for her bravery after learning she’ll have to have her hands and remaining foot amputated. According to RadarOnline reports : The Georgia girl whose body is being ravaged by a flesh-eating bacteria bravely gave the OK when her parents broke the news to her that she would have to lose her hands and right foot. Aimee Copeland, 24, of Snellville, Georgia, is now awake and alert but remains in critical condition battling the hideous infection, after falling from a home-made zip line into infected water near the Little Tallapoosa River on May 1. She suffered a deep gash in her calf and despite it being cleaned and closed with 22 staples, a bacteria burrowed deep into the wound and caused necrotizing fasciitis, forcing surgeons to amputate her left leg. Copeland’s parents told her Thursday that the doctors want to remove her hands and remaining foot, reported the Atlanta Journal Constitution and the brave student replied that she was a “little confused but would figure it out.” “She smiled and raised her hands up, carefully examining them,” father Andy Copeland wrote on his Facebook page on Friday. “She then looked at us. We all understood her next three words… ‘Let’s do this.’” Aimee’s dad explained how they had come to expect the inevitable after watching the startling transformation in her hands over the past few days. “They went from a splotchy purple color to a red tone and then to a pinkish flesh tone… back to an angry red,” he wrote. “The doctor explained that her body was trying hard to heal her hands, but the blood flow was too poor.” Andy said he was blown away by the strength of his daughter when he explained to her, “Aimee, these hands are not healthy, they are hampering your progress. “I have never seen such a strong display of courage,” he revealed. “Aimee shed no tears, she never batted an eyelash. I was crying because I am a proud father of an incredibly courageous young lady.” The bacteria that triggered the infection destroying the University of West Georgia Psychology student’s body, Aeromonas hydrophila, thrives in warm climates and fresh water. While common, the germ rarely causes flesh-eating disease. But when it does, the infection carries a fatality rate upward of 60 percent, according to a 2010 report published in the Journal Clinical Microbiology Reviews.
On last night’s episode of “The T.O Show”, T.O continues to expand his business ventures since his knee and football career seems unpromising. He introduces us to his barbershop, “T.O Cutz”, with co-owner Peter. Kita and Mo attempt to persuade T.O to expand his barbershop and make it into a beauty salon/barber shop but the men hate that idea and express that they want to keep the barbershop as manly as possible, making it into a “getaway” for men to come and watch sports, drink beer and get their hair cut. Kita takes T.O to her beauty salon to show him how much weaves are selling for nowadays, hoping that it will open T.O’s eyes to the wonderful world of weaves. T.O seems a little more frightened than interested and states, “A rack of weave coming at me is not a pretty sight”. Mo, taking notes from T.O on expanding his business, decided to try her hand at a new craft as well. She applied for a position as a radio dj and did great on her audition after fumbling a little and receiving a surprise visit from T.O (no surprise there).
