Random Ridiculousness: Woman Who Gave Illegal Immigrants Fake IDs Ordered By Judge To Spend Every Christmas In Jail For The Next 5 Years

Bet her azz won’t phuck up again. Woman Ordered To Spend Christmas In Jail For The Next Five Years According to Mail Online An Ohio woman who ran a black market business providing illegal immigrants with IDs was sentenced to five years of parole yesterday – with the added condition that she spend at least three days in jail every Christmas. The sentence was handed down to 44-year-old Betina Young by Judge Michael Holbrook who has been giving out these unique holiday sentences – called ‘Holbrook holidays’ – since he was elected to his position in 2004. Judge Holbrook’s bailiff David Petikas told MailOnline that ‘Holbrook holidays’ give parolees an idea of what real prison time would be like, and who really suffers if they continue their life of crime. ‘It’s a reminder of who they are letting down and the toll it may take on your family during the holidays,’ Petikas said. However, Petikas also said that parolees are offered the opportunity to work hard to complete the conditions of their parole and can be off probation in as little as a year and a half. Young pled guilty in May on five counts of tampering with records. In addition to probation and Holbrook Holidays, Young will have to pay a $3,000 fine. If she skips out on any of her holidays in jail, she will have to spend 15 years in prison. 15 years in prison if she misses a holiday? That does sound a little harsh and this holiday punishment sounds like some corrupt isht. Either send someone to prison or let them free. This judge probably got his law degree in Florida.

Dr. Conrad Murray Denied Bail, No One Shocked

Dr. Conrad Murray was just shot down in his request to be freed on bail while he appeals his involuntary manslaughter conviction in the 2009 death of Michael Jackson. Number of disappointed people not named Murray or Nicole Alvarez : Zero. During today’s hearing, Judge Michael Pastor said Murray is still a flight risk as he does not have significant property or family ties in Los Angeles. Judge Pastor also believes Murray is a danger to society, citing the MSNBC documentary in which Murray fails to show any remorse for MJ’s death. Pastor said “it scares me” that Murray believes it’s okay to use Propofol in a home setting and insists he could pose a danger to the safety of other people. Murray had previously asked for bail so he could spend time with his family (girlfriend Alvarez and their son) while he awaits the outcome of his appeal. He is hoping to overturn his manslaughter conviction on grounds he never had a chance to prove MJ killed himself due to stress … among other reasons. Murray’s appellate attorney Valerie Wass says she believes Murray is a “scapegoat” blamed for Michael’s death because there’s no one else to target. A judge, jury and the general public almost unanimously disagree. Jackson was not without fault, but Murray also wasn’t convicted of murdering him. His actions as a doctor fit the crime of involuntary manslaughter to a T.

Michael Jackson Doctor’s Trial: No Verdict Yet

Jury is dismissed after first day of deliberations in Conrad Murray trial, which continues Monday morning. By Kara Warner Dr. Conrad Murray Photo: Pool/ Getty Images After nearly six hours of deliberation, the jury in the involuntary manslaughter trial against former Michael Jackson doctor Conrad Murray was unable to reach a verdict Friday (November 4). Judge Michael Pastor dismissed the five-man, seven-woman jury in the late afternoon, with deliberations scheduled to resume Monday at 11:30 a.m. ET. The only news to come out of Friday’s deliberation was that at one point, the jury requested to see evidence, which was brought to them in a box just before their lunch break. With regard to where the case stands now, and whether the prosecution fared better than the defense , it’s anyone’s guess as to whether the verdict will be guilty or not guilty. The jury must now sift through 22 days of testimony from 49 witnesses, including some of Jackson’s former employees, a number of Murray’s girlfriends and patients, medical experts, police investigators and ER workers, to come up with their ruling. In closing arguments Thursday, prosecutor David Walgren told the jury the evidence the state presented was “overwhelming” and showed that it was “abundantly clear” that Murray caused Jackson’s death by acting in a negligent manner in providing the singer with the surgical anesthetic propofol in a non-hospital setting. Defense attorney Ed Chernoff countered with arguments that investigators were sloppy in collecting evidence and that it was Jackson, not Murray who was to blame because, according to the defense, the 50-year-old singer self-administered the fatal propofol dose that took his life on June 25, 2009. Murray, who was being paid $150,000 a month to care for Jackson, had pleaded not guilty to the felony charge of involuntary manslaughter and is now facing four years in prison. But new sentencing laws in California aimed at mandatorily reducing state prison overcrowding mean that, as a nonviolent offender with no prior record, he could be sentenced to county jail instead. If that is the case, his sentence could be reduced to two years and, because of overcrowding in the Los Angeles County jail, he may be allowed to serve the majority of his time under supervised house arrest. Michael Jackson Wasn’t Killed By Doctor’s Propofol Dose, Expert Says

‘I don’t believe it was a contributing factor,’ Dr. Paul White testifies. By Gil Kaufman Dr. Conrad Murray Photo: Pool/ Getty Images Testimony from the final defense witness resumed Monday (October 31) in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Michael Jackson ‘s former doctor, Conrad Murray. Once again, jurors heard from Dr. Paul White , an expert on the surgical anesthetic propofol, who tried to convince the court last week that Jackson had injected himself with a fatal dose of the drug while Murray was absent. As he did Friday, White also offered that Murray’s conduct was unusual and broke protocol but didn’t rise to the level of involuntary manslaughter. The Witness

Elisabetta Canalis on George Clooney Split: A Personal Failure

Elisabetta Canalis has moved on from George Clooney to Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Sort of. The Italian model, who split from the Oscar-winning hunk in June , is a contestant on this season of Dancing with the Stars and is paired up with one of the show’s new professionals. But before she Waltzes into America’s living room, Canalis is opening up about Clooney. “At the end of the day I have always seen the end of my relationships as a personal failure,” Canalis tells Italian magazine Chi . “There is nothing ever pretty is saying goodbye.” Canalis adds that she’s typically a “tomboy,” but admits to being a “doormat when it comes to love,” adding: “I’m looking for men who can give me security.” But she rarely finds it. In what can only be interpreted as a diss to the actor, Elisabetta says she has “always seen cold and controlled men as the right ones for me. You have to accept that Prince Charming who is coming to save you is not going to happen – it works against you.” The beauty, who fully supports Chaz Bono , concludes that she remains hopeful. “In the past I would self destruct when it came to love – I was immature, throwing myself into things but now times have changed, I want a relationship where you understand the other person.” [Photo: WENN.com]

T.I.: Still Imprisoned Because of Reality Show

Woe is T.I. Justifiably or not, the reality show the rapper was filming totally got him hauled back to prison. Officials believed he had people from the show on the bus that took him to his halfway house – a big no-no, according to official documents. If you’re not familiar with the story, here’s what went down: T.I. was released from prison August 31, under specific instructions to be transported to a halfway house to serve the remaining 30 days of his sentence. The rapper was/is serving 11 months for violating probation in his federal weapons case, after he was pulled over and police found drugs on him last fall. It was stipulated that he could ONLY travel with his wife Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, and was not allowed to conduct business en route to the halfway house. But prison officials say T.I. also had his manager, along with two VH1 producers on board, chatting about his reality show as well as a book. Not kosher. The VH1 producers and T.I.’s manager have submitted letters claiming they were not conducting business on the road, but prison officials didn’t buy it. Officials were also livid about the rapper’s mode of transportation – a pimp ass tour bus ride – and claim that he did not disclose this prior to departing. However, new photos show him accompanied by a prison guard as he made his way to the bus that carried him and his entourage to the halfway house. T.I.’s legal team believes prison officials targeted T.I. when they picked him up at the halfway house and hauled him back to prison on baseless grounds. His attorneys believe prison officials have trumped up other reasons to justify sending T.I. back, such as who was on board and the reality show plans. Team T.I. claims he had a two-minute, casual conversation with the prison staff months before his release, and that’s when he said Tiny would be there. He never even considered who else might be there at the time, so his lawyers feel it’s absurd to hold him accountable for that now. Stay tuned …

Dr. Conrad Murray Jury Selection Underway; Everyone Aware of Michael Jackson Case

Jury selection officially got underway today in Los Angeles for the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson’s personal physician. Not one person out of 160 was unfamiliar with the case. “We didn’t expect that you’ve been living under a rock for the last few years, or you’d made a pit stop here from Mars,” Judge Michael Pastor quipped. Pastor cautioned all the potential panelists that they were going to have to take care to avoid any outside information about the trial – especially online. So no reading entertainment news sites? We feel so hurt. They are also not allowed to post any messages on social media, send or read Tweets or Google the case. If they do, they could face jail time or fines. Pastor told prospective jurors that he has/had the option to have the panel sequestered throughout, but is “reiterating [his] faith” in the jurors by not doing so. Instead, the jury will be bused to the court from a secret location each morning, and escorted away every night. They won’t leave in between. Outside court, a lone supporter for Murray carried a sign reading: “I support Dr. Conrad Murray, an innocent man who must be exonerated.” Willie L. Hampton said he was a friend of Murray’s of three decades, said he shook hands with many Jackson fans and agreed to keep peace. Murray faces up to four years in prison for allegedly causing the death of his famous patient by overdose on the surgical anesthetic Propofol. His defense was dealt a blow when Pastor ruled MJ’s private life – including testimony from some doctors who treated him – was out of bounds . The main trial is expected to begin later this month with opening statements. It is speculated that Dr. Murray will testify in his own defense. [Photo: WENN.com]

Lindsay Lohan Sues Pitbull Over Disparaging Lyrics

Lindsay Lohan is suing rapper Pitbull over disparaging lyrics in one of his songs. He does zing her pretty good, but a lawsuit? Get outta town. The hit song, “Give Me Everything,” contains this line: Hustlers move aside, so I’m tiptoein’, to keep flowin’, I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan . Oooh, that one hurt! Pitbull – Give Me Everything ft. Ne-Yo, Afrojack, Nayer LiLo claims in her lawsuit that “the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants regarding the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.” Yes, a PITBULL SONG is likely to to her irreparable harm. Lindsay, who LOL-tastically claims she is “a professional actor of good repute and standing in the Screen Actors Guild,” is suing under New York civil rights laws safeguarding one’s name from being exploited for commercial purposes. Lindsay Lohan alleges the song causes her “to be associated in connection with defendants” and seeks to halt broadcasting of the song. Good luck.

Dr. Conrad Murray Seeking Jury Sequestration, Protection From "Character Assassination"

Dr. Conrad Murray’s legal team believes sequestering the jury is the only way to ensure his fair trial in the Michael Jackson manslaughter case. Charged with involuntarily causing the King of Pop’s death, Murray wants the court protect him and the system from “character assassinations.” The name Nancy Grace has come up more than once from Murray’s lawyers, citing the case of Casey Anthony , who ended up walking in July. Dr. Conrad Murray ‘s lawyers say the only reason the Anthony jurors were unswayed by the media skewering of Anthony was because they were sequestered. According to documents, Grace and others engaged in “nonstop on-air abuse of not only the defendant, but the jurors and defense attorneys involved.” The legal docs claim , “There is reasonable expectation that Dr. Murray’s trial will be the most publicized in history,” and that of the several hundred jurors polled during jury selection, only one claimed not to have heard of the case. Judge Michael Pastor said last month he would consider sequestering the jury, although he felt it was unnecessary and expensive. Stay tuned … [Photo: WENN.com]
