Source: photo: WENN It seems the day to day grind of hosting a talk show is taking a toll on Wendy Williams . She has announced she will be taking time off get her body right. As reported by  Vibe  America’s favorite gossiper will have to put things on pause until she feels well. Last week Wendy Williams announced on her show that she injured her shoulder thus staying in her seat for the majority of her show. She went on to further detail her struggles via her official Instagram account. “I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgment of the many people around me who genuinely care for my well-being. I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200%” she explained. She went on to also remind her fans about her longstanding medical condition. “Not to mention everyone is aware at this point about my thyroid condition (don’t cry for me Argentina). “For all my fellow thyroid sufferers, you know what the deal is,” she continued. “…Needless to say… I have no regrets and I appreciate everyone’s genuine concern for my wellness and care. I promise you a better Wendy in 2019.” This isn’t the first time the former radio host has experience health concerns during her tenure as a television personality. Lil Wayne Now Owns Young Money Entirely, Talks ‘Tha Carter V’ & More

Source: Jessica Alexander/Future Image/WENN.com / WENN Lil Wayne has a recording artist since he was a boy and now approaching the age 36, he has done just about everything there is to do within the recording industry. Now back in full control of his Young Money music imprint, the Lousiana artist revealed the long path to releasing his long-awaited Tha Carter V album and much more. In a sit down with Billboard , the artist born Dwayne Michael Carter shared some insight about his creative process and isn’t putting too much pressure on himself as it relates to Tha Carter V . As it stands, Weezy F. Baby has finally settled into his status in the game but also approaches his craft with a measured sense of carefulness. A lot is riding on his upcoming album, which is anticipated to drop this year. In the chat, Wayne dropped several thoughts, such as being inspired by his four children as he and his former business partner and father figure Bryan “Birdman” Williams engaged in a years-long legal battle while trying to patch up their longstanding connection damaged by their fallout. While he said that he and Birdman do speak, mostly about sports, he’s keeping his distance as he focuses on tightening up his album. From Billboard : Wayne and Birdman are back to talking every day, usually about the Red Sox. But Wayne is less trusting and focused on his album. “Not even just with him, but my relationships with a lot of people have become different, just because of how different I work now,” he says. “I’m submerged in everything about myself, trying to be better at who I am. It’s something where you have to cut some things off.” Four months ago, Wayne moved into this new space, with the skate park and ESPN playing on mute around the clock in the recording studio. Soon after, he injured his heel, which kept him off his board for a month and forced him into the studio full time. It was, he says, “God telling me, ‘You have to go to work, bro.’” After experiencing a series of widely reported seizures between 2013 and 2017, Wayne has cut his marathon recording sessions from what he says were 26-hour runs down to “12 or 14” hours. “That’s the main thing that friends and family and the doc and all them recommend,” he says. “Just get you some rest.” Read more from Billboard here . — Photo: WENN

(Photo by Arik McArthur/FilmMagic)   Drake Brought Out Meek Mill On Stage In Boston To Squash Beef “ Meek Mill , that’s my brother..” were the words Drake spoke to the crowd at the TD Garden after Meek performed “Dreams and Nightmares Intro”, signaling the end of the longstanding beef between the two artists.   Drake brings out @MeekMill for his Dreams and Nightmares intro tonight in Boston. #AATTM pic.twitter.com/msfcegt5xz — Word On Road (@WordOnRd) September 9, 2018   Drake saying use him and Meek Mill squashing their beef as an example. #AATTM pic.twitter.com/nPi7rr1D2k — Word On Road (@WordOnRd) September 9, 2018   The beef initially flared up in 2015 after Meek went after Drake, accusing him of hiring ghostwriters to write his songs. Drake fired back relentlessly dropping diss track after diss track and created a moment in Hip Hop and a classic rap beef that’s lasted almost 4 years. Things simmered down after Drake offered words of support after while Meek was serving time in prison for probation violation, but this performance makes things official. Hopefully other popular artists follow suit and end their beefs and get back to making dope music. Hit the flip for more from Meek’s homie Michael Rubin

Ben Affleck: Blasting Harvey Weinstein, Staying Sober (Report)

Over the past two weeks, there’s been a good deal of speculation about Ben Affleck’s sobriety . To bring you up to speed, Affleck checked into rehab back in March to seek treatment for an alcohol addiction he’d been battling on and off for over a decade. Over the summer, however, Ben appeared to relapse and was spotted drinking with girlfriend Lindsay Shookus on multiple occasions. Now, sources say Affleck is in outpatient therapy for further treatment, and is once again intent on staying sober. Shookus is a producer for Saturday Night Live, and sources close to the couple tell People magazine that Ben was on hand at 30 Rockefeller Center to support Lindsay over the weekend. Witnesses note, however, that the Oscar winner was not on hand for the weekly after-party, likely as a result of his efforts to abstain from drinking. So our congratulations go out to Ben for two reasons today: Not only does he appear to be recommitted to his own sobriety, he also his position of power to condemn the repugnant actions of disgraced mogul Harvey Weinstein. As you’ve no doubt heard, Weinstein stands accused of sexually assaulting numerous women over the course of the past thirty years. Weinstein was instrumental in the production and distribution of Good Will Hunting , the film that made household names of Affleck and friend Matt Damon. But despite his longstanding ties to Weinstein, Affleck castigated the disgraced 64-year-old in a scathing social media post: “I am saddened and angry that a man who I worked with used his position of power to intimidate, sexually harass and manipulate many women over decades,” Affleck wrote. “The additional allegations of assault that I read this morning made me sick. This is completely unacceptable, and I find myself asking what I can do to make sure this doesn’t happen to others,” the actor continued. It’s been rumored that Affleck’s statement was a response to a tweet from one of Weinstein’s alleged victims, actress Rose McGowan, who urged Ben and his brother Casey to speak out against their friend and former mentor. We may never know for certain if McGowan played a role in convincing Ben to speak out, but the important thing is that Affleck took a stand against Weinstein’s vile behavior. It’s been a rough year for Ben, what with a high-profile divorce, public struggle with addiction, and rumors of career difficulties. But he certainly seems focused on ending 2017 on a high note, and for that, we applaud him. View Slideshow: 25 Celebrities Who Have Been to Rehab

Pop Beef: Lady Gaga’s “Little Monsters” Protest Madonna’s GLAAD Award Appearance: “She Helped Spread AIDS Among Gay Men!”

WTF?! Lady Gaga Fans Protest Madonna’s GLAAD Award Appearance Via HuffingtonPost There’s no end in sight for the longstanding Madonna-Lady Gaga feud — at least as far as their fans are concerned. Now a pack of “Little Monsters” are petitioning the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), requesting that Madonna not be allowed to present Anderson Cooper with the prestigious Vito Russo Award at the March 16 ceremony in New York. Deeming GLAAD’s decision to tap the Material Girl “an insult to a true gay rights activist like Lady Gaga,” the Gaga fan blog Little Monster Artpop make an even more heinous suggestion, labeling Madge “one of the major reasons for AIDS.” “Back in the 1980′s, she encouraged gay men to have unprotected sex,” they write. “While she certainly didn’t start the disease, she and her lack of morals helped it spread.” If GLAAD officials don’t rethink their choice of having Madonna as a presenter, the group has vowed to “strike back” in an unspecified way in their letter. The post seems to ignore the fact that Madonna has always been a major supporter of HIV/AIDS research, even dedicating proceeds from numerous concerts to AIDS-related charities since the mid-1980s. It’s one thing to not life Madge, but to blame her for spreading AIDS amongst gay men, that’s pretty low-down. Image via WENN

Soul Train Awards Hosts Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson Talk Legacy

‘This is passion, this is love, this is music right here,’ crooner Ray J says of awards show, which airs Sunday on BET. By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by Joel Hanek Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard host the 2010 Soul Train Awards Photo: Moses Robinson/ Getty Images Decades after the groovy soul-music showcase “Soul Train” arrived on television sets across the nation, the 2010 Soul Train Awards are keeping the phenomenon’s legacy on track by spotlighting a new generation of R&B voices. This year’s show will air Sunday, November 28, on BET and Centric, and MTV News hit the red carpet before the taping of the event to check in with some of the most respected songsmiths around today about “Soul Train” ‘s cultural impact. “This is the platform for urban music and to be here today, for it to have so much longevity, this is it,” “Sexy Can I” crooner Ray J said. “This is passion, this is love, this is music right here.” “The Soul Train Awards is history, man,” hitmaking songwriter Sean Garrett added. Rising R&B face Melanie Fiona agreed, acknowledging the longstanding influence of the iconic production. “Soul Train Awards are great,” she smiled. “They come with a lot of history. They come with a lot of celebration of great music. It’s a great event and beautiful people, beautiful night.” For host Taraji P. Henson, the original television broadcast reminds the Hollywood veteran of “good times,” and was a cultural touchstone for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” actress. “I just remember learning how to dress and how to dance and wear my hair from ‘Soul Train,’ ” Henson recalled fondly. “That’s where I got all my fashion tips.” An array of inventive soul stars will hit the stage at this year’s event, including Bruno Mars, Cee Lo, Chrisette Michele, R. Kelly, Keyshia Cole, Ne-Yo and Erykah Badu. R&B luminaries Anita Baker and Ron Isley will be honored as Soul Train Awards Legends. Detroit soul star Dwele chatted about the enduring legacy of the enterprise, which remained on the air for 37 years and began dishing out coveted hardware in a separate awards show in the ’80s. ” ‘Soul Train,’ period, is music. It’s our music from back in the day and it’s still relevant currently, and that’s a beautiful thing,” he said. Co-host Terrence Howard, who returned with Henson to helm the event once again, maintained that the “Soul Train” phenomenon transcends music and reflects the game-changing strides made by African-Americans over the last few decades. “It reminds me of the advancement that black people have made over the years ’cause ‘Soul Train’ really was the beginning of that Black Power movement when we actually could see ourselves. And to have an awards show based upon that ‘Soul Train,’ it’s headed somewhere.” Who are you looking forward to checking out at this year’s Soul Train Awards? Let us know in the comments!
