The rapper tweeted, “My eyes are now wide open and now realize I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in. The new $126,460 donation to the progressive Chicago mayoral candidate was disclosed on Wednesday, per a report from NBC Chicago . Previously, West gave the campaign fund $73,540, making this recent amount almost double. After the Illinois State Board of Elections fined Enyia for “failing to properly file quarterly finance reports in connection with her 2015 campaign for mayor,” Kanye stepped in to offer a helping hand. Enyia never closed her campaign account following her withdrawal from the 2015 mayoral race, prompting the fines but now, which is what Yeezy’s $73K contribution covered. There’s no word yet on what this new donation from Kanye covers, but what it does show is that he’s still invested in politics at least for Chicago’s sake. Chance the Rapper was the first rapper to endorse Enyia, with his friend and collaborator Kanye following closely behind and attending an event with both Amara and Chance. “Narcissistically, if I back you, you have a chance,” Chance said last month during a press conference that simultaneously served as his announcement of the Enyia endorsement and his denouncement of rumors suggesting he was planning to run himself.

Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images 50 Cent Signs A Huge Overall Deal With Starz 50 Cent continues to secure his spot as a legend in the industry. On October 11, the folks over at Variety reported that 50 had signed a four-year overall deal with Starz, the production company that has been producing the hit TV series Power with Mr. Cent since 2014. According to the publication, the deal could be worth as much as $150 million. The new deal will see 50 Cent work through G-Unit Film & Television, Inc. to develop “scripted and unscripted content” for the Lionsgate-owned company. The deal includes a three-series commitment and gives him complete access to all of Starz’s platforms. While speaking on the matter, the rapper and mogul made it clear he’s excited about the deal, which also grants him a say in “the merchandising and licensing of brands and content developed by G-Unit.” “When I sat down with Chris [Albrecht, Starz CEO] and walked him through my plans for G-Unit Film & Television going forward, he let me know I was essentially requesting the biggest deal in premium cable history,” said the G-Unit boss. “I am excited to announce that we’ve made that partnership between myself, G-Unit Film & Television and Starz/Lionsgate and we will continue our proven track record of breaking records and delivering unique content for audiences around the world … Get The Strap.” This news comes almost 1 year after it was reported that 50 had signed an eight-figure deal with Starz. As of now, it’s unclear whether or not this deal is related to the one he signed recently–but either way, he’s making bank. Now, only a few days later, the 20-year-old Japanese-Haitian star could be destined for a big pay day from one of the biggest sportswear companies in the world. Adidas is prepared to pay the young Osaka $8.5 million a year, according to reports from The Times of London. If this endorsement does indeed work out as planned, it would make this the biggest deal Adidas has ever given to a woman. Osaka’s current contract, which is set to expire this year, is already with Adidas, and is reportedly somewhere in the six figures neighborhood. Naomi has been climbing the women’s tennis rankings steadily since 2017, and her defeat over Williams on Saturday made her the first Japanese-born player to take home a major title. Adidas has not yet commented on the possibility of a new contract for Osaka.

According to Variety , Marvel’s Black Panther has now grossed over $1 billion in global box office sales and it has only been out for 26 days! Of those 10-figures, $521 million are domestic dollars while the rest comes from overseas. The domestic number makes BP the ninth-highest grossing film of ALL TIME, and the second highest superhero flick behind The Dark Knight ($535 million). There is no doubt that by next weekend it will surpass Batman as the rightful king of comic book cinema as Ryan Coogler’s film is set to make $40 million this weekend. In regards to the racist myth that “Black films don’t do well overseas”, well, T’Challa and crew debuted in China this weekend and brought in $20 million on the first night. Case closed.
