Source: NurPhoto / Getty Man Fires Shots And Took Hostages At NJ UPS According to NBCNewYork , a man ran inside at UPS mail-sorting facility in New Jersey, fired a shot, and took two women hostage, one of which was his ex-girlfriend. Police shot the unidentified man after had barricaded himself into a room and began a hostage negotiation. Neither of the women was harmed. ‘UPS is working with law enforcement as they respond to an active shooter situation at one of the company’s supply chain processing facilities in Logan Township, New Jersey. We cannot provide information about the identity of people involved at this time,’ UPS said in a statement. ‘There was a massive police presence as soon as we were walking out of the building, there were a good 10 cop cars, they all had their guns drawn out heading toward the main entrance of the building,’ Erickson said. ‘From what I understand it was someone who did not work there that was having a confrontation with their significant other,’ she added. Model Sues Photo Agency for Including Image in HIV Positive Ad

Avril Nolan is positively irate. Because she is not HIV positive. The model is seeking $450,000 from Getty because it used her image in a quarter-page Division of Human Rights ad that appeared this April in the newspaper amNewYork , one that reads: “I am positive (+) … I have rights.” Woman Files Suit Over HIV Ad Nolan says the poster implies she has this disease, adding that the picture in it is from a fashion shoot two years ago and never meant to be used in such a manner. Erin Lloyd, Nolan’s attorney, says her client was “mortified” upon seeing the ad and that it has “has caused a lot of anxiety.” “Upon learning of the publication, [Ms. Nolan] became instantly upset and apprehensive that her relatives, potential romantic partners, clients as well as bosses and supervisors might have seen the advertisement,” Lloyd writes in the lawsuit. “Feeling humiliated and embarrassed, [Ms. Nolan] was forced to confess to her bosses that her image had been used in an advertisement for HIV services, implying that she was infected with HIV, in a newspaper often used by her own clients for advertising and that is distributed to tens of thousands of New Yorkers every day.” Photographer Jena Cumbo, who snapped the pic, tells The New York Daily News that a lot of people involved in this incident “dropped the ball” and that she did not comprehend her contract with Getty.

For real tho?!?! Clearly foreign affairs isn’t Kim’s strong point!! Acording to TMZ : Kim Kardashian is APOLOGIZING for “offending” some of her followers by tweeting about the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians. Kim says she wants “own up” for publishing two tweets — the first read, “Praying for everyone in Israel.” A short time later, she added, “Praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world!” Kim later deleted both the tweets — and issued the following explanation: “I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize.” The statement continues, “I should have pointed out my intentions behind these tweets when I posted them. The fact is that regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who didnt choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution. New Reality Layoff Show Coming to Fox

There’s a new reality show coming to Fox that attempts to capitalize on the bad economy while broadcasting poor souls’ pain at being told they’re out of a job. Called Someone’s Gotta Go , the show will let real small business employees see their coworkers salaries and vote on who will be laid off. It’s like Survivor meets The Office .
