Tony Awards 2016: Who Won?!?

The 2016 Tony Awards aired live from New York on Sunday night. Although host James Corden and company were forced to take a sobering tone due to the tragic Orlando shooting that took place in a gay nightclub just hours prior to the event. “Our hearts go out to all of those affected by this atrocity,” Corden said to open the ceremony, adding: “You’re not on your own. Your tragedy is our tragedy. Hate will never win. We have to make sure of that. Tonight’s show stands as a symbol of that principle.” And that show did have to go on, despite the death of 50 people in Florida. As expected, the best-reviewed and most popular production in Broadway dominated the winner’s circle. Josh Duggar: HIDING in Rehab Until Sex Scandal Blows Over, Afraid to Come Home?

Disgraced reality star Josh Duggar has been hiding out in a secluded, sex addiction rehab program in Illinois for half a year now.  All the while, his scorned and long-suffering wife Anna Duggar is raising their four children on her own, toiling away until his return. Anna, who’s homeschooling the couple’s children, is effectively a single mom who has borne all the responsibilities of child-rearing. Granted, she was doing the bulk of the work before while Josh was looking at online porn and cruising Ashley Madison for mistresses. (Reports that Josh got Anna Duggar pregnant during a conjugal visit appear to be false; Anna would have a hard time hiding it this long.) In any case … what is Josh’s deal at this point? For a man supposedly focused on recovery, and desperate to save his marriage, one wonders what the hell he’s still doing in rehab. Yes, we know that an addict can’t change his ways overnight, and whatever special “program” he’s in should be given time to take hold. In reality, all men are kind of sex addicts though. Some just choose to have respect for their wives and not go on Ashley Madison and/or pay strippers for rough sex. Just food for thought. Regardless of the merits of sex addiction rehab, it’s been six months. Is it not time for him to return to his marriage and help heal that? View Slideshow: 13 Reasons Why Anna Duggar Should Leave Josh NOW Given that first-timers usually stay in rehab for 30, 60 or 90 days, the only logical conclusion is that Duggar is using “rehab” as an excuse . Whether he’s been stashed away by his parents or staying put of his own volition, this reeks of a strategy to stay out of the public eye. And it’s borderline shameful if you ask us. Yes, the longer Josh stays out of the public eye, the more we talk about Jana Duggar and Jill’s second pregnancy (supposedly) instead. But for a dude you would think is eager to change his image – that of a hypocrite, and terrible husband and father – it’s a fine line indeed. The Duggars reportedly lost a staggering $25 million in 2015 due to lost book deals, endorsements and speaking engagements. Josh was to blame for that, and also did some bad things, so the Duggars’ desire to distance themselves is understandable. To a degree. Except for the fact that 1. Anna Duggar suffers for it, and 2. Misty Copeland Engaged To Boyfriend Olu Evans Congratulations are in order for Misty Copeland yet again. According to Daily Mail reports : Ballerina Misty Copeland has revealed that she is engaged to her longtime boyfriend Olu Evans – and she is already busy planning what her wedding gown will look like. The 32-year-old dancer, who made history earlier this year when she became the first African-American female principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre (ABT), stars on the September 2015 cover of Essence , and confirmed the happy news in the pages of the magazine, admitting: ‘I can’t believe my life right now.’ Earlier this week, the brunette beauty told Vanity Fair that her bridal attire will not mimic the whimsical tulle creations she wears on stage as at ABT performances. ‘I’d like to show my figure, somewhat – romantic and elegant,’ she said of her dream gown. ‘I don’t think I want to go super poofy or anything like that.’ She explained: ‘It’s very different for a performer, a ballerina, someone who is onstage a lot and wears big costumes. ‘So it’s not like this is my chance to be that way, because that’s something I do every day, almost. I want to feel like myself – but more beautiful than I do every day.’ When discussing her current sartorial choices, she inadvertently drew attention to the news of her engagement when she said: ‘My fiance calls me fancy!’ Misty has been with Olu, a 37-year-old corporate attorney, for the past 10 years, and the two share an apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Congratulations to Misty! She deserves all of this and more… Rumors swirled that the dancer was engaged when she was seen wearing a diamond ring earlier this month when she visited the Suncor Boys & Girls Club in Denver Colorado. In June, Misty made history when she became the first African-American woman ever promoted to principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre in its 75-year history. The author, who wrote co-wrote her memoir Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina, will make her debut on Broadway in a revival of On The Town. Misty will play Miss Turnstiles, the love interest of a sailor on leave in 1940s New York, from August 25 to September 6. Speaking at the The Starfish Foundation’s PowHERful Summit in July, Misty revealed that although she dated other guys, Olu was first real boyfriend. ‘It took me finding a person that respected me, that allowed me to still fulfill what I wanted to in my career,’ she said. ‘That was most important to me. ‘I always said “no man is coming in and taking me away from ballet.” And that was so important to me that the person I ended up with was going to support me in every way, because my career is so important to me. ‘And I knew immediately when he wasn’t afraid of hearing or seeing me so damaged – and that he wanted to help because he cared about me as a person,’ she added of Olu. The two met at a New York City club in 2006 when Olu was out with his cousin, actor Taye Diggs. ‘He taught me to communicate in ways I’d never learned before, to not run away from problems, and sit down and think about things critically,’ she told Elle of Olu last year. ‘And he made me feel like I really did have a bright future as a ballerina.’ Aw he seems like a great guy. Entertainment Exec Cynthia Ladd Steps Forward As Cosby Victim How many accusers does this make? We’ve pretty much lost count at this point. Via LA Times : A philanthropist and former entertainment exec has become the latest in a string of alleged victims to accuse entertainer Bill Cosby of sexual assault. The accusation by Cindra Ladd, the wife of former 20th Century Fox President Alan Ladd Jr., came on the same day that the entertainer pulled out of another scheduled concert performance, this time in Bakersfield. Cosby has canceled several scheduled dates since the scandal broke late last year, and his Feb. 12 concert at the Fox Theatre would have been the closest appearance to Los Angeles since the controversy erupted. In an essay posted to the Huffington Post on Monday, Ladd wrote that she first met Cosby in 1969 in New York when she was a 21-year-old single woman working for the late film producer Ray Stark. She said Cosby at that time was a 32-year-old “nationally known performer, and “one of the most likeable and popular entertainers in the business.” Ladd wrote that Cosby asked for her number, and she gave it to him. The two began hanging out, going to movies and eating snacks in her apartment with her roommate in their apartment. “He was married to his current wife and he acted like a perfect gentleman who didn’t come on to either of us, which, I have to admit, made me wonder what his objective was,” she wrote. She said she met him one night before a movie outing at an apartment that he said belonged to a friend of his. After she complained of a terrible headache, Cosby told her he had a “miracle cure” given to him by a doctor. He gave her a capsule, saying she could trust him. Ladd wrote that she doesn’t recall exactly what happened because it remains “a blur.” But she said she awoke the following morning nude in bed at the friend’s apartment, and Cosby was wearing a white terry cloth bathrobe: “It was obvious that he had had sex with me.” She said she never went to the police because it was a “different time and ‘date rape’ was a concept that did not exist.” They just keep piling up …
