Illuminati Files: Hovi Hov Breaks Lil’ Wayne’s Billboard Record Now That “Watch The Throne” Finally Has A Top Ten Single

In the rap beef universe, “wins” are almost always a matter of opinion. And here’s yet another “win” to be debated. Almost four months after their “Watch the Throne” album bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, the superstar set by Jay-Z and Kanye West yields its first Hot 100 top 10, as “Ni**as in Paris” roars 15-8 with Digital Gainer honors. The track bounds 17-5 on Digital Songs (113,000, up 68%) after the duo performed it on the 16th annual “Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,” broadcast Nov. 29 on CBS. With the jump, “Throne” generates its first Hot 100 top 10 after “H*A*M” (included on the album after its January release) reached No. 29; “Otis,” featuring the late Otis Redding, rose to No. 12; and, “Who Gon Stop Me” peaked at No. 44. The set has sold 1.1 million copies. As “Paris” climbs, Jay-Z nets his 18th Hot 100 top 10, passing Lil Wayne and Ludacris (17 each) for the most top 10s among rappers in the chart’s archives. West tallies his 14th top 10 with the advance. So “yay, Hov,” right? Except a) we’re not quite sure how this is the first top ten single from “Watch The Throne” and b) “The Carter IV” already has three top ten singles. But again, all of these “victories” are debatable. Source

When The Checks Stop Coming In: TLC’s T-Boz Files For Bankruptcy!

We’re sure someone can help her. What about her friends??? According to TMZ reports : T-Boz ain’t too proud to beg — just like TLC sang back in the 90s — because she’s filed for bankruptcy. According to docs filed last month in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, T-Boz (real name Tionne Watkins) found herself owing creditors $768,642.99 — mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house. The docs don’t paint a picture of exorbitant spending — she takes in $11,700/month in income, with monthly expenses totaling $8,821. TLC had ten top ten singles, four number one singles, four multi-platinum albums, and four Grammy Awards … but according to the docs, T-Boz only pulls in $1,200/month in royalties. T-Boz might have dodged the bankruptcy bullet if she’d been able to collect the child support she claims she’s owed — which according to the docs is $250,000. Calls to her attorney were not returned. All jokes aside, we hope that T-Boz is able to get her money situation under control. It’s always sad to see someone who had so much success be under financial duress. More On Bossip! It’s A Dirty, Dirty World: 10 Countries Where Humans Are Speeding Up The End Of Days With Pollution

We’ve seen enough crazy weather in the last 12 months to no longer have to question whether or not global warming exists. But contrary to what some would have you believe, the US didn’t single-handedly destroy the environment with our love of S.U.V.s and penchant for waste. The World Health Organization just conducted a study to see who the biggest polluters are across the globe. The WHO study looked at air quality in 91 countries, measured by the amount of PM10 particles per cubic meter. PM10 particles are particles of 10 micrometers or less that can cause diseases and infections. According to the WHO, PM10 levels above 20 micrograms per cubic meter can cause health risks. The top ten most polluted countries have PM10 levels from six times to 14 times that level. Dayum! Which countries managed to hit those levels? And where does the U.S. fall in all of this? Flip through to find out.

Megan Fox Is Pure Perfection

This is what I like to see, a hottie like Megan Fox wearing an appropriately hot outfit. Why would someone this hot ever leave the house NOT wearing something like this that shows off pretty much everything she’s got? It just doesn’t make sense to me. If I was jacked with a six pack, I’d wear a sleeveless shirt, probably with the stomach cut out. It just makes sense. Anyhow, the chick is gorgeous and is basically wearing a long tank top, I love it, and I hope none of you are reading this right now. Look at her damn it!

Hollywood Tuna’s Bikini Showdown – Kelly Brook Is The Winner!!!

I’m sure she will be happy to know that she won the greatest web contest ever. Most top ten’s and top whatever’s are chosen by editors, this was chosen by you! Good job. Stay tuned for our next showdown and Kelly a little love back wouldn’t hurt. more pictures of Kelly Brook in a bikini here View past Bikini Showdowns

‘American Idol’ Elton John Night Boosts Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams

Pia Toscano and Scotty McCreery also wow the judges. By Gil Kaufman “American Idol” top ten plus one Photo: FOX Theme nights are always tricky, and on Wednesday (March 30), the “American Idol” top 11 had to take on the imposing catalog of Elton John. Some soared and some crashed, and a couple of recent cellar dwellers — Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart — appeared to pull themselves out of the fire with gutsy performances. As always on non-country theme weeks, the question was “What is Scotty McCreery going to do this time?” He made the obvious choice, the obscure “Country Comfort,” which he picked because it had the word “country” in it, but also because it’s one of Elton’s only country-leaning tunes. With lyrics about grandmas and factory closings, it was pretty much what you’d expect: a Vince Gill-esque, aw-shucks acoustic amble accented by pedal steel and piano — with a shout-out to his real granny! — that, well, sounded like just about everything McC has done so far. “Nothin’ I could say to you that an old-fashioned pair of high-heeled cowboy boots wouldn’t fix,” Steven Tyler gushed cryptically, adding that he (still) loves everything about the teen crooner. Once again, Jennifer Lopez gave the most sage advice, encouraging Scotty not to get too in his head and doubt himself. Randy Jackson marveled at how fast Scotty has matured on the program and said he felt like he was at a headlining show by the “Idol” finalist. If Scotty always brings the country rumble, dreadlocked rude girl Naima Adedapo similarly finds a way to add a reggae swag to her songs. Wearing a white jumpsuit with red, yellow and green accents, she gave a Bob Marley-esque island vibe to “I’m Still Standing,” struggling at points to keep in tune but truly making it her own and creating one of the most unique “Idol” makeovers in the recent memory. Lopez and Jackson loved the reggae lilt but weren’t sure if it wasn’t a better idea than the payoff, and maybe a bit corny. Talk about someone totally in the pocket on Elton night. Paul McDonald went for it with the legendary “Rocket Man,” which mentor Jimmy Iovine suggested he play like it was an encore in front of 20,000 screaming fans. Wearing his signature flowered country suit and strumming an acoustic guitar, McDonald started out mellow and seductive, with just a piano for accompaniment. It seemed like he blew off Iovine’s advice, because while he retained that ragged Ray LaMontagne vibe, he barely got out of second gear, keeping things mostly low-key and feathery. Randy called it “quiet comfort” and said, despite being pitchy, Paul’s soft, gentle voice was once again infectious, and Jennifer suggested he was holding back and needed to let loose. “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” is an old “Idol” favorite, and despite being counseled to move out of the ballad-ballad-ballad routine, Pia Toscano went with the emotional staple. With a subtle arrangement, Toscano put the focus squarely on her powerful voice and, backed by a gospel choir, she seemed to hit the sweet spot once more. “Pia, you’ve done it again,” Tyler said, gently needling Randy’s suggestion that Pia switch it up. “That’s what you are and you sang it, you nailed it. And you know how I know a good song? It makes me cry inside … that’s just about as good as it gets.” Lopez said the notes Pia chooses take the audience to “an otherworldly place” and that Toscano seems poised to break through to another level. Stefano Langone made his first trip to the bottom three last week, so he was probably hoping that the epic “Tiny Dancer” would do the trick. But the cheesy arrangement and his smarmy Disney-style performance probably didn’t save the day. All three judges liked it and said Stefano seemed to be really taking their notes and trying to connect with the audience, keep his eyes open and his voice focused on his sweet, high range. Teen Lauren Alaina was just a toddler during the second revival of ultimate weeper “Candle in the Wind” in 1997, but her restrained, country lilt came off like the ultimate mash-up of past “Idol” divas Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Though the performance was a bit sedate, her vocals were controlled and crisp and she gave off her usual

Singer will unveil an acoustic version of ‘Aftermath’ to benefit The Trevor Project. By Shawn Adler Adam Lambert Photo: MTV News All season long on “American Idol,’ top ten finalist James Durbin has had to endure comparisons to season eight runner-up Adam Lambert . This week, he’ll get to make those comparisons himself. Lambert will return to the Idol stage Thursday evening (March 10) to perform an acoustic version of “Aftermath,” according to the singer’s personal Twitter page . Immediately following the show, the song will be made available exclusively on Lambert’s website, with all proceeds from the sale going to The Trevor Project, an organization which offers support for and aims to prevent suicide by lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered teens. “In order to fully benefit the Trevor Project, the remix will only be available on my site. [But it will also] be on iTunes eventually,” the 29-year-old singer tweeted . The release will mark the first time that “Aftermath” is available as a single in the United States, and the fourth single overall from Lambert’s 2009 album “For Your Entertainment,” following the record’s title track, “Whataya Want from Me” and “If I Had You.” “[Aftermath] was written about finding the courage to be honest with yourself and the people who love you,” Lambert said in a statement. “It’s about facing adversity and taking risks in the name of personal liberation. The song takes on different meanings to different listeners.” While “Idol” looks back with Lambert, the openly gay singer continues looking forward, hard at work on his next album, he told MTV News . “I’m in talks, so it’s all kind of being conceptualized right now, and what we’re hoping for is maybe by the fall,” Lambert said of his sophomore effort. “So, I’m going to take my time and really write the most personal songs, the most powerful songs. I really want it to be something that’s really honest and real.” Related Artists Adam Lambert
