Nick Cannon: Bragging About New Girl, Getting Spousal Support From Mariah Carey

Remember when Nick Cannon said he would ” never diss Mariah Carey ” in a song? Yeah, it turns out he forgot about that too. Footage of Nick shooting a video for his newest single at a Hollywood strip club leaked online today, and the lyrics of the song seem to be filled with shots at Mariah: Nick Cannon Disses Mariah Carey Not only does Nick boast about banging a “girl named Keisha,” he also seems to suggest that he took a big chunk of his ex’s fortune when he split from Mariah back in August. “Hit high notes, n–ga, ask my wife,” Cannon raps on the track. “Whoops, I mean ex, I got her checks, blank checks.” Yes, it sounds like Nick’s still receiving support from Mariah, which is somewhat surprising. Sure, she’s got more money than he does, but Nick makes a solid income between his music, acting, and hosting gigs. Plus, there have been near-constant rumors of Cannon cheating on Mariah , and alimony is rarely awarded to spouses who are suspected of infidelity. Of course, the divorce isn’t final yet, and it’s possible that Cannon’s gravy train will go off the tracks once a judge gets involved, but for now it seems like he’s got the best of both worlds – Mariah’s money and the freedom of a single man. Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader Recite Fake Movie Lines, Make Push to Host 2016 Golden Globes

It’s very sad, but very true: Following another stellar performance as emcees of the 2015 Golden Globe Awards , Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will not return to the same stage next year. So, even though we’re a mere 24 hours removed from the conclusion of Sunday’s ceremony, it’s not too early to think about the 2016 Golden Globes… … and to cast our vote for Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader as hosts! The former Saturday Night Live cast members and Skeleton Twins co-stars put on the funniest presentation last night, teasing the award for Best Screenplay by reciting famous movie lines. Famous FAKE movie lines, that is. From E.T., for example? “Kids I really, I gotta get back to my planet.” From Titanic? “Guys, relax!” From The Terminator? “Excuse me, which way is the Beverly Center?” Toward the end, Wiig started to do a Robert De Niro impression and both just broke out laughing. Are on board with this proposal? Should Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader host the 2016 Golden Globe Awards? YES! No, bring back Ricky Gervais! No, give me Khloe Kardashian or give me death! Who cares? Peter O’Toole’s Drunkest Hits

It’s not as though Peter O’Toole died this week when he announced his retirement from acting, but contemplating the Irish great’s absence from stage and screen alike nevertheless yields a bittersweet fog of remembrance through which our hearts and souls must now navigate. I think they call it a “hangover.” Thankfully, there is video (to say nothing of the gloriously soggy moment in time, above, when Roger Ebert and Jason Patric found themselves supporting the legend). For my money, nothing beats his epic entrance on a 1995 episode of The Late Show , where David Letterman welcomed O’Toole and a thirsty camel named Topsy to the stage in London. What happened next put Lawrence of Arabia to shame. Previously, during a drunken stint on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show , O’Toole had confessed to… another drunken stint on The Tonight Show . And who will ever forget (ahem) O’Toole’s celebrated performance as the sodden title character in Keith Waterhouses’s play Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell ? (Dialogue NSFW, though under the circumstances what could possibly go wrong with slowly turning your chair to your boss and/or any other objecting parties and woozily sputtering, “It’s Peter O’Fucking Toole . Listen!”) Here he is duetting with — and tackling, naturally — his late, lamented contemporary Richard Harris ahead of a rugby match in Ireland. It’s not quite O’Toole, but back on The Late Show in 2011, you can practically taste the sauce in Ryan Gosling’s tale of confronting the actor on Oscar night a few years earlier. And just for fun, here’s Bill Hader helping to cement O’Toole’s legacy, SNL style: Oh! And he acted in a few things en route to becoming the losingest (0-for-8, ouch) acting nominee in the history of the Academy Awards. He did, however, deliver a reasonably sober acceptance speech for the honorary Oscar he received (despite trying to refuse ) in 2003. By way of our partners at ENTV, here’s a run through O’Toole’s screen highlights. Happy retirement, Peter! We’ll send whiskey. Follow S.T. VanAirsdale on Twitter . Follow Movieline on Twitter .

Derek Zoolander Makes Triumphant Return on SNL

Ben Stiller hosted last night’s episode of SNL , and while he didn’t quite bring the game that Alec Baldwin and Melissa McCarthy did in weeks past, he did bring an old friend: Derek Zoolander. Stiller revived the titular male model from the 2001 comedy during Weekend Update, where Bill Hader’s Stefon claimed him as a date. Hope you’re prepared to handle Derek’s “cold coffee” face on this pleasant Sunday morning.

SNL Scorecard: Where the Hell Was Ed Helms?

It’s apparent that there are certain Saturday Night Live hosts whom the show really has no idea how to use — Elton John is a good example from earlier this season. Then there’s the strange case of Ed Helms: For whatever reason, the show decided to pretty much ignore the fact that Helms was host altogether.

SNL Scorecard: Did a Slew of Cameos Save Elton John’s Show?

What an odd night. Then again, when Elton John was announced as Saturday Night Live ‘s musical guest and host, perhaps an “odd night” should have been expected. But not quite like this.

SNL Scorecard: Miley Cyrus’ Show Was Not ‘Pretty Cool’

Anytime Saturday Night Live brings on a “young, hip” entertainer, they have a history of dumbing down their material for the mass audience — which is exactly what happened last night with host Miley Cyrus. It’s obvious that there’s a concerted effort to appeal to the 16-year-old out there who has never watched SNL before, but was watching last night because Cyrus was hosting — a Cyrus, I should add, who came off a bit smug at times (her monologue is a good example) and seemed to never really win over the studio audience.

SNL Scorecard: Were Three Mark Zuckerbergs a Charm?

A “cocky” Jesse Eisenberg hosted last night’s edition of Saturday Night Live , though his performance was a bit lost in the excitement from the worst kept secret of the week: The actor’s first (OK, maybe second, considering that they most likely caught up during dress rehearsal) face-to-face meeting with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, whom Eisenberg portrayed in The Social Network . But, stunt cameos aside, how did the recent Oscar nominee fare?

Who Scored Big in Week 12 of SNL’s Not-Ready-for-Prime-Time-Player Relevancy Poll?

This season of Saturday Night Live has been, at many times, a bit tired. Even the usually reliable political sketches have seen off. But I can’t remember the last time a season of SNL has seemed so energized by a group of new cast members — when they’re actually allowed on air. This past weekend, the featured players pretty much took over the last half of the show, and it may have been the best continuous half-hour stretch of the season to date.

SNL Scorecard: Did the Rookies Save Gwyneth Paltrow’s Show?

Last night’s Gwyneth Paltrow-hosted edition of Saturday Night Live used an interesting formula: The first half of the show featured mostly the established cast-members (Kristen Wiig even got to do that Kristen Wiig thing that she does, a rarity as of late), which has been, at best, hit or miss all season. Then, after a notably feisty “Weekend Update,” new featured players Jay Pharoah, Taran Killam and Paul Brittain, respectively, gave us three individual sketches that all killed. Were their efforts enough to make this a memorable show? On to the scorecard!
