‘RHOAS11’ Recap: Kandi And Porsha Hate Each Other Again

Original post:

Source: Bravo / Getty Tonight’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta is mostly about Porsha and Kandi’s reignited beef. We all knew this falling out was coming because that foundation was not stable. At. All. Kandi was barely getting over the drugging accusations that Porsha ignorantly threw around so willy-nilly. They both tolerated each other. Let’s get down to business. All the drama started when Porsha got kicked out of Todd’s Michael Jordan-themed, 45h birthday party. We cut back and forth between Kandi talking to her team and Porsha talking to her sister and Dennis. Todd was really out of the loop and Kandi only knew bits and pieces of what her team was telling her, primarily DonJuan and Jami. DonJuan and Jami explain that Porsha got mad that Jami’s friend, who used to date Dennis, tried to kiss him on the cheek. We all know that Jami and Porsha already don’t get along from when Porsha tried to fight her years ago for…who even remembers? Anyway, we also know that Porsha is a hothead. So, Jami said that Dennis and her friend were chatting it up and being friendly, but Porsha came out at the part where said friend tried to kiss Dennis on the cheek. Dennis claims that he pulled a matrix move when the friend tried to kiss him and kinda made it seem like the friend was coming on to him. Then Jami said that the friend started to walk away from Porsha, but that Porsha began escalating the situation and getting rowdy. Jami said she stepped in the middle and that Porsha chest bumped her. Porsha then said that someone from Kandi’s team kicked her out because they didn’t want anyone to act a’fool at Kandi and Todd’s event. That person from Kandi’s team corroborates that claim. Porsha said that the next day, #TheBlogs reported that she got into a fistfight, which wasn’t true, and she blames Kandi’s team, particularly Jami, for planting the story. She’s also pissed at Kandi for not following up with her. Meanwhile, Jami says that Porsha really needs to get mad at Dennis because, after the incident, he was allegedly texting her friend laughing and joking about the situation. Now let’s fast forward some more. At this point in the episode, we find Cynthia, Nene, Shamea, and Porsha together discussing the incident because they want to know how Porsha got kicked out. Porsha goes into her side of the story again and pretty much seems like the victim. But eventually they move on and Porsha finally reveals that she’s pregnant. They all erupt into screams of excitement and NeNe can breathe because she no longer has to keep this secret. But then Cynthia wonders what we’re all wondering: Why would Porsha put herself at risk at the party since she knew she was pregnant? All Porsha offers is that she’s upset at herself for putting herself in that position. Now Cynthia and NeNe want to talk to Kandi. So, let’s get to that moment. The entire group gets together—it’s a girls night at Tanya’s place. Let’s cut to the chase, it all goes downhill as soon as both women come face to face. They start off trying to explain their respective sides—as they always do—and then go into a full-blown argument. Porsha blames Kandi, Kandi explains that she didn’t plant a story and that she didn’t even know what was going on until after the fact. But then Porsha escalates by calling Kandi a b—h. Kandi tells Porsha that she doesn’t know how to control herself, which is definitely true because all this popping off can’t be good for the baby, yet here we are. Plus, Kandi said multiple people told her that Porsha was the aggressor. Anyway, Kandi attempts to make her way out before things go too far. She doesn’t even know that Porsha is pregnant. This is where we end for now because Kandi doesn’t make it out of the house before the episode ends. We get hit with a, “To Be Continued.” Next week, Porsha will also confront Dennis because she is starting to question whether she can trust him or not. Really?! Trevor Noah Hosted An Entire Episode Of ‘The Daily Show’ Without Speaking After Losing His Voice

Source: Ben Gabbe / Getty Trevor Noah Silently Hosted The Daily Show on Tuesday The Daily Show host Trevor Noah appeared on his nightly broadcast Tuesday as he normally does, but this time, he stayed silent throughout the episode. Trevor is battling a vocal issue and was instructed by his doctor not to speak in an effort to avoid needing surgery, which was revealed on the show. Tuesday’s episode began with Noah sitting next to comic Mike Acosta, who addressed the audience on behalf of the host. “You’ve probably noticed that this is a little different,” Acosta said, speaking as the host. “Well, what happened was, over the weekend, I lost my voice.” Acosta read the monologue for Tuesday’s show, while fellow comic Roy Wood Jr. sat down next to Noah for a later segment. Throughout the episode, Noah made hand gestures to go along with whatever his guests were saying to act as if he was still fulfilling his hosting duties. With Trevor on vocal rest, @roywoodjr steps in to report that lame duck Republicans are still on their voter suppression game… a month after the midterm elections. pic.twitter.com/MduyhriVbS — The Daily Show (@TheDailyShow) December 5, 2018 The guest hosts did not yet reveal how long Noah is expected to be on vocal rest, or how the hosting duties will be addressed moving forward on the show. Noah was in Johannesburg, South Africa over the weekend to host a Global Citizen concert commemorating Nelson Mandela–which he partly attributes to his voice being completely gone. The 34-year-old further explained his vocal issue in an Instagram post on Tuesday night, adding that he needs to cancel some of his upcoming stand-up gigs. “I thought that my vocal cords were healed but according to the doctor, flying 36 hours and hosting a giant concert in South Africa didn’t help me,” he wrote. “So if I want to get better I have to take it seriously now so that I can perform at 100% on my new tour next year. I hate the idea of canceling shows but I also hate the idea of losing my voice forever so I’m postponing all this year’s stand up shows and working hard on rehabbing the voice.” pic.twitter.com/U75lArqw8w — Trevor Noah (@Trevornoah) December 5, 2018

Viola Davis Liam Neeson and Michelle Rodriguez Open Up About Police Brutality

Read the original post:

Viola Davis and Liam Neeson are ready to hit the big screen in the Steve McQueen directed piece called Widows. This is the follow up to his Academy Award nominated 12 Years A Slave, in Widows, Viola plays a grieving wife named Veronica Rawlings who has to go on a heist with a group of other widows to repay their husband’s debts when a gangster turned politician named Jamal Manning comes knocking at her door asking for his money that got robbed by their deceased husbands. Sounds interesting right? I went to Chicago to sit down with Viola, Liam, Brian Tyree Henry, Cynthia Erivo and Michelle Rodriguez for this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine. The film is your classic tale of cops and robbers with a subplot of bad guys and gals fighting each other so it will be no surprise that this film has a lot of police interaction. I asked the cast about police brutality and Michelle Rodriguez opened up about losing a loved one to police violence in Jersey City, NJ. “I’ve been exposed to a lot of police brutality growing up in Jersey City. The Latino community as well as the African American community we are in it together,” Michelle explained. “I’ve seen so much gnarly stuff happening growing up in jersey city I’ll give you one account. My God son’s uncle being killed by cops and they tried to hide it by taking the body from the actual hospital, removing his tongue in the morgue before his sister could go identify the body. This is the kind of stuff the cops do to cover themselves up.” Liam chimed in as well, referencing the Laquan McDonald case where officer Jason Van Dyke, 40, was charged with murder acknowledging that these are sensitive times especially in Chicago where a young black man was shot 16 times. Also on this episode of Extra Butter, Brian Tyree Henry and Cynthia Erivo talk about crafting great scenes with Viola Davis and Viola and Liam have some fun talking about washcloths a conversation that led to a hilarious moment. Widows is in theaters everywhere this weekend 11/16.

Jersey Shore Recap: The Wrath of Jen Harley

Jersey Shore: Family Vacation did not kick off on Thursday night by playing the theme music from Jaws. But it might as well have. When we last left off these drinking buddies, they were preparing for the arrival of Jen Harley, who Ronnie invited to hang out despite the fact that she had (allegedly) just dragged him down the road from a car . (NOTE: This episode was filmed months ago, prior to the latest assault accusations against Harley .) Moreover, the last time Harley was part of the group, she (allegedly) got physical with Ronnie and got thrown out of Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. So, as you might expect, tension was running a bit high for her arrival in Jersey. The stars were out to dinner when she got to Atlantic City. After she delivered a few casual side hugs to everyone at the table, there was a whole lot of awkward silence untill JWOWW broke it hilariously by uttering: “Your mug shot — you look hot!” We’re not sure if we agree (see below), but the ice-breaking line worked and dinner commenced without incident. Following the meal, the team got all ready to watch DJ Pauly D do his thing. They were all staying at Harrah’s, but a Caesars Group hotel rep showed up and asked to speak to both Ronnie and Jen. As it turns out, the latter was banned from all Caesars Group properties due to her actions in Sin City, but she was permitted to remain on the premises after she and Ronnie convinced the rep everything would remain calm. “We’ve been going through anger management and therapy on our own,” Jen said. Ronnie told his pals that the issue had to do with Jen forgetting her ID, although no one believes him. But whatever. It was off to the club to have some fun! And for the real drama to begin. While enjoying Pauly D’s performance, the group was dancing and laughing and drinking and having such a great time that they almost forgot how dysfunctional Ronnie and Jen could be. Correction: How dysfunctional they always are. Jen got wasted, Ronnie told her to stop drinking and then the following exchange occurred: And, with that, Jen was gone. Elsewhere on the episode, Angelina Pivarnick opened up to JWoww, Deena Cortese and The Situations’s fiancee, Lauren, at brunch. The topic? Her abusive upbringing. “My dad and me — we’re like — we’re decent,” Angelina said, adding in detail: “My childhood was not easy. Our parents didn’t have a good relationship. My father was a cheater. He was an abusive father. He was never a father to me growing up as a kid. “He met my mother in court because my father was always in and out of jail. “When I was born, my father was in jail. He only had me because it was gonna give him a lesser jail sentence, so he was like, ‘Oh, lemme have a daughter with a woman that I don’t even love.'” Wow, huh? Heavy, heavy stuff. Lauren attempted to suggest that perhaps this was simply Angelina’s “perspective” on the situation, but Angelina maintained that’s “exactly” what her father told her. “Hearing from Angelina her daddy issues is heartbreaking ’cause it makes sense as to why she’s very codependent,” JWOWW told cameras. “I feel really bad for how I treated Angelina and for how I judged her.” So while one relationship took another turn for the crazy and dangerous, at least another one was maybe salvaged this week. We’ll leave you on that positive note.
