Nicola Peate’s jaw locked while she was eating the triple-patty ‘Kids in America Burger’ at Almost Famous in Liverpool. Colleagues laughed it off when the incident first happened during a work night out on and after fiance Neil finished the remainder of the burger, the pair made their way home – oblivious to the seriousness of the injury. But by the time Nicola, 25, arrived at work the next day, the pain had become unbearable. She said: ‘I didn’t think I’d dislocated it – you don’t expect it to happen eating a burger. ‘But I tried to eat it with a knife and fork and couldn’t. I couldn’t open my mouth fully. ‘It felt like I had cramp in my tongue, then I started to get an ear ache and a headache. ‘The next morning I woke up and felt really, really ill. The whole side of my head was hurting. ‘Then it started to feel like it was in my jaw and I knew I’d dislocated it.’ An x ray in the Emergency Department at the Royal Liverpool Hospital confirmed Nicola’s fears and a doctor quickly manipulated her jaw back into place using his thumbs. ‘The minute it went back in it was like turning a tap off in my head,’ Nicola remembered. ‘All the tension just went.’ Nicola has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which means she has hyper-flexible joints that are unstable and therefore prone to dislocation, so she has visited many hospitals over the years. The clinical director of the Royal’s Emergency Department Kathryn Clark said: ‘Thankfully, incidents such as this are rare but our staff are very experienced in diagnosing and correcting dislocations. ‘I hope that in future, she takes more care when eating over-sized burgers. ‘If food is too large, we would recommend cutting it into more manageable chunks, particularly if you have Elhers-danlos syndrome.’ A spokeswoman for Almost Famous invited Nicola to enjoy a burger on them – complete with an emergency kit including cutlery and painkillers should she need it. She said: While it’s something that people joke about quite often, this is definitely the first instance of jaw dislocation as a result of an Almost Famous burger we’ve ever heard of.’ They should have left her jaw broke for being so stupid.

Via Raw Story: A woman has posted an offer on a French website to breast-feed babies of homosexual male couples for 100 euros ($130) a day, stirring up media interest just weeks after a divisive same-sex marriage law was passed. The post, which the website said it verified as genuine and legal, reads: “I am a young mother in perfect health, a trained nurse of 29, and I am renting my breasts to milk-feed infants.” The offer, addressed to male homosexual couples who can marry legally in France since May, promises up to 10 breast-feeds a day. The woman is mobile and based near Paris, it says. Alexandre Woog, chief executive of the e-loue website where the offer appeared, said its staff had contacted the person and had no doubt about her identity and the seriousness of the proposal, nor the legality of the service proposed. “Our legal advisers are sure of this. It’s illegal in France to sell maternal milk but this is a person proposing a service, not selling the milk in flasks,” Woog told Reuters. While France has just joined more than a dozen countries to legalize marriage and adoption of children by same-sex couples, it does not permit surrogacy or assisted reproduction for gay and lesbian couples. Reuters was unable to independently confirm the authenticity of the French breast-feed offer or the identity of the person behind it, who said in response to queries via the website that many people had replied to the proposal. “I’ve received more than a dozen requests, but only half of them were serious. Oregon Man Accused Of Releasing Man Fluids On Bus Passnegers A perverted bus rider in Oregon is now facing serious charges after he allegedly gave his man meat a little hands-on lovin’ before letting his fluids fly into the hair of other female bus passengers. via Huffington Post Cream rinse! Jared Weston Walter, 26, is accused of playing with himself and ‘squirting man-juices’ on heads of TriMet bus passengers in Portland, Oregon, The Oregonian reported. Walter allegedly gave a female passenger the special protein treatment at about 7 a.m. Tuesday, and authorities believe he did the same thing to at least two other women over the past three weeks. “At the time of those first two reports, the victims were unsure as to what had transpired, and the seriousness of the offense was not understood,” wrote Sgt. Pete Simpson in a statement obtained by The Oregonian. Walter has become known as the “TriMet barber” because in 2010, he was convicted of cutting off the hair of random bus passengers and spreading super glue on their heads. He was sentenced to 13 months in prison and two years of parole, according to KATU, and was just recently paroled. Now he’s facing charges of sex abuse, harassment, disorderly conduct, public indecency and interfering with public transportation. In the film, out Friday, a couple (played by Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams) survive a serious car accident, but the wife suffers severe memory loss and can’t even remember meeting her husband. Tatum’s character goes to great lengths to try and get her to fall in love with him again. “The Vow” is not a movie for everyone, of course, but when MTV News caught up with Tatum and McAdams , they had no problem gushing about their experiences falling in love onscreen. We asked them to explain to the more cynical-seeming younger generation out there why the film has universal appeal and how they learned to be romantic in the first place. “I sort of learned how to do that through movies and through TV, through stories,” Tatum said. “Stories are such teachers and lesson-learning tools. Maybe we’re not making good enough love stories and they’re just losing touch,” he added with a laugh. McAdams spoke to certain times in a person’s life that are more ripe for romance than others, that when we’re younger and just starting to experience romantic relationships, there doesn’t have to be as much emphasis on lifelong commitment and the seriousness involved. “I think there’s a period of life which is really not meant for that, where you’re supposed to be just sort of hanging out and being friends and not putting that kind of forever pressure on things,” she said. “It’s getting later and later for kids growing up,” Tatum said regarding the average ages when people start thinking and talking about taking their relationships to the next level. Tatum married actress Jenna Dewan when he was 29. “It’s just getting pushed back and back and back, the idea of getting married, which is good. This is Ayesha Niles. She spent her eighteenth birthday in a Miami-Dade County jail on Monday after trying to live out rap lyrics in real life. Via CNN.com An 18-year-old woman who was arrested after nearly 30 pounds of cocaine was found hidden in cake mix boxes in her suitcase will be charged as an adult, according to a Florida state attorney’s office. Ayesha Niles, who lives in London, was traveling from Jamaica to London with a stopover at Miami International Airport on Friday when she went through a routine luggage check. “Twenty-four boxes of cake mix in your luggage,” Ed Griffith, spokesperson Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, told CNN. “It just seemed extremely unusual.” It was unusual enough that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agent sent Niles to the inspection area for a second screening. According to the arrest affidavit the boxes of cake mix contained a total of “+/- 29.30 pounds of powder cocaine.” According to the state attorney’s office the estimated street value of the cocaine in London is $650,000.00. The affidavit says Niles told law enforcement that the boxes were placed in her luggage in Jamaica but she was not aware of what the boxes contained. Niles was arrested on charges of trafficking of cocaine and transporting of a control substance. Niles turned 18-years-old this week and because of her age of majority and the seriousness of the crime the state attorney’s office has filed notice that she will be charged as an adult. Niles, who is still in the juvenile system currently, could not be reached for comment. “This is an extremely serious charge,” Griffith said. “She is looking at minimum mandatory prison time upon a conviction.” If convicted Niles could be sentences up to 15 years in prison for each count. I have a question I want to ask you and your readers particularly the male ones. I am an educated female with a house and car of my own and I’m good at what I do. But what gets to me is a lot of women like myself who are financially independent, are always portrayed in a negative light as if we’re a problem because we’ve seen to it that we get what we want by any means necessary. It hasn’t been easy and true enough it’s a lonely path at times but I’m no that girl who rolls her eyes and toots her nose up at blue collar men. I don’t use what I have a leverage when I’m dating and I don’t judge a man for not having all that I have. I can’t lie it would be nice to date a man who can match what I have, only because we have no where to go but up and when we bring our lives together the transition should be smooth or at least that’s what I believe! That’s not reality though and I’m more than willing to compromise with a man that treats me how I deserve to be treated. That’s not my problem though. Around this time last year, I ended a six year relationship with a man that I believed I was going to marry. When I told him that I didn’t want to waste my time with someone who wasn’t serious about marrying me he told me he wasn’t ready. I was devastated and heartbroken but I bounced back fairly quick because at 31 I’m not getting any younger and six years of my life had already been invested without return and I began to date again. So I started to see this guy and I wasn’t trying to be too serious and keep my options open but as time went on, I stopped calling all the other guys because we were spending most of our time together and I’m really feeling him. To sum it all up….now that it’s gotten warm I’ve noticed he’s gotten distant and out with his boys at night when I’ve grown used to being with him. I wouldn’t even be upset if he hadn’t cancelled plans on me several times! I don’t know what to do or how to get his attention! Is it because it’s Spring and was I a winter fling? So, you dove into the dating game and made the most common mistake we all make and that’s prematurely eliminating your options! This is something you just shouldn’t do without there being a mutual agreement that you are seeing each other exclusively. Otherwise, you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. A lot of times we make the mistake of dropping all other suitors from the roster, thinking we’re showing our seriousness and dedication to the relationship with hopes of the other person doing the same, and from there unfolds a beautiful love affair. Ideally, sure! Realistically, no, it seldom works this way! Okay, sis, here’s another thing that happens often, with women in particular, once you’ve ended a long-term relationship, time suddenly becomes of the essence and you’re racing the clock to meet certain milestones whether it be marriage or starting a family. And you said yourself that you’re “not getting any younger” but you’re 31! What’s the rush? You have plenty of time to meet, marry and start a family with the man of your dreams! He’s out there, but you can’t force or manipulate it into being because your biological clock is ticking! These are the parts of life you can’t plan nor place into some sort of time frame. By all means, your time should never be wasted waiting for someone to come around or turn a new leaf but whomever you decide to take seriously should value your time just as much as his own. Just like you said, it’s an investment. So your question was, “is it because it’s Spring and was I a winter fling?” Unfortunately, sis, you may never know the answer to this question but his actions should definitely help you decide whether or not he’s someone you want to continue to invest your time with. And if you really want to grasp his attention once more, pay him none! Next time he calls you and wants to see you, have plans. Don’t just lie about it either, really have plans to do something – happy hour with the girls, art exhibits, take a good book or journal to the park, maybe some retail therapy. Once you busy yourself, you’ll start to meet and date new people and this guy will become and after thought. And this, my dear, is when you’ll have his attention again,sadly, that’s just the way it is. So don’t spend your Spring being hung up over this guy and the Winter you spent with him.
