As documented below, celebrities from all industries have issued statements of shock and sorrow on social media in light of Sunday night’s shooting in Las Vegas . But we feel as though Ariana Grande deserves to be singled out for a moment. Tragically, the young singer is all too familiar with the sort massacre that took place in Nevada over the weekend, as over 20 concert goers were killed in Manchester this spring toward the end of a Grande performance. Clearly (and understandably) VERY shaken by that incident, the artist penned an open letter shortly after the terrorist act that reads as follows: “I am sorry for the pain and fear that you must be feeling and for the trauma that you, too, must be experiencing. “We will never be able to understand why events like this take place because it is not in our nature, which is why we shouldn’t recoil. We will not quit or operate in fear. “We won’t let this divide us. We won’t let hate win.” Sadly, Grande has now been forced to share a similar statement, after a 64-year old named Stephen Paddock opened fire in Las Vegas on fans at a country music festival. At the latest count, Paddock killed 58 people and injured over 500 others. After committing the deadliest mass shooting in American history, he then took his own life. View Slideshow: Las Vegas Shooting: Celebrities React to Terrorist Attack On Monday, Grande responded to this Las Vegas shooting with grief and with emotion, but also with a call for action. “My heart is breaking for Las Vegas,” she tweeted. “We need love, unity, peace, gun control & for people to look at this & call this what it is = terrorism.” Amen, right? Grande’s manager Scooter Braun also penned a lengthy message to his followers, reflecting on the attack in Vegas while referencing his own memories from Manchester. “I don’t really have words this morning. I am deeply saddened. And as horrifying as it is to say I can’t tell you I’m surprised,” he wrote, adding: “Our greatest challenges are ahead of us. What took place in Las Vegas last night should never happen. What took place in Manchester should never happen. What took place in Charlottesville should never happen. “But they are happening. And ALL of them are terrorist attacks.” Concluded Braun: They all strike fear in our ability to live our lives .They all make us question taking our children, our friends our loved ones to public events that are supposed to bring us joy…in fear of devastation. They are all attacks on our way of life and our way of love. So first let me say my heart breaks for all those affected in Las Vegas. Nothing we do can bring back your loved ones and I am so sorry. For those in the hospital recovering we are with you. Keep fighting. And for all of us..who are we? What will we choose to do in response? Will we just Instagram and move on? It’s been over two months since we first learned that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are divorcing , and it seems like the situation has only gotten uglier by the day. First, Heard accused Depp of assault and even requested an emergency restraining order against the actor (who, curiously, was touring Europe with his band at the time). The situation deteriorated into the worst kind of he-said, she-said situation, and last month, the Depp threatened to sue Heard if she or her lawyers leaked any further details of the case to the press. Sources say the 53-year-old put the price tag at an astonishing $100,000 per infraction. Even so, new information about the couple’s excruciatingly slow divorce somehow continues to emerge. The latest has to do with the profound toll that the case is taking on Depp emotionally. Sources close to the actor say Depp is willing to do whatever it takes to bring an end to the interminable legal proceedings, as the process is beginning to take a serious toll on his mental health. “He feels stressed about all the Amber drama,” one insider tells People magazine. “He never anticipated getting a divorce. He just wants it all to be over and move on. It’s a very sad situation for him.” The source adds that the only thing keeping Depp grounded at the moment is the busy tour schedule of his band, the Hollywood Vampires. “The tour couldn’t have happened at a better time,” the insider says. “He had no choice but to stay focused on his performances.” Between road stints, Depp escapes from L.A. and spends time on his private island in the Bahamas. Yes, when he’s not touring with his rock supergroup, Johnny Depp relaxes on the yacht he keeps just off the coast of his island. Stars – they’re just like us! The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard divorce has been one of the ugliest and most divisive in history. Of course, this is to be expected after the scathing domestic abuse allegations Heard has lodged against Depp. While Heard has accused Depp of physically abusing her on a number of occasions, Depp claims that his ex has conjured up these claims in a play to get more money out of the divorce settlement. In fact, comedian Doug Stanhope, a close friend of Depp’s, accused Heard of blackmailing the actor for a juicy settlement. (Heard has since filed a defamation lawsuit against Stanhope for his allegations.) But sources close to Heard say money is the farthest thing from her mind, according to a new report by TMZ. According to the site, Heard’s top concern is protection from Depp, and that a cash grab is “the lowest priority” in this entire debacle. View Slideshow: 15 Celebs Who Have Been Accused Of Domestic Violence The estranged couple’s legal teams have been negotiating a settlement, with the last offer coming from Depp’s camp. He has offered spousal support of about $50,000 per month for eight months. Heard has not yet responded to the offer, which some assume means she’s holding out for more money. However, sources say the reason she has yet to react to the offer is because it comes with a rider that Heard takes issue with. The offer reportedly includes a mutual restraining order, which Heard will not allow since she was the one subjected to the abuse. Heard has supplied photos of her bruises to the court as well as text messages to Depp’s assistant Stephen Deuters that appear to confirm past instances of abuse. Deuters rushed to his employer’s defense, claiming that he never sent the texts and the screenshots were doctored. Unfortunately for Depp, an expert has authenticated the text messages as real. After days of silence following the announcement that Michael Strahan was leaving Live! With Kelly and Michael , Kelly Ripa now speaks out on whether she will return to the show. The verdict? She’s coming back! Ripa said she will be in her Live! host seat on Tuesday morning, alongside co-host Strahan, reported Us Weekly . Her words came in an e-mail she sent to her staff late Friday night: “Sorry for this late Friday night email. “I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information. “Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. “We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning. “Love, Kelly.” Ripa was reportedly blindsided when she learned that Strahan would be leaving Live! to take on the role of full-time correspondent on Good Morning America . She found out during a meeting with executives after Tuesday morning’s show, just minutes before the news was announced to the public. Reports claim Ripa was furious at the way the situation was handled and felt that ABC was giving priority to GMA . Shocking fans, she failed to show up to work Wednesday morning, leaving Ana Gasteyer to fill in last minute and forcing Strahan to deliver the announcement of his departure without his bubbly co-host. Ripa then took off to Turks and Caicos for a previously planned vacation with her family to celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary. Rumors swirled that Ripa might not return, or that she was refusing to work alongside Strahan, who she once called her “TV husband.” Fans can now rest knowing that the perky blonde will be back to the morning show next week, and we are just giddy anticipating how awkward it’s gonna be. That awkward moment when Prince totally kicks your famous, tremendous ass off stage . Kim Kardashian remembers it. We would never go so far as to say it was one of Prince’s finest moments. I was so star struck I froze! RIP Prince,” Kim wrote. Note that she makes no mention of how she was exiled, even though that’s the one cherished bit the rest of us all remember so fondly. While fans eagerly await to hear an official cause of death ruling on the legendary Prince, Dr. Drew Pinsky is weighing in with his theory. The Celebrity Rehab host believes the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer may have been the victim of an “accidental overdose,” according to The Hollywood Reporter . After news of the singer’s death broke, TMZ reported that Prince had been treated for an overdose to Percoset just six days prior. His plane made an emergency landing and the star was administered a “save shot,” typically given to counteract effects of opiates such as the aforementioned prescription painkiller. Prince had a history of hip problems and was believed to be taking Percoset to relieve symptoms. After the plane incident occurred, reps for the artist told press that Prince had been battling the flu, and his worsening symptoms are what necessitated the landing. Dr. Drew, for one, doesn’t buy it. “They don’t land planes for the flu,” he said. He speculates that Prince had taken a “combination of oral opiates and Benzodiazepines,” which he says is “extraordinarily dangerous.” View Slideshow: Prince: Stars React to the Death of Iconic Singer While perilous, Drew affirms that physicians prescribe the cocktail “all the time.” He goes on to explain that the potentially lethal combo “stops you from breathing and you die.” “It’s easy for that to happen with that combination even as prescribed,” he confirmed. However, Drew postulates that Prince didn’t have a problem with addiction, but that the overdose was likely an accident. “Although opiates figure into this story, it doesn’t really sound like an addiction story,” he said. “Even if it ends up being drugs that caused him to stop breathing, I would put it more in the accident category than the addiction category,” he continued. “But still, an otherwise healthy middle-aged man with hip pain should not be on opiates chronically. Period.” Drew’s statements bring to mind the accidental overdose and death of another music legend, Michael Jackson. in 2011, Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter after administering a fatal dose of Propofol to the late pop star. Could history be repeating itself? We hope not. The idea that another beloved icon who touched so many was taken too early due to a negligent physician saddens and angers us beyond belief.
