Jessica Alba Classes Up The Cleavage

I thought I’d continue today’s trend of hot women in evening gowns looking gorgeous at some fancy party I wasn’t invited to. Here’s Jessica Alba doing her thing for the cameras at some event at Lincoln Center last night. She looks good all dressed up, it’s nice to see her out of the boring mommy uniform she’s always wearing. She’s still got it, she just needs to show it off a little more often. I’m talking about her breasts of course.

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler Make Red Carpet Debut

Let there be no doubt: Klooney lives! While George Clooney and Stacy Keibler were spotted together last month at the Toronto Film Festival , they managed to avoid posing for any photos as a couple, simply meeting at various times for dinners and meetings. But the twosome stepped right into the spotlight over the weekend at the New York City premiere of The Descendants (trailer HERE ), smiling for photographers on the red carpet of The Lincoln Center: Two weeks ago, Clooney and Keibler celebrated the part-time actress and former WWE Diva’s birthday with a vacation in Cabo San Lucas, as Stacy Tweeted: “Chasing the last days of ‘summer.” Keibler might wanna be on the lookout now for female Clooney fans that will soon be chasing her. David Cronenberg, Michael Fassbender Bring Their Dangerous Method to NYFF

Hines Ward, Witnesses Question DUI Arrest

Hines Ward is one of the most upstanding citizens in the NFL, making the news of his DUI arrest shocking for all who follow the league. But the wide receiver’s rep the “preliminary investigation” makes him “confident that the facts will show that Hines was NOT impaired by alcohol while driving,” while those who actually saw the Dancing with the Stars champion out that night concur. A waiter at the Bucket Bottle, an establishment Ward frequented Friday night, said the All-Pro was there for a few hours, but only downed a couple drink. He told TMZ Ward was very nice and didn’t appear inebriated. A waitress at Oasis, another bar Ward stopped at, echoed this image of the Steeler only have a drink or two and scarcely causing a scene. Of course, a sobriety test says a lot more than two anonymous employees. So we’ll update this story when more hard evidence is revealed.

‘Black August’ Screening Draws Chris Rock, Talib Kweli, More

Veteran journalist Dream Hampton spotlights benefit concert for political prisoners. By Jayson Rodriguez Talib Kweli (file) Photo: Al Pereira/WireImage NEW YORK — Chris Rock, Talib Kweli and Dead Prez’s M-1 were among the attendees of veteran journalist Dream Hampton’s screening Thursday night for her documentary “Black August: A Hip-Hop Benefit Concert.” The event, held at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater, showcased the yearly tribute concert that has hosted performers such as Erykah Badu , Mos Def, Common, Dead Prez and David Banner in New York and South Africa. In her film , Hampton features concert footage and interviews with a slew of activists. The Malcolm X Grassroots Movement in Brooklyn powers the concerts each year, and in her doc, Hampton seeks to spotlight issues like police brutality and racial injustice. The concert series and the film seek to address awareness about political prisoners, including Mutulu Shakur, the stepfather of late rap star Tupac Shakur. “I think the cause of political prisoners in the hip-hop community wouldn’t be as relevant in the hip-hop community as it is if it wasn’t for [the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement],” Kweli says in the film. “And it certainly has a long way to go from 10 years ago, and I think it’s more relevant. The bridges that we build in South Africa and Cuba are important. Every year, the show is bigger and better and grander.” Hampton, who has written about hip-hop and culture for The Source and Vibe magazines, among other publications, has labored over the project for years and is finally set to release the project by the end of the year. The event was sponsored by ImageNation and hosted by M-1. Are you looking forward to the Black August film? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Talib Kweli

Michael Douglas To Undergo Treatment For Throat Tumor

‘I am very optimistic,’ Douglas says in a statement. By Kara Warner Michael Douglas Photo: MTV News Michael Douglas is set to begin chemotherapy after doctors recently discovered a tumor in his throat. People magazine reports that the “Wall Street” actor’s doctors expect Douglas to make a full recovery as soon as he completes eight weeks of treatment, which will reportedly include a combination of radiation and chemotherapy. “I am very optimistic,” Douglas said in a statement to the magazine. No word yet on how the treatment will affect his work schedule, as Douglas has a lot on his plate, including promotion for his return to the character Gordon Gekko in “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” which opens at the end of September. Douglas is also set to appear alongside a slew of stars in Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming action thriller “Knockout.” The cast includes Ewan McGregor, Michael Fassbender, Michael Angarano, Channing Tatum, Antonio Banderas and Bill Paxton. When MTV News last caught up with the 65-year-old actor, he appeared happy and healthy at the Film Society of Lincoln Center Honors, where he received the year’s top honor, presented to Hollywood legends. At the time, Douglas was hard-pressed to pick his favorite role from his four-decade-long career in the business. “You work as hard on your failures as on your successes,” he said. “I’d say tonight, particularly because [director] Curtis [Hanson] is here, I liked ‘Wonder Boys’ a lot. ‘Solitary Man’ is right up there. I’m real happy with my batting average. I look at the rest, and it’s pretty good. You pick your spots.” Share your well-wishes for Michael Douglas and his family in the comments.

Big Brother Repulsion Index: The Lost Ballad of Brenchel

With Rachel gone , Brendon launched a suicide mission to avenge his beloved’s eviction from the Big Brother house. This meant winning a knotty challenge, shouting “This is for you, Rach” into his mic every 30 seconds, earning the nickname “canklesaurus rex” from Britney and making idiotic decisions that his lost lover would have approved of. With that in mind, let’s hit last night’s Repulsion Index.
