We're officially in the homestretch for Game of Thrones Season 6, and if even one of the fan theories about the upcoming episodes is accurate, we should be in for quite the finale. Folks are predicting the deaths of hated villains, and unexpected returns for characters long thought dead . (Why not? We already had one of those on last week's episode !) Clearly, anything goes in this post-book world we're living in, so we'll limit our speculation to Sunday's episode, “No One.” Tyrion will return after a two week hiatus, and he'll look vaguely troubled about something. Call us psychic! Watch Game of Thrones online to get caught up in time for the beginning of what's sure to be thrilling end. 1. Troubled Tyrion Tyrion looks less than thrilled in this photo. And he’s one of the characters who’s actually managed to improve his situation this season! 2. Jaime in a Jam Looks like a bad week for the Lannisters. Jaime seems vaguely pissed too. Of course, he has to deal with the Freys and Brynden Tully, so we can’t really blame him. 3. Cersei and The Mountain Cersei has the undead Mountain as her protector. So she has reason to smile – just don’t expect her to do so. 4. Tommen on the Iron Throne Looks like we’re in for lots of Lannister angst this week. Sure, Tommen’s on the Iron Throne, but heavy is the head that wears the crown, as they say. 5. It’s Lancel Lannister! Did we mention that this appears to be a Lannister-heavy episode? Sure, he’s “Brother Lancel” these days, but deep down, he’s still a Lannister. 6. Another Red Priestess! They’re everywhere these days! This one doesn’t have a name yet, but she’s played by actress Melanie Liburd. View Slideshow

Black College Student Finds Racial Slurs All Over Apartment A Black co-ed at Texas A&M Corpus Christi came home from spring break to find disgusting racial slurs written all over her apartment. What the hell??!? Via KRIS TV reports: The African American female found threatening racial slurs written all over her apartment. Corpus Christi Police Chief Floyd Simpson called a sudden news conference Monday to discuss the findings. He made it very clear that part of the reason for calling the news conference is the number of similar cases involving racism happening across the country right now, including several at other college campuses. Simpson hoped to bring this case to the public as a way of talking about it and also finding those responsible. Photos from inside the apartment show an image of a person being hanged and reads “White Power. We’re coming for you”. Another says, “Die (n-word). Where is your protector? White Power”. Several of the messages also include misspelled words or bad grammar, not the type of writing expected from a college student. “I think the community ought to be hurt by this. I think that we all ought to take it very seriously,” said Simpson. The Islander Village complex on Alameda is gated and appears to have security cameras, but the student who found the messages left town for Spring Break, so it’s unclear exactly when the break-in happened. Other students at the complex and on campus can’t believe it happened here. Racism and inequality doesn’t stop just because you enter a college campus….

Wait. We thought they had their whole political situation situated? But apparently, the people of Egypt are no more able to express their disapproval of the government then they were before kicking out that shady Mubarak character. Egypt’s military sought to isolate pro-democracy activists protesting against their rule, depicting them as conspirators and vandals, as troops and protesters clashed for a third straight day, pelting each other with stones near parliament in the heart of the capital. At least 10 protesters have been killed and 441 others wounded in the three days of violence, according to the Health Ministry. Activists say most of the 10 fatalities died of gunshot wounds. The fighting, sparked when troops sought to break up a sit-in outside the Cabinet headquarters, has seen a particularly heavy hand by the military. Military police have been shown in video footage dragging women by the hair, even stripping the shirt off one veiled woman, and ferociously beating, kicking and stomping on protesters cowering on the ground. Still, the protesters’ numbers have remained smaller than earlier rallies — suggesting even anger over the disturbing images was not drawing the broader Egyptian public into a confrontation with the military, which activists behind the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak’s autocratic regime 10 months ago accuse of mismanaging the transition period and committing human rights abuses. In a statement posted on its Facebook page, the ruling military council on Sunday called the clashes part of a “conspiracy” against Egypt. It said its forces had the right to defend the “property of the great people of Egypt.” Seeking to depict the protesters as hooligans — and apparently to counter the widely published images of protesters being beaten — it also posted on the page footage of young men throwing rocks at a basement window of the parliament building and of at least one man trying to set the place ablaze. The ruling generals have taken advantage of the growing frustration of many Egyptians over worsening economic hardships and tenuous security, blaming demonstrations, strikes and sit-ins for their predicament. The tactic, coupled with the military’s efforts to stain the reputation of the youth groups behind Mubarak’s ouster, appears to have worked. The military has been using the state media and loyal private TV stations to project an image of itself as the protector of the nation and filling its public statements with patriotism and grave warnings of a dire future if political turmoil persisted. Protest leaders increasingly complain that they feel isolated in a society that has grown more concerned with making ends meet than political rights. Hunger does seem to be the strongest motivator of them all. Do you think this would ever happen here in the US? Source

We break down what we know so far about the return to Gotham City — and take a stab at some lingering questions. By Eric Ditzian and Josh Wigler Christian Bale in the teaser trailer for “Dark Knight Rises” Photo: Warner Bros. The “Dark Knight Rises” teaser trailer flickered across movie screens over the weekend, and then popped up online Monday afternoon. It features so many elusive references and inspired so much we-can’t-wait-until-the-2012-theatrical-release anticipation that we’re still talking about it today. So the MTV Movies team settled in for a detailed breakdown of what’s been unveiled, the new questions raised, and what the whole thing tells us about next year’s cinematic return to Gotham City. Batman, Where It All Began Director Christopher Nolan has spoken openly about how this film will bring his Caped Crusader trilogy to a conclusion, closing the narrative loop that kicked off with 2005’s “Batman Begins.” In that sense, it’s appropriate the trailer starts with footage (and voiceover, courtesy of Liam Neeson’s Ra’s Al Ghul ) from the original film. We also see Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne here as a man on a mission, very much an outcast from society and attempting to rediscover his true self. That’s quite to similar to the way we might find him at the start of “Dark Knight Rises” — Batman shunned from Gotham City after his battle with the Joker in “Dark Knight.” Beyond this thematic and visual connection, the early trailer footage indicates that the League of Shadows — the crew of martial arts badasses who trained Wayne before coming to battle him — will in fact play a key role in the new film. Where it gets interesting is that Ra’s Al Ghul apparently died in “Batman Begins,” but Neeson was reportedly spotted on the “Dark Knight Rises” set and is featured prominently, at least in voice, in the trailer. Very interesting … Commissioner Desperation Jim Gordon, it’s safe to say, has seen better days, which is saying lot, considering how much crap he’s been through in the last two films. The commissioner has been shot and had to fake his own death, but none of that compares to his plight here: curled up in a hospital bed, sucking on an oxygen mask and praying that the Batman will return from exile. Gordon has suffered some sort of beatdown, but why and from whom? The implication of what he’s saying is that Gotham City is in trouble. We’ve seen in the teaser poster and through this trailer that the urban environment is literally crumbling to the ground. Desperation, both emotional and physical, seems to be the theme of the trailer — a stark contrast to the hopeful tone of the title, “Dark Knight Rises.” Gordon here is begging Wayne to rise again; when and why he does remains to be seen. The Caped Quitter As we’ve already mentioned, Batman quits his role as the protector of Gotham City at the end of “Dark Knight.” This scene of Wayne doing push-ups, which comes from “Batman Begins,” is another flashback to a character attempting to rebuild (or create out of whole cloth) a new self. We’ll greet Batman in “Dark Knight Rises” as a man without a legacy, without a rock-solid reputation, a superhero who has to start from the ground up. That’s not going to be easy. Thus, in this context, this scene almost seems like it’s part of Wayne’s “Rocky”-esque training sequence. That, or an outtake from “The Prestige.” Facing Bane We’ve seen a glimpse of Tom Hardy’s Bane in a sneak-peek photo , but this is the first time we’re seeing his face. While Bane’s look is related to his comic-book roots, Nolan once again has shown a willingness to update these iconic visuals; Bane’s mask is far more S&M badass than the luchador -like villain from the comics. Yet it’s only the briefest of looks, speaking to Nolan’s deft touch with teasers: Fans are forced to watch the trailer again and again, pausing and rewinding as we seek to study this key bad guy. Listen to That Crowd As the trailer wraps up, we hear some ominous chanting. These are sounds we’ve heard since the beginning of the “Dark Knight Rises” promotional campaign in a viral video. The chanting sounds cultish and foreign and scary; put another way, it sounds like the handiwork of the League of Shadows. We’re likely to hear more of that chanting in the months before release, and we’ll hear a heck of a lot of it in the movie itself. The question remains: How does Bane fit into the League of Shadows-heavy story line? How does that baddie come to blows with Batman, as we see toward the end of the trailer? That last shot of the two men facing off has the feel of a boxing match, the scene caught by a handheld camera, Batman bouncing up and down like he’s in the ring. Noteworthy in that shot, as well, is a mysterious character in the upper right hand corner: Who is that and why would Nolan include him or her in the trailer? “Dark Knight Rises” detectives out there, it’s time to get to work!
