Clint Eastwood on American Sniper Critics: They’re Right!

Well, this is unexpected. In case you’re somehow unaware, the new Clint Eastwood-Bradley Cooper film American Sniper is a massive hit with audiences, but its also drawn a good deal of criticism, in part because large portions of Chris Kyle’s memoirs – on which the film was based – are believed to be fabricated. Michael Moore referred to snipers as cowards and is still subjected to daily Twitter hate as a result. Seth Rogen compared the film to Nazi propaganda and the actor received swift and immediate backlash. Eastwood has been largely silent on the subject, so it was somewhat surprising when he decided to offer his two cents to a TMZ cameraman last night. It’s really surprising when you hear what he had to say: Clint Eastwood Talks American Sniper Yes, Squinty Clint seems to agree with those who have claimed that the film is not without its problematic elements. It’s possible that Eastwood just misunderstood the question, but it’s equally possible that he meant what he said, and that his film is being used to support political ideologies with which he doesn’t agree. Anyone who’s seen at the RNC knows that Clint is a card-carrying Republican, but he’s generally moderate and often left-leaning in his politics. Eastwood has been openly critical of the wars in both Iraq and Afghanistan, and though he’s clearly a supporter of the troops, it’s not surprising that he might object to some warhawks finding a message in Sniper that’s not really there. Or, it could be that he acknowledges that Kyle made some questionable claims in his autobiography and you’re not necessarily disparaging an American hero if you point out that Kyle didn’t really snipe looters after Katrina or beat up Governor Jesse Ventura. Or maybe Clint’s just defending the right of his critics to openly express their thoughts on his film. After all, Clint is pretty much the quintessential American, and what’s more American than freedom of speech? Then again, this is the same  Eastwood that threatened to kill Michael Moore , so there might be something to that “didn’t understand the question” theory. Debut Roles of 2015 Oscar Nominees 1. Johnny Cash Love Letter Voted Greatest of All Time: Read It and Weep!

When you hear the name Johnny Cash, you probably think of the rugged, gravel-voiced Man in Black who was as well-known for his hard-partying ways as for his timeless contributions to the world of country music. But apparently, beneath that rough exterior beat the heart of a true romantic, because when Cash wasn’t penning tunes about shooting men just to watch them die, he was composing love letters that would make the badass inmate at Folsom get a little misty. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a British insurance company commissioned a poll to determine the greatest love letter of all time.  Despite some stiff competition from the likes of poet John Keats and Henry VIII (?!), Cash came out on top with this mash note for his wife June Carter Cash, written on her birthday in 1994: If it just got a little too dusty in here for you to make out the text, here’s what Cash had to say to his longtime love: “We get old and we get used to each other. We think alike. We read each others minds. We know what the other wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. Maybe we sometimes take each other for granted. “But once in a while, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met. You still fascinate and inspire me. You influence me for the better. You’re the object of my desire, the #1 Earthly reason for my existence. I love you very much.” Yeah, feel free to crib that one word-for-word if you’re at a loss for what to scribble in your last-minute Hallmark card, fellas. Makes Michael Jordan’s love letters sound like the lunatic ramblings of a man driven to insanity by the thought that he might one day own the Charlotte Bobcats. The 2005 film Walk the Line  memorably depicted June and Johnny’s romance, but this letter gives us a sense of what really kept the First Couple of Country Music united throughout their many ups and downs. So steal from Mr. Cash, if you can. Whatever you do, don’t take any cues from the unbelievably awkward Valentine’s Day cards in the gallery below: 17 Awkwardest Valentine’s Day Cards 1. The Voice Season 7 Episode 20 Recap: Who Ruled the Top 10?

The Voice Season 7 Episode 20 saw the remaining ten singers vie for America’s votes once more as this fall’s iteration of the NBC competition winds down. Only eight spots remain on tonight’s results show, so it’s crunch time. Did any of the 10 aspiring stars still standing begin to separate themselves from the field? Did any of them underachieve to the point where they’re in danger? Let’s break down all of the performances from Monday night … The Voice Season 7: Top 10 Performances 1. Craig Wayne Boyd – I Walk the Line (The Voice Top 10) Craig Wayne Boyd makes his bid for the Top 8 with a cover of Johnny Cash’s “I Walk the Line.” For the first time in the series, the teams were treated to guest mentors during a live round: Patrick Stump, Christina Aguilera, Colbie Caillat, and Diana Ross! Also legendary producer Clive Davis was on hand to assist. What could they coax out of the ten stars in training? Craig Wayne Boyd (Team Blake) : With a cover of Johnny Cash’s hit “Walk the Line,” he earned a standing ovation with his authenticity, talent and charisma. Matt McAndrew (Team Adam) : He took on Coldplay’s “Fix You” with an upper range that gave Gwen (and probably a few others) the chills in a big way. Anita Antoinette (Team Gwen) : Performing a reggae rendition of Passenger’s “Let Her Go,” with some Aguilera style runs, this one was a big success. Damien (Team Adam) : His take on Stevie Wonder’s “You and I,” won endless praise from Pharrell, and the crowd seemed to get totally into it as it went on. Reagan James (Team Blake) : This rendition of Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” was the most unique effort of the night and one of her best this season thus far. Luke Wade (Team Pharrell) : Seeking to redeem himself on Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness,” he appeared to right the ship and then some Monday. Ryan Sill (Team Gwen) : On Muse’s “Starlight,” he took Aguilera’s advice to deviate from the original, and is among the most improved of the Top 10. Is that enough? DaNica Shirey (Team Pharrell) : Bold as it was to even attempt Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing,” in front of Clive Davis, she won plaudits and praise galore. Taylor John Williams (Team Gwen) : Rocking out to The Beatles’ “Come Together,” his stage presence was the main takeaway from this strong performance. Chris Jamison (Team Adam) : Singing Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” he showed strong rhythmic ability and his comfort with the entire stage. What do you think? Who among The Voice Top 10 should advance to the Top 8 on the results show tonight? Hit the comments below and let us know!

Justin Timberlake Channels Michael Jackson in Concert: Watch!

Kicking off the western leg of his “The 20/20 Experience” tour at Staples Center in L.A., Justin Timberlake busted out Michael Jackson’s hit “Human Nature.” Of course, Justin performed a deluge of his own smash hits, including “My Love,” “Holy Grail” and “Sexy Back,” but the MJ tribute was an instant smash. Here’s a brief clip, courtesy of Instagram, of the reaction: Justin Timberlake Covers Michael Jackson Celebs including Matt Damon, Amy Adams and Justin’s former Lance Bass (with his special “friends and family” VIP pass) packed the house for the show. No NSYNC reunion on stage this time, unfortunately. Undoubtedly influenced by Michael like so many artists, Timberlake undoubtedly would’ve made Jackson proud by riffing on one of his best songs live.

Amber Heard Hot Bitch in a Hot Car of the Day

Sure these pictutres of Amber Heard aren’t some dominatrix inspired shit in a fashion mag, or some bikini scenes from Rum Diaries, where she looked amazing the entire time…and maybe seeing a bitch in a not so revealing outfits not something you can jerk off to…but for some of you who like cars, and the bitches who drive them, I figured these would be pornographic enough for you….. I mean talk about spending her celebrity money wisely, I’m tired of seeing famous bitches with millions in the bank driving 15,000 dollar environment friendly shit boxes…. I like seeing some power under the foot of some slut I want to fuck despite her claims of being lesbian….or did she say bi….who knows, we’ll have to ask her publicist since that’s what I think that was all about…getting noticed and it worked…. Look at her now…

Katy Perry New Geriatric Fetish Video of the Day

I can’t stand Katy Perry…anyone who reads this site knows that she’s a hack who basically found a bullshit song that doesn’t require being sang that was controversial enough and cheesy enough to talk to little girls everywhere making her this success…despite being barely hot, defintely dumpy, but busty enough that with enough marketing, she could carry herself into some realm of being labeled hot….despite being awkward in the way she moved and the way she’s built…. But here’s her new video that dropped today of her looking her best, all old as fuck,so that her we can accept her ugliness, cuz when a bitch is elderly, you don’t expect beauty and you don’t have to focus on her acne and everything else wrong with her, you accept her fat ass, and sloppy body cuz you’re only in it for the baked goods….and the impending, hopefully sooner than later death…. Either way, here’s her new video that exploits some emotions, taps into some lost love, in some cheesy shit that feeds into the scam that is her….But more offensive is that they play some Johnny Cash at theend…which annoys me more than anything about this smutty drivel crap that pollutes our life…cuz as a devout Johnny Cash fan, this should have never happened….we get it Katy Perry you’re a fucking LA Hipster…now kill yourself.

Paul Wall, Baby Bash Arrested For Drug Possession

‘Fresh out the El Paso County jail wit @Babybash @Biggroy, in the same tank they held Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash,’ Wall tweeted following his release. By Gil Kaufman Paul Wall Photo: FilmMagic Rappers Paul Wall (born Paul Michael Slayton) and Baby Bash (Ronald Ray Bryant) were arrested in El Paso, Texas, early Sunday morning on suspicion of possession of less than two ounces of marijuana. The pair, who were in town to perform at the Summer Jamm 2011 show on Saturday, were released on Sunday afternoon after each posted a $300 bond, according to the El Paso Times . Wall announced the arrest on his Twitter account, writing, “fresh out the El Paso County jail wit @Babybash @Biggroy, in the same tank they held Willie Nelson/Johnny Cash,” accompanied by a photo of him in the back of a police car with Bash, who is in handcuffs. The arrest occurred in what was described in press accounts as a “drug-free” zone, a detail that was explained in a subsequent Facebook post from Bash. While Wall, 30, seemed to have a good sense of humor about the incident, Bash, 41, was a bit more heated in his Twitter response. “Ain’t 2much worse than a ” HOE ASS PUNK EL PASO COP that abuses his authority, just cuz me and Paul Wall are artists! Only GEEKS and fools who don’t have any spine abuses Authority! But I’m back in the FLESH feelin’ so FRESH, out the tank mang!” He quickly clarified , though, that he was not lashing out at cops over the arrest. “I’m not here to diss ALL police, they have a tuff gig and I respect that! BUT u have the ONE or TWO that will disrespect & abuse the power cuz maybe they got picked on in high school a lot and now have a chip on their shoulder, and that’s exactly wut happened to us, all we did was SMELL like weed and wen he couldn’t find it and we didn’t snitch on who sparked it, he got overdramatic and took us in! He found out who we were and really got big shot on us! Haha even his partner said he’s a di–.” Bash continued , claiming that bail was low because the judge “knew it was a bogus call.” He said the pals admitted in court that they had smoked earlier, which is why they “smelled like tree,” but that they didn’t have any marijuana on them at the time of the arrest. “That made him [the officer] mad cuz he thought RAPPER must have large amount!” A spokesperson for the El Paso Police Department was not available for comment at press time.
