Deplorable, deranged Dorito announced that he’s declaring a national emergency to fund his border wall. The ever so musty MAGA made the announcement today to the press in the Rose Garden. According to Cheeto, it’s absolutely necessary for him to use around $8 billion (what happened to the $5.7 billion?) to build a wall to stop the flow of “drugs, criminals and illegal immigrants” that are an impending threat to national security. He added that we’re facing an “invasion” and praised China’s decision put fentanyl on the list of drugs punishable by the death penalty. The New York Times reports that he’ll divert $3.6 billion budgeted for military construction projects to the border wall along with $2.5 billion from counternarcotics programs and $600 million from a Treasury Department asset forfeiture fund. House Democrats are already planning to introduce legislation to block this move. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said they “will defend our constitutional authorities in the Congress, in the Courts and in the public, using every remedy available.” “The President’s emergency declaration, if unchecked, would fundamentally alter the balance of powers, inconsistent with our Founders’ vision. … The President is not above the law. White Privilege: University Of North Dakota Students Go Unpunished For “Free Speech” Display Of Blackface On Snapchat

Add University of North Dakota to the list of colleges to never send your black sons and daughters to EVER… According to Star Tribune reports : University of North Dakota officials announced late Wednesday that they concluded an investigation into two racially charged Snapchat photos and that they have decided not to punish the students involved. “After a full review of the information, the Code of Student Life and the laws pertaining to each incident, and after consulting with general counsel, [the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities] has concluded that neither incident constitutes a violation of the UND Code of Student Life,” the school wrote in a statement. The outcome was “driven by the Constitutional protection of free speech,” but officials wouldn’t disclose details of their findings. SMH… Free Speech? And not a violation of the UND Code of Student Life? So we guess there are no rules in the Code of Student Life about not being a racist bigots who treat innocent people with zero regard. Both incidents happened on Snapchat in September, just days apart. The first involved three students who allegedly locked a black student out of a dorm and took a picture on her phone with the caption, “locked the black b**ch out.” And the second showed four students posing in blackface with the caption “Black lives matter.” “As part of the conversation with student leaders, we talked about the concept of zero tolerance,” UND President Mark Kennedy said in a statement released following the investigation. “While I appreciate the desire for such a policy, it is unachievable under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.” Kennedy said that he was aware that students and other members of the community were hurt by the incidents and that he personally was “appalled” by the photos. At least somebody is appalled at that school. We don’t understand how the damn school President can be APPALLED and want a zero tolerance policy. Pretty sure plenty of other schools don’t let Free Speech get in the way of acting a damn fool. Snapchat

President Obama Says Kaepernick’s Protest Shows Concern For “Legitimate Issues” Colin Kaepernick has been taking heat from fellow ballers, celebs, and gang of Twitter-fingery goons. However, when you have the support of the most powerful man in the world, who gives a f**k about a hater? Via DailyMail President Obama appeared to back NFL star Colin Kaepernick’s silent national anthem protest on Monday as he told a G20 press conference he understands the NFL star’s motivation. While speaking after the G20 Summit in Hangzhou, China, the president said that the 49ers quarterback is ‘exercising his constitutional right’ by not standing during the national anthem for his team’s preseason games in protest against racial injustice in the country. Here’ some of what Barry-O had to say: ‘My understanding is that he’s exercising his constitutional right to make a statement,’ Obama said in response to what the NFL player is doing. ‘There’s a long history of sports figures doing so, I think there are a lot of ways you can do it. ‘As a general matter, when it comes to the flag and the national anthem and the meaning that that holds for the men and women in uniform and those who’ve fought for us, that is a tough thing for them to get past to then hear what his deeper concerns are. ‘I think he cares about some real legitimate issues that have to be talked about,’ Obama said. ‘He’s generated more conversation around some topics that have to be talked about. Phil Robertson disrespected the gay employees at A&E, and that’s ultimately what got the star suspended from Duck Dynasty, according to a new report. The 67-year-old Robertson family patriarch’s suspension has become a polarizing topic this week, and now TMZ has insight into how it all went down. Why would the network suspend one of its most popular personalities when it knew the backlash it would get for it from fans and certain pundits? A&E CEO Nancy Dubuc felt she could not in good conscience ask the network’s gay employees to kill themselves for the show after Phil’s comments. When Robertson disrespected them by calling all gays sinners, and rather coarsely at that, in his recent interview with GQ , Dubuc felt she had no choice. A number of gay employees involved in the production of Duck Dynasty were outraged by Phil’s comments to GQ and wanted Dubuc to take action . The CEO felt that If Robertson had made similar comments about African Americans or Jews, the public outcry for his firing would’ve been immense. Long story short, she felt it was wrong not to react similarly because his comments were directed at gays, of whom she employs more than a few. Gay rights groups such as GLAAD was heavily involved in lobbying for the suspension of Phil Robertson , and they had an impact on A&E as well. Robertson was placed on “indefinite” suspension from the show mid-week. The Duck Dynasty cast has responded to the controversy, expressing disappointment and implying that the show won’t go on without their patriarch. Duck Dynasty Cast Issues Statement, Stands By Phil Robertson Phil Robertson Sermon As for criticism that A&E knew what it was getting into with Phil when they hired him – see this sermon video from 2010 (above) – a source explained: “He just took it too far with GQ … especially with the coarse language.” It certainly was harsh. Though Phil later said in a statement that he loves all of humanity and does not judge, his initial quotes did not give that impression. Regarding Phil’s religious views – the explanation for his comments – A&E is adamant that this has suspension has nothing to do with being “anti-religion.” Many critics alleged this, along with claiming that his constitutional rights have been violated. But in truth, the network runs lots of religious programming. Perhaps most notably, A&E is the home of Mark Burnett’s The Bible . The CEO is paying the price for her actions and has been receiving death threats. The status of Robertson and the show remains unclear at this time. He hasn’t been outright fired and the show hasn’t been canceled, and it’s unclear if production was even underway on new episodes at the time. In the Duck Dynasty Season 5 sneak peek (January 15), Phil is prominently featured, and there are several marathons of repeats on this month. Clearly, the network isn’t cutting ties with Phil yet, but they’re most likely weighing their options and speaking with the family about how to proceed. This is crazy . White Couple Sets Black Neighbors’ House On Fire It’s so sad and pathetic that these racist incidents are still taking place in 2013. According to The NY Daily News Not everyone in America has the same dream. A Missouri couple pleaded guilty on Wednesday to violating the civil rights of their African-American neighbors by setting fire to the family’s home in Independence with a Molotov cocktail and writing Nazi slogans and swastikas on the driveway. Logan J. Smith, 25, and Victoria A. Cheek-Herrera, 34, admitted to conspiring to commit what prosecutors called the “racially motivated” crimes. “By pleading guilty, Smith and Cheek-Herrera admitted that on June 26, 2008, they conspired to injure, oppress, threaten, and intimidate an African-American couple and their minor children in the free exercise of their constitutional rights to occupy and rent their home in Independence, because of their race and color,” the Kansas City division of the FBI said in a statement. In court, Smith admitted drawing swastikas and “White Power” on the family’s driveway before filling a bottle with gasoline, inserting a rag, lighting the fire bomb and tossing it at the home. During the attack, Smith also admitted to donning a swastika on his forehead and shouting “Heil Hitler.” “You’re pleading guilty because you are guilty, is that correct?” U.S. District Judge Brian Wimes asked the defendant. “Yes, sir,” Smith responded. Smith and Cheek-Herrera each face a maximum penalty of 20 years and fines of up to $500,000. Throw their azzes underneath the jail.

Harry Belafonte Says Blacks Should Be Outraged With Gun Control The debate over gun control has been red-hot in America ever since the Sandy Hook school shooting back in December . In the wake of the unconscionable tragedy, the national spotlight shined bright on the issue of gun control and ways to make the country safer. According to Harry Belafonte , the group that suffers the most from gun violence are young African-American children. However, the national media attention fails to reflect how shootings have affected our communities, like the city of Chicago . During his acceptance speech of NAACP’s highest honor, The Springard Medal, Belafonte took time out to push his agenda.
