#HarleyBarber: Clotted Cream Co-Ed Apologizes After She’s Expelled For Her Racist Rant

This is Harley Barber. Harley Barber is AΦ and thinks that she can throw around the N word and not be held accountable for her actions. @UofAlabama let’s prove her wrong. Racism and Bigotry will not and can not be tolerated. Period. pic.twitter.com/oKp8KlNMfo — Brittney K (@_thebrittneyk) January 16, 2018 Harley Barber Expelled Don’t be sorry now, stupid. That’s the message that’s being sent to Harley Barber, a University of Alabama student whose racist rant went viral. As previously reported the audacious Alpha Phi sorority member posted several videos calling black people “n***rs” and adding that she can drop the N-word freely because she’s in the south. “We do not waste water,” said Barber in a video of herself turning off a water faucet. “We don’t waste water because of people in Syria. I love how I act like I love black people because I f–king hate n—–s. So, that’s really interesting — I f—king hate n—–s, but I just saved the f–king n—–s by shutting that water off.” She later added this in another video after receiving backlash; ““I’ve wanted to be in Alpha Phi since f–king high school and nobody f—king understands how much I love Alpha Phi,” Barber says, staring directly at the camera. “And now someone wants to save my finsta because I said n—-r? You know what? N—-r, n—-r, n—-r. I don’t care if it’s Martin Luther King Day.” Watch ya clotted cream mouth beyotch. The New Jersey native has now been expelled from Alabama and she’s apologizing for being a rancid racist in an interview with The New York Post. “I did something really, really bad,” Barber told The Post. “I don’t know what to do and I feel horrible. I’m wrong and there’s just no excuse for what I did.” Asked if she considered the advice from one of her friends who suggested that Barber not post the videos, Barber replied: “No, I’m an idiot. There’s no excuse. I did something really bad.” See what happens when you’re a wasted dollop of dumpster mayo??? Harley Barber is an example of how your right to free speech does not protect you from the repercussions of said speech. — Monique Judge (@thejournalista) January 17, 2018 What do YOU think about Harley Barber getting expelled???

Terry Crews Describes Alleged Sexual Assault By Male Hollywood Exec: ‘To The Casualties Of This Behavior, You Are Not Alone’

More:

Source: TIBRINA HOBSON / Getty While Harvey Weinstein’ s case has percolated through Hollywood like a rocket, Black Hollywood has remained relatively mum regarding the issue. But “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star Terry Crews came forward on Tuesday afternoon in a series of 16 tweets describing a 2016 incident where he was groped by an unnamed Hollywood executive at an industry party in front of his wife  Rebecca . Crews does not name the perpetrator, but underscores that he understands the severity of why many women remain silent when they experience sexual assault and harassment. He also touches on why race and the possible loss of job opportunities was a major factor that prevented him from coming forward. This whole thing with Harvey Weinstein is giving me PTSD. Why? Because this kind of thing happened to ME. (1/Cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 My wife n I were at a Hollywood function last year n a high level Hollywood executive came over 2 me and groped my privates. (2/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 Jumping back I said What are you doing?! My wife saw everything n we looked at him like he was crazy. He just grinned like a jerk. (3/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 I was going to kick his ass right then— but I thought twice about how the whole thing would appear. (4/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 “240 lbs. Black Man stomps out Hollywood Honcho” would be the headline the next day. (5/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 Only I probably wouldn’t have been able to read it because I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN JAIL. So we left. (6/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 That night and the next day I talked to everyone I knew that worked with him about what happened. (7/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 He called me the next day with an apology but never really explained why he did what he did. (8/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 I decided not 2 take it further becuz I didn’t want 2b ostracized— par 4 the course when the predator has power n influence. (9/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 I let it go. And I understand why many women who this happens to let it go. (10/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 Who’s going 2 believe you? ( few) What r the repercussions?(many) Do u want 2 work again? (Yes) R you prepared 2b ostracized?(No)(11/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 I love what I do. But it’s a shame and the height of disappointment when someone tries to takes advantage of that. (12/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 He knows who he is. But sumtimes Uhav2 wait & compare notes w/ others who’ve been victimized in order 2gain a position of strength. (13cont) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 I understand and empathize with those who have remained silent. But Harvey Weinstein is not the only perpetrator. (14/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 Hollywood is not the only business we’re this happens, and to the casualties of this behavior— you are not alone. (15/cont.) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 Hopefully, me coming forward with my story will deter a predator and encourage someone who feels hopeless. (16/end) — terrycrews (@terrycrews) October 10, 2017 Several notable Hollywood celebrities have come forward in light of the of the explosive allegations regarding years of alleged abuse at the hands of Weinstein. To date, several leading ladies including Angelina Jolie , Gwyneth Paltrow, Rose McGowan and numerous others, have all come forward to describe their reported experiences with Weinstein. In the days following, other notables like Meryl Streep condemned Weinstein after The New York Times published the exclusive report on Thursday. For Discussion: Should Sergi-Ho “I Wanna Serve Tiger Woods Fried Chicken” Garcia Be Dropped By TaylorMade-Adidas For Racist Comments?

Reebok dropped Rick Ross over rap lyrics , should Sergio Garcia’s dumbazz comments cost him a $5 milli a year endorsement deal with TaylorMade-Adidas? Via NYPost reports : A contrite Sergio Garcia sat before reporters in a hastily convened press conference yesterday in England and issued a public apology for racially insensitive comments he made about Tiger Woods at a European Tour awards dinner the night before. Garcia, whose feud with Woods became highly public and seemed to reach a boiling point two weeks ago when they clashed at The Players Championship, was jokingly asked at the dinner if he would invite Woods for dinner during the U.S. Open. In an attempt to deliver a funny response, Garcia said, “We will have him ’round every night. We will serve fried chicken.” The remark ignited a firestorm because of its racist connotations and led to Garcia’s apology. What kind of financial backlash ensues for Garcia is yet to be known, but his most prominent and highest-paying sponsor is TaylorMade-adidas Golf, and the company issued a rather open-ended statement that left the petulant Spaniard hanging. “Sergio Garcia’s recent comment was offensive and in no way aligns with TaylorMade-adidas Golf’s values and corporate culture,’’ the statement read. “We have spoken with Sergio directly and he clearly has regret for his statement and we believe he is sincere. We discussed with Sergio that his comments are clearly out of bounds and we are continuing to review the matter.’’ A TaylorMade source told The Post that Garcia earns slightly more than $5 million per year in his endorsement contract. Asked how “continuing to review the matter’’ should be interpreted, the source said it is possible the company would make a more definitive statement “by the end of the week.’’ The source, echoing what much of the sentiment around golf is, said, “[Garcia] says stupid things sometimes, but he is not racist. He’s just dumb sometimes, not a bad guy.’’ Garcia attempted to back up that notion with his profuse apology at Wentworth, where he is playing in the BMW PGA Championship. “To start with … I didn’t mean to offend anyone,’’ Garcia said. “I obviously was caught off-guard by the question, but I understand that my answer was totally stupid and out of place. I can’t say sorry enough about that. “I’d also like to say sorry to the European Tour and my Ryder Cup teammates for taking the shine away from what was a wonderful players’ awards dinner that we all thoroughly enjoyed until that moment. “Obviously, finally and most importantly I want to apologize to Tiger and anybody that I could have offended by the comment that I made and just say that I feel sick about it and I’m truly, truly sorry and I hope that we can kind of settle things down and hopefully move on.’’ Garcia said he reached out to Woods via his agent, Mark Steinberg, to apologize in person. “I don’t have [Woods’] phone number’’ and Steinberg “didn’t pick up.’’ Garcia insisted that his remark “wasn’t meant’’ to have any racial implications. “As soon as I left the dinner, I started getting a sick feeling in my body,” he said. “I didn’t sleep at all last night, felt like my heart was going to come out of my body. I’ve had this sick feeling all day. Unfortunately, I said it. I wish I didn’t do it, but the only thing I can do is say sorry.’’ Garcia said he was not aware of the similarly insensitive Fuzzy Zoeller comments made about Woods at the 1997 Masters (when Garcia was 17) until he was informed yesterday. After Woods won the Masters in 1997, Zoeller said, “You pat him on the back and say congratulations and enjoy it and tell him not serve fried chicken next year [at the annual champion’s dinner]. Or collard greens or whatever the hell they serve.” In that fallout, Zoeller immediately lost his highest paying endorsement contract (K-Mart) and was skewered so severely that his career was never the same again. The next time Garcia and Woods will play in the same tournament together will be at the U.S. Open next month at Merion. The difference is that Rick Ross failed to apologize — Sergio seems to be remorseful, but is it only because of the repercussions? What do you think TaylorMade should do? WENN

Tom Gabel Comes Out As Transgender: In Praise Of Bravery

Why the Against Me! singer’s decision to live as a woman is also a genuine act of courage, in Bigger Than the Sound. By James Montgomery Tom Gabel of Against Me! Photo: Getty Images Tom Gabel probably didn’t want to be praised for her decision to come out as transgender ; she just wanted to be comfortable in her own body. But I’m going to praise her anyway. Because when Gabel announced to Rolling Stone on Tuesday that she planned to begin living as a woman — after struggling privately with gender dysphoria for years — it was undoubtedly the most personal thing a major recording artist has ever gone public with, an admission that’s sure to make her the target of cruel insults and petty insinuations (to say nothing about what it might mean for the future of her band, Against Me!). But rather than focus on the close-mindedness of a select few, it is certainly more worthwhile — not to mention important — to laud Gabel for what is, in its purest form, a genuine act of bravery. To be fair, Gabel is not the first musician to come out as transgender. In the 1970s, electronic artist Walter Carlos announced that he, too, suffered from gender dysphoria and underwent sexual reassignment surgery to live life as Wendy Carlos. And just last year, Life of Agony singer Keith Caputo made headlines when he became Mina Caputo. But Gabel’s case is different. Since her earliest days, she has always been a punk pariah , criticized for “selling out” at every step of her career. I got the sense this bothered her on some level (how could it not? ), because when I interviewed Gabel in 2006 for AM!’s major-label debut, New Wave, she definitely made mention of it, saying: “There is no pleasing everybody. … I guarantee our new record will get the same reaction that all our records get. Some will be like ‘It’s awesome,’ and others will be like ‘I absolutely hate it.’ But fast-forward a few years, and the ones who said they hated it are the ones who say they loved it all along.” It will be interesting to see how Against Me!’s fans — and detractors — react when Gabel begins living life as Laura Jane Grace, because they definitely can’t accuse her of selling out anymore. If anything, her decision to begin gender reassignment treatments is the most punk-rock thing imaginable: being true to one’s self, being unafraid to be different, speaking out regardless of the repercussions. These are the tenets the genre (and, for what it’s worth, way of life) were founded on — and, really, what they should still be about today. If you have a problem with Gabel’s decision, you’re probably not a punk at all. In coming out as transgender, Gabel will undoubtedly inspire others to do the same. She is proof that the truth is nothing to be ashamed of, that there is nothing as important — or admirable — as living the life you want to, on your own terms, detractors be damned. And the fact that Gabel’s wife, Heather, will remain by her side as she begins this new chapter is not only equally inspiring, but, in the wake of the passage of North Carolina’s Amendment 1 , which made law that only a “marriage between one man and one woman” would be recognized by the state, it seems even more important. Because truly, is there any greater definition of love — or support, or dedication or unwavering union — than what they share? You can quote biblical verses to deny that fact, but really, you’d be missing the point. For years, fans like me have marveled at Gabel’s pained yet poignant lyrics, with their searing desires to break free and find a place in the world (on the standout New Wave track “The Ocean,” Gabel growled, “And if I could have chosen/ I would have been born a woman”). It turns out, it went much deeper than that: Gabel was at war with her own body, and now, finally, she’s found the courage to make peace with that conflict. It’s beyond admirable; it’s downright brave. Like she told me six years ago, “There is no pleasing everybody.” Ultimately, you’ve got to please yourself. And with courage and conviction, Gabel has done that. No matter how you feel about her new life, you can’t deny that it’s everyone’s basic right to live life on their terms. That goes beyond music or politics or religion: It’s humanity, pure and simple. Related Artists Against Me!

Octomom: Nude For Closer Magazine!

Octomom Nadya Suleman must be really hard up for money. We draw that conclusion because the mother of 14 has apparently just gone and done what swore she would never do. That being pose totally nude for cash. The house she owns, which has been in and out of foreclosure for more than a year, will be sold at an auction Thursday, so she needs a new place. Now. Thus, the new courtesy of Closer Magazine, whatever that is: You know landlords. Any smart one requires first month’s rent, last month’s rent and a security deposit on a 12-month lease – not a small sum of money. Hence, Nadya Suleman promptly got buck ass naked. Simple as that. TMZ reports that she got $10,000 for the shoot – or 1/100th of what Lindsay Lohan got from Playboy . Still, it was more than enough to rent a place. Nads is openly admitting that unlike when she got pregnant the kiddos – they were all conceived through IVF – she got naked for them this time around. “I’m doing that (posing nude) because I need to feed my kids, she says. “I need to pay the bills. And I’m still very cognizant of the repercussions.” Good to hear. Follow the jump for a better photo of Octomom nude … Octomom: Would you hit it?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Calls Lack Of ’50/50′ Kiss ‘Horrible’

“It’s a travesty,” actor jokes to MTV News about not locking lips with Anna Kendrick in the film. By Amy Wilkinson Anna Kendrick and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in “50/50” Photo: Summit Entertainment Over the weekend, audiences laughed (and cried) along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen in the heartfelt comedy “50/50,” loosely based on writer Will Reiser’s real-life battle with cancer. ( Spoilers ahead! ) Gordon-Levitt’s thoughtful portrayal of 27-year-old cancer patient Adam takes him on a journey from diagnosis to recovery, breaking up with girlfriend Rachael (Bryce Dallas Howard) and sparking a new relationship with therapist-in-training Katherine (Anna Kendrick) along the way. The budding romance is only teased, however, as the two never seal the deal with a kiss. It was a purposeful omission, the film’s writer and stars said at the “50/50” premiere last week in New York. “We very much resisted them kissing,” Reiser told MTV News. “The movie is not a love story. It’s about a guy’s battle with cancer. If it turned into a love story at the end, we would be betraying what the movie is about. That kiss is the start of another movie.” Kendrick, in fact, was relieved she didn’t have to smooch Gordon-Levitt, as they’d become good friends after weeks of filming together. “The studio wanted to see us kiss at the end, actually. We were thinking about just trying it as an option,” she explained. “Joe very wisely stood up and said, ‘If we give it to them as an option, they will use it.’ So we just decided not to do it, because it really just didn’t feel right. And I was relieved, because I had known Joe for too long at that point. It’s too weird once you think of someone as a friend to be like, ‘OK, I guess we make out now?’ ” But Kendrick probably shouldn’t share that sentiment with Gordon-Levitt, because as he told it, he was pretty bummed he didn’t get to kiss his leading lady. “It’s a travesty,” he said with a big grin. “It’s a horrible injustice, and I’m writing a letter.” Check out everything we’ve got on “50/50.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Lindsay Lohan To Be Released From Jail

Actress will reportedly have to wear SCRAM bracelet again upon release. By Mawuse Ziegbe Lindsay Lohan in custody on Friday (Sept 24) Photo: Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department/ Getty Im Lindsay Lohan is expected to be a free woman once again after a second judge agreed with her lawyer that the actress is entitled to bail. Since Lohan’s jailing Friday (September 24), lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley was reportedly working to get her client the option of posting bail . The Los Angeles Times reports that on Friday afternoon, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Schnegg overturned Judge Elden Fox’s order and granted the actress $300,000 bail. TMZ adds that Lohan will have to be outfitted with a SCRAM bracelet within 24 hours and avoid venues where alcohol is the “chief item of sale.” Lohan sported a SCRAM bracelet this summer, which reportedly went off at a party, an incident that ultimately led to her July prison sentence. Lohan was sent to prison exactly one week after she admitted to failing a court-ordered drug test , the screening being one of many conditions the starlet had to adhere to after back-to-back stints in jail and rehab. Judge Fox ordered Lohan to be held without bail until a scheduled October 22 hearing in the case. The move was reportedly a tactic to keep the actress in prison instead of sentencing her outright, which might have cleared the way for early release due to overcrowding. “Ms. Lohan cannot be released early because this isn’t a jail sentence,” L.A. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told People on Friday. “She’s being held by court order until her hearing on October 22. She will be held in the same conditions as her last stay, in a keep-away unit.” Lohan has been frank about her struggles with addiction and recently tweeted about her willingness to face the repercussions of her actions after reports of her failed drug test surfaced. “Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result,” Lohan tweeted last Friday. “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future. … This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.” In July, Lohan served 13 days of a 90-day jail sentence over a probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction. She followed up the jail time with 23 days court-ordered rehab, a fraction the court’s original mandate of 90 days. Paris Hilton Detained In Japan After U.S. Cocaine Plea

Heiress held in hotel room as officials review Monday’s guilty plea. By Gil Kaufman Paris Hilton Photo: Newscom Despite entering a guilty plea in her cocaine-possession case in Las Vegas, Paris Hilton found out Tuesday (September 21) that the repercussions of her arrest will not go away immediately. After flying to Japan on what was described as a business trip to promote her fashion line, the 29-year-old party fixture was delayed by immigration officials upon her arrival in the country. The Associated Press reported that the promotional event on Tuesday was canceled, but it was unknown at press time if Hilton would continue on to the other countries on her itinerary: Indonesia and Malaysia. The promo tour had reportedly been planned before Hilton’s arrest last month after an officer found a small amount of cocaine in her purse following a traffic stop. “Paris was contractually bound to her business trip and didn’t want to let down her brands and many Asian fans,” Hilton spokesperson Dawn Miller said in a statement. “She intended on fulfilling her contract and is trying hard to do the responsible thing, but this is beyond her control. She is very disappointed by tonight’s events.” On Monday, Hilton pleaded guilty to drug possession and obstructing an officer in a deal that will save her from serving a one-year term in jail. In return, she has to pay $2,000 in fines, perform 200 hours of community service and complete what is being described as an “intensive” substance-abuse program. She was also given a one-year suspended sentence in the case, which means that if she is arrested for anything besides a minor traffic violation in Vegas in the next year, she will have to serve the full one-year term. Hilton will also be on probation for one year. The terms did not, however, restrict her travel overseas. TMZ reported that Hilton was held in a Japanese hotel overnight while immigration officials reviewed her case. An unnamed employee of the Consulate-General of Japan in New York told the site that the country has very strict rules about allowing people into the country with recent drug convictions. The hotel heiress was arrested August 27 in Las Vegas after the SUV she was riding in was pulled over and police found 0.8 grams of cocaine in her purse. Hilton later claimed the purse didn’t belong to her and blasted rumors surrounding her case . Related Photos Paris Hilton Pleads Guilty In Las Vegas Moments In Paris Hilton’s Legal Life
