Beck: Obama Will Blame Terror Attack On TSA Resistance

Fox News host warns that administration is preparing to exploit event to squelch resistance to airport security In little noticed comments made during an appearance on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s show on Fox News, Glenn Beck warned that the Obama administration wouldn’t hesitate to exploit a terror attack targeting airliners to blame the event on people protesting naked body scanners and TSA groping in airports. The Fox News host said that the government was deliberately provoking the American people to rise up so they could squelch the growing resistance with an iron fist, noting that Obama has failed to give a single speech addressing the TSA revolt even amidst the biggest holiday travel period of the year. “Let’s get people to rise up and say no scanners….something happens, the President then has the ability to finally give a speech on airport security and say ‘I was trying to protect you and these people stood up against these scanners, and these people died because of it….you have to stop listening, I’ll protect you,” said Beck, implying that the Obama administration would exploit a terror attack to blame it on those protesting against scanners and TSA groping in airports. Beck added that people in the Obama administration were probably having casual conversations surrounding the potential of a terror attack targeting airline travel along the lines of, “Gee, it wouldn’t be so bad, would it?” Beck made similar comments earlier this month when he suggested that the Obama administration was preparing to stage an event that would be blamed on opponents of big government. Discussing how leftists need violence to realize their political agenda, Beck featured a clip in which former Clintonite and Democrat operative Mark Penn said Obama needs an OKC bombing-style event to regain his popularity. “Remember, President Clinton reconnected through Oklahoma, right?” said Penn on Chris Matthews’ Hardball show. “And the president right now seems removed. It wasn’t until that speech [after the bombing] that [Clinton] really clicked with the American public. Obama needs a similar” defining moment, according to Penn. As we have documented, Penn is not the only prominent insider to invoke exploitation of terror as a means of reinvigorating the big government agenda. Back in July, former senior advisor to President Bill Clinton Robert Shapiro wrote in the Financial Times that only an OKC bombing or 9/11 style event could provide Obama with the opportunity to demonstrate that he is a strong leader. After reading a letter written by Tides CEO and founder Drummond Pike that encouraged advertisers to boycott Fox News in a thinly veiled threat that implied Beck’s rhetoric is leading to another OKC bombing, Beck stated, “They are setting up an Oklahoma City, they are claiming that one is coming and they’re already marked the one who caused it,” referring to himself. The resistance to TSA groping and naked body scanners is only accelerating as Thanksgiving nears and a national opt-out protest is less than 48 hours away. More and more cases of TSA abuse continue to pour in on a daily basis as Transportation Security Administration head John Pistole indicates for the first time that the agency may be starting to cave to the backlash. Pistole told CNN’s State of the Union yesterday that screening procedures would not be altered but in a subsequent statement acknowledged that the TSA needed to make airport security “as minimally invasive as possible,” in response to the building nationwide outrage and vows by numerous airport directors to ditch the TSA altogether in favor of private security. http://www.prisonplanet.com/beck-obama-will-blame-terror-attack-on-tsa-resistanc… added by: im1mjrpain

‘Simpsons’ invents new Fox News motto: ‘#1 with racists’

In the world of The Simpsons, Fox News' well-known “fair and balanced” motto has been replaced. On Sunday's episode of the long-running cartoon series, a Fox News helicopter carrying a network executive reads, “Fox News: Not Racists, But #1 With Racists.” After the Fox News executive steps out of the helicopter into the head of the Statue of Liberty, the aircraft goes into a tailspin and crashes. The pilot can be heard saying, “It's not fair, we're unbalanced.” The executive conducts a secret meeting where his team plans a new health care scare that will send their ratings through the roof. Gawker calls The Simpsons episode one of the most anti-Republican ever. At one point in the episode, the likeness of former Vice President Dick Cheney laments the lack of terrorist attacks on America. The creators of the popular television show may cause for concern. Just last week, a Fox News anchor effectively said that all Hispanics were illegal aliens. The anchor, Trace Gallagher, claimed that a new study has shown 100,000 illegal aliens have left Arizona since the passage of a draconian new law, SB 1070, that allows police to check the immigration status of anyone they pull over. “The way they got the numbers is they crunched them using the current US population survey and then they had numbers from the Mexican government, is what they came up with, is that 100,000 illegals have left Arizona — there are 100,000 illegals fewer before SB 1070 was ever talked about,” Gallagher said. Only that's not what the study says. The study actually says that the immigration law in Arizona has likely provoked the voluntary departure of 100,000 Hispanics from the southern US state. Geraldo ‘much more open minded’ about 9/11 thanks to NYC television ads

! By Stephen C. Webster Sunday, November 14th, 2010 — 7:15 pm A new television ad campaign featuring the family members of 9/11 victims has succeeded in garnering what 9/11 activists have lacked for years: serious treatment in the mainstream media. Granted, that media was Fox News host Geraldo Rivera, who in a former iteration ran a Jerry Springer-like daytime talk show. That and, the last time Rupert Murdoch's conservative-tilted television channel seriously talked about issues pertaining to 9/11, they were calling for a public official's resignation over a signature on one of the “9/11 truth” petitions. Still, at the end of his serious-yet-brief treatment of questions surrounding the collapse of World Trade Center 7 (WTC 7, pictured), Rivera admitted that the activists had made him “much more open minded” about questions surrounding 9/11. Rivera spoke in response to an ad playing in 30-second bytes on screens all around New York City, which does not focus on conspiracy theories. It does not feature hip-hop beats in the background or winded, red-faced protesters dressed in black shouting at reporters. It doesn't even mention President George W. Bush, former Vice President Dick Cheney or the systemic failures in America's air defenses. Instead, it puts the spotlight on people who lost family members in the 2001 attacks. Patriotic background music plays as viewers are gently reminded that not two, but three buildings collapsed on 9/11. “Although the official explanation is that fire brought down building seven, over 1,200 architects and engineers have looked into the evidence and believe there's more to the story,” they say. Then they implore viewers to help them seek justice, for their families, simply by visiting a web site: buildingwhat.org. Their campaign's name, “Building What?” was allegedly taken from the response offered by New York Supreme Court Justice Edward H. Lehner, when asked if he knew about WTC 7. “Up until now, only those considered nutjobs questioned the official conclusion, that office fires caused by the nearby catastrophe of the towers collapsing brought down building number seven,” Geraldo said before introducing his guests. Cue a clip of Rosie O'Donnell. “If explosives were involved,” he continued, “that would mean the most obnoxious protesters in recent years … were right.” Geraldo called the new television ad “not so easy to dismiss as those demonstrators were.” The ad is being sponsored by donations to the groups New York City Coalition for Accountability Now (NYC CAN), Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911) and others. They're calling for the New York City council to launch an investigation into the collapse of building seven. NYC CAN, a nonpartisan association of over 100 9/11 family members, is the same group behind a 2009 ballot initiative requesting a new 9/11 investigation. It secured more than enough support to qualify for the ballot but the city ultimately blocked it from going before the voters, citing improperly collected signatures. At time of this writing, AE911 said it had among its members, “1,346 verified architectural and engineering professionals who have put their professional reputations on the line to publicly voice their disagreement with NIST’s findings.” One of Geraldo's guests, Bob McIlvaine, whose son was killed on 9/11, also appeared in a longer, web-exclusive ad released in March after the delivery of a petition and information packets to members of the New York City council. “What caught my eye,” Rivera explained, “was their claim that 1,300 architects and engineers examined the evidence about building seven's collapse and disagree with the official report by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).” NIST's report, released years after the 9/11 Commission Report, argued that the “new phenomenon” of thermal expansion could bring down a steel frame structure. The scientists added that their findings made them worry numerous other structures could be prone to the same style of collapse. In spite of their conclusions, only three skyscrapers are known to have officially collapsed from hydrocarbon fires weakening steel supports, and all of them fell on Sept. 11, 2001. Oddly enough, that same day the BBC reported that building seven had fallen some 23 minutes before it went down and featured a reporter speaking about the third dose of tragedy even as the tower remained standing behind her. Discovery of the mistaken and ill-timed reportage has since fueled talk of an international conspiracy, but the network insists it was simply mistaken and has adamantly denied allegations that it received advance notice of the collapse. “Building seven came down, went into a sudden collapse across the full width and length of the building, for 2.25 seconds, which amounted to 105 feet or eight stories, eight 13-foot-tall stories — it was in full free-fall acceleration, ” explained Tony Szamboti, a mechanical engineer who appeared on Fox News with McIlvaine. “That is impossible because, in a natural collapse, columns would have to buckle,” he said. “When columns buckle, there is a minimum resistance. … It would slow down.” “What are you suggesting brought it down?” Geraldo asked. “I'm suggesting there was some form of demolition devices in that building,” he replied. “… I'm not saying I know what it is. I'm saying that it was at freefall acceleration and the NIST admitted to that.” Geraldo agreed that it looked like a structure “being demolished by the professionals who can actually collapse a building right into its own footprint”. “Why do you think they're lying about it?” he asked, inviting his guest to speculate. Szamboti didn't take the bait. “I don't really know all the details of why they're lying about it,” he said, affirming his position without dipping into the conspiratorial nature of the various 9/11 theories. “I can't read their minds. All I can say is, scientifically, it's impossible for fire to have done what we say.” Geraldo said the new NYC CAN campaign and the serious individuals behind it had made him “much more open minded” about 9/11 activism. CNN’s Zakaria Paints Hezbollah as Tolerant of Jews as Lesson for Ground Zero Mosque Opponents

Catching up on an item from the August 22, Fareed Zakaria GPS on CNN, host Zakaria — formerly of Newsweek — ended his show with commentary in which he ridiculously suggested that Americans who oppose construction of a mosque near Ground Zero could learn a lesson about tolerance from the terrorist group Hezbollah, and cited the group as being accepting of diverse religions – including Judaism – in Lebanon in light of the restoration of a synagogue in Beirut. Without informing viewers of the history of viciously anti-Semitic speech from Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and other leading figures within the anti-Israel group, the CNN anchor quoted Hezbollah’s claim that, rather than being anti-Semitic, they are simply opposed to “Israel’s occupation of Arab lands.” Zakaria: The project is said to have found support in many parts of the community, not just from the few remaining Jews there, but also Christians and Muslims and Hezbollah. Yes, Hezbollah, the one that the United States has designated a foreign terrorist organization. Hezbollah’s view on the renovation goes like this: Quote, “We respect divine religions, including the Jewish religion. The problem is with Israel’s occupation of Arab lands, not with the Jews.” Food for thought. But, as recounted by the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America (CAMERA), Hezbollah members not only desire to take over all of Israel which they consider to be occupied, but the group’s leader Nasrallah has been very direct in his anti-Semitic speech, once even declaring that if the Jewish people “all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide.” Below is a transcript of the relevant portion of the Sunday, August 22, Fareed Zakaria GPS on CNN: And now for the “Last Look.” With all the talk about places of worship and where they do and don’t belong, I wanted you to see this. This is the Magen Abraham synagogue. It’s not in Miami. It’s not in Tel Aviv. It’s in Beirut. That’s right, Beirut, Lebanon. The synagogue is just now emerging from a painstaking restoration project. When the repairs began over a year ago, the temple was literally a shell of its former self. So why did this nation, often teetering on the brink of religious hostilities and hostilities with Israel, restore a Jewish house of worship? To show that Lebanon is an open and tolerant country. And indeed, the project is said to have found support in many parts of the community, not just from the few remaining Jews there, but also Christians and Muslims and Hezbollah. Thanks to all of you for being part of my program this week. I will see you next week.

Wildest Larry O’Donnell Tirades: Limbaugh Not Smart Enough to Enjoy Dumb Sarah Palin’s Book

Lawrence O’Donnell starts his new show The Last Word on Monday night, and over the past few years, O’Donnell put together quite the audition tape to land him a hosting gig for the ever more left-leaning network. On November 13th, 2009 , substitute hosting for Keith Olbermann on his MSNBC show Countdown, O’Donnell engaged in a favorite pastime of that show’s regular host, bashing Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin as he managed to paint both of them as idiots in one single rant. O’DONNELL: Breaking news; in our third story in the Countdown, Levi Johnston has seen Sarah Palin’s Oprah prompted invitation to Thanksgiving dinner, and says, quote, “You can tell by her laugh that she was full of it.” Meantime, Rush Limbaugh calls Palin’s book, quote, “truly one of the most substantive policy books I’ve read,” end quote. Rush, I believe you. I cannot imagine you, in full recline on your Gulfstream, Cuban cigar in hand, struggling to get through a more substantive policy book than Sarah’s index and footnote free, score settling campaign memoir. No mind numbing charts or graphs, no big words, no scholarly Latin phrases, like caveat emptor. And I bet the pictures are, like, amazing. O’Donnell is definitely not a fan of outspoken conservatives. In addition to Palin and Limbaugh, the new MSNBC host went after Dick Cheney on May 21, 2009, following a speech by the former Vice President that was aired live on MSNBC: “He came today to obviously to do nothing much other than defend torture, which he calls ‘tough questioning.’ This was as sleazy a presentation by a vice president as we’ve had since Spiro Agnew. This was an absolute abomination.” Cheney, like most of O’Donnell’s foils, is cast as a passionate liar: He cannot, ever, frame the other side’s position honestly. What you saw with Obama earlier was Obama describes the other side’s position fairly. He then goes on to advance his position. Cheney comes out and lies about the other side, it’s the only way he can talk. He says that Obama will not use the word ‘terrorist,’ when Obama does indeed use that word. He pretends that all we did was tough questioning. He says that 9/11 — he says that 9/11 made everyone take a second look at the threat. That is a lie. Dick Cheney and the President were in possession of memos that said this threat was present, this particular methodology was going to come, that they were going to use airliners. He and the President failed in their first nine months in office to pay any attention to the A.Q. Khan network, who he now wants to take credit for dismantling. What did Cheney do before 9/11? He denies, in this speech, that 9/11 changed him and then describes his very specific activities on 9/11, which were frightening for the Vice President. Then he goes on to say that he thinks about it every day. This guy just has to lie from beginning to end through his setup of his opposition’s position in order to advance any of his ideas at all, none of which have any proof to them at all. O’Donnell is not shy about revealing his liberal economic leanings either as he, on two separate occasions came forward to admit he’s downright socialistic when it comes to fiscal policy . Appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe on February 12th 2010, he told host Joe Scarborough that “We’re socialists, not Marxists,” and when he guested on Scarborough’s March 16th, 2010 radio show confessed: “We liberal Keynesians do not raise taxes in recessions; we raise taxes when you’re making money. That’s when we raise taxes. And we love to do it.” JOE SCARBOROUGH: Lawrence O’Donnell, you were part of the largest tax increase of all-time– O’DONNELL: –The biggest. SCARBOROUGH: –with Bill Clinton. 250 billion dollars. You say Barack Obama’s health care bill will double that– O’DONNELL: –Almost. SCARBOROUGH: –and will raise almost 500 billion dollars.            O’DONNELL: And do so–and here’s the really important economic principle that’s shocking for anyone who’s take the introductory course: they’re going to do it in a recession. You know… [Laughter] O’DONNELL: We, we, we liberal, we liberal Keynesians do not raise taxes in recessions; we raise taxes when you’re making money. That’s when we raise taxes. And we love to do it.

Juan Williams: Missouri’s Anti-ObamaCare Ballot Irrelevant – Only Old White People Voted For It

Juan Williams on Sunday said the passage of Missouri’s anti-ObamaCare ballot initiative last week is irrelevant because only older white people voted for it. Discussing the issue on “Fox News Sunday,” the liberal FNC contributor said, “As far as the Missouri vote, you get 70 percent inside an echo chamber of older white people, no not in St. Louis not in Kansas City, saying, ‘Oh yeah, we don’t like a requirement that everybody has to have healthcare even though the hospitals in Missouri say it’s gonna drive up our costs.'” Host Chris Wallace seemed somewhat stunned by this and asked, “What happened to respect for democracy?” When Williams elaborated saying that he believes this will eventually be decided by the courts, Liz Cheney rightly scolded her colleague, “I think it is stunning you and the White House are unwilling to heed the votes of the people in Missouri” (video follows with transcript and commentary): LIZ CHENEY: You’ve also got Robert Gibbs this week when asked about what does it mean that 71 percent of the people in Missouri said they don’t want any mandate for health insurance, he said, quote, “It means nothing.” Now when you’ve got a White House that is that unwilling to listen to what the people out there are saying, I think that you know, it causes some real concern about whether or not they are actually going to be responsive to the voters. But, I think, frankly it gives the voters much bigger impetus come November to elect some folks who will listen to him. CHRIS MATTHEWS, HOST: Juan? JUAN WILLIAMS: I like George W. Bush, but the decider? I think, he’s the one that coined that phrase. He said he was the decider when he was president, so I guess President Obama can be the decider now that he is president. Isn’t that the deal? CHENEY: I don’t think Bush ever said he got to decide who had the keys to the scar. WILLIAMS: Look, I think this is, and as far as the Missouri vote, you get 70 percent inside an echo chamber of older white people, no not in St. Louis not in Kansas City, saying, “Oh yeah, we don’t like a requirement that everybody has to have healthcare even though the hospitals in Missouri say it’s gonna drive up our costs, everyone is just going to run to the emergency rooms when they have their accidents.” WALLACE: What happened to respect for democracy? WILLIAMS: I have tremendous respect for democracy, but as Ted Olson… WALLACE: The proposition was on the ballot… WILLIAMS: Yes. WALLACE: …and 71 percent voted in favor of it. WILLIAMS: That’s who’s energized. The unions didn’t participate and they didn’t get out there… WALLACE: Well, that’s their problem, isn’t it? WILLIAMS: Right, so because everybody knows, as Ted Olson told you in an earlier segment on the gay rights issue, the courts, the courts have said that federal law trumps state law in this area, or they will decide if it’s to be the case. WALLACE: That has to do with immigration, we are talking about healthcare. WILLIAMS: That is exactly right, Chris, on the issue, does, can a state say that we will not require our citizens to buy health insurance? That issue is right now being taken up by several attorney generals around the country in seperate states, and, they will eventually end up in the courts. I hate to inform you of this, you should know this as our anchor. (Laughter) CHENEY: It is a real constitutional issue whether or not the federal government has the right to force people to buy insurance, and I think it is stunning you and the White House are unwilling to heed the votes of the people in Missouri. Isn’t it wonderful how much race is now brought into every discussion about politics? I thought Barack Obama was going to change all that.
